Sandhya stands third in her university and this is the kind of day she has! No celebrations, only fear, feeling defensive, being looked at like as if she had done the worst sin, accused of all manner of things... poor thing! If her parents had been alive they would have feted her like anything. But now she has to stand in the yard like a culprit, answering, justifying her intelligence, her education, her background, her values. Sooo sad!
