Since I am missing my daily dose of MaanEet, so thought of writing a poem on them. This is my first shot at writing a poem, so please tolerate it if it did not come out right. 😊
An Ode to Maan and Geet's eternal love
He was a restless soul, who found peace only in her presence
She was a subdued soul, who found herself when he entered her life
He was angry young man, who only she could tame, and who tamed only for her
She was a timid girl, he brought out the tigress in her, a tigress that the world came to respect and admire
He had the world at his feet, but still lived far from happiness
She was disowned by the world she knew since birth, still never forgot to smile
He steeled his heart, she entered it without even trying
She protected her self-respect, he nourished it with every breath he took
She made his black and white life colorful
He helped her discover her inner strength
She brought light in his dark world
He saved the light in her
He faced himself because of her
She faced the world because of him
He protected her life with his life
She protected his heart with her heart
She became his reason to live
She was alive because of him
She became his source of bliss
He became her source of strength
He stood by her without a question asked,
She seek only his help even though he was a stranger
She was the only one he could call his
He was God's gift to her
She brought out the child in him
He nourished the childishness in her
His heart was meant to be worshiped
Her innocence was meant to be treasured
He loved her unconditionally
She loved him with every fiber of her being
He was a man of righteousness and truth
She only followed the path of truth
The only promise he asked from her was to never leave him
For her, death would be easier than leaving him
She restored his trust in humanity
He was the only one she trusted blindly
They tried to create miles of distance between them
Only to realize that they could not exist even an inch apart
They fought themselves, they fought the world to remain apart
But their heart and destiny always led them to each other
He was imperfect, she was imperfect
Together they completed each other
Their bond was spiritual, their love eternal,
They were one for each other and one to the world
He was Maan Singh Khurana and she was Geet Singh Khurana
And blessed are the souls who witnessed their eternal love.
