agree in principle...but a difficult work to achieve this.

Very difficult to make people understand that they need to be more interested in social issues.
somebody will have to take up the initiative and make people interested..... entertainment is a easy way out ...if they can have a programme where they can mix up the two things may be it will attract more interest....there are a lot of talented people out there who can do it ...
RDB is one good example...rakesh om prakash mehra was able to make lot of people think in that direction and make a difference.
As far as SMS is concerned it is all money making business..so as somebody rightly said in the forum the money goes in circulation and some way or the other country's economy benefits....but yes it doesnot directly go to a worthy cause.

Actually Copying things directly from west(American Idol and voting scheme) is ridiculous in country where there is diversity in language,region,etc.

Obviously there is loss of talent on the basis of regionalism.

Maharashtrians are poor at voting (Nihira, Amey date)
Actually many in Mumbai are outsiders who again support their "soil children"

South doesnt watch hindi shows (hemu,karunya)

And SUPPOSE EVERYTHING GOES RIGHT and people vote for real talent then also THERE IS A LOT OF WASTE OF MONEY.

LOT MEANS CRORES & CRORES OF RUPEES.

Actually all is done for business in the name of TALENT
AND WE ARE PUPPETS OF THE WHOLE SHOW!!

TRP FACTOR:more people vote more the people await to see results.But if show is good (w/o SMS) people will see for entertainment.
Eg : laughter challenge( voting only in semis and finals)


CONTRACT FACTOR: channels give contracts on the money they make out of SMS's.If SMS's are rubbed off True talent will come out And exposure they naturally get by repeted ads on tv will anyways help!! No need of contract
they will directly get good offers.(T series offered album to sonu nigam)


So plz stop wasting ur useful money.

i dnt agree wid this cos i work hard to earn the money i get... so i should be able to spend it on wot i wanna spend it on... not on wot sumone tells me to spend it on! n its my choice in wot i wanna spend it on... n it is certainly not my choice to spend it on these news channels stuff! i think this thread should be closed cos it has nothin to do wid srgmp!

I totally agree with u because its not 3 rs but quiet more than that and also most of the people don't vote by talent but by emotion and regionalism.
so by fooling us these production companies r earning a lot

Agree, people are being fooled to waste money and regionalism is getting an upper hand than talent
