In my opinion, it does apply equally to everyone.
The good point about Siddharth is that he has learned from his past mistakes and behaves in a lot more mature manner these days. A few days ago, when Pooja Missra was instigating him, more than once, he just stayed away from the entire drama. Three weeks ago, he would have made a mess of the entire situation, and gave Pooja what she wanted: attention.
Mahek did use to play the 'poora hindustan dekh raha hai!" card very often however, in all other ways, she was very, very good. She wasn't involved in petty politics neither was she siding with the wrong people. She stood for the right things. Sky's behavior with her, in my opinion, was very disrespectful. You need not talk about someone's past -- if you have a problem with them, discuss the problem, don't resort to personal attacks.
The same with Juhi, Sunny & Sky; they need to understand that the way they go ahead and malign anyone, without even thinking twice, is pathetic. It's fine that you have a problem with someone but commenting on someone's intentions, or his character, or bringing his family in the picture isn't good at all. Sky has done that twice -- once with Mahek and recently with Amar.
The show is a show, if you participate in it, it doens't mean the contestants can create problems in your actual life, outside the Bigg Boss house. With her behavior, Juhi for sure has lost a lot of fans outside. She has been very disrespectful of everyone: other contestants, the host and I have no doubt if it comes down to her own group being in the last three, she would resort to the same sort of hypocrisy within her own group. Most people didn't know Sunny but she hasn't gained a lot of fans either.
Recently, if I remember correctly, she and Sunny were discussing they want to kick all the boys out of the house. I have no issues with that; play your game the way you want to. However, then, where's the brother/sister relationship, the imaandari, etc? Also, by Sky's yardstick, Juhi and Sunny both are doing and saying different things. :-)
