Part 17
Khushi woke up in the morning with a smile on her face. She went to get ready as Arnav was coming to pick her up. Today she decided to wear a pale sea green sari which was embroidered with silver jewels, and Khushi matched all her make up to the sari. She looked stunning. She had clipped her fringe back with a small silver clip. She also looked innocent and cute at the same time. She walked outside and went to Arnav's car and sat down.
'Does she ever stop being so breathtaking?' thought Arnav to himself. Arnav was also wearing a deep green shirt, somehow they always wore matching clothes. They drove straight to the mall as Anjali and Akash and Mami were already there. They walked in together, hand in hand.
'Hey Khushi, you look so pretty. Chote, you have such a beautiful wife to be,' said Anjali while hugging Khushi. Khushi smiled sweetly while blushing.
'Let's go now,' said Arnav. He once again held Khushi's hand. They went up to the Indian Clothing Store, Anjali and Mami chose many sherwani's for him but Khushi only chose one, Khushi chose the one which was cream, with small embellishments that were maroon. He went to try them all, but only one was perfect for him, Khushi's choice. When he had tried them all on, they all asked Arnav which one he liked, he said
'This one, Khushi chose this for me,' said Arnav. He looked up at Khushi who was now blushing. They all agreed that this was the best one. They walked over to the counter to pay. Arnav bought Khushi with him, he held her hand.
'Thank you for choosing such a nice sherwani for me, Khushi,' whispered Arnav.
'It's OK,' said Khushi shyly. He paid for the sherwani and he went back to everyone else who was waiting outside. He kissed Khushi's cheek to say thank you. But no-one saw this.
'Hey, come on let's go and buy Khushi's things now,' said Anjali. Arnav and Khushi were talking when they Khushi had to choose bangles, Khushi walked into the store with Anjali and went to pick out some bangles for her wedding and other ceremonies. Arnav saw a perfect set of bangles for Khushi. He went up to the store owner and asked him for this set of bangles, he walked up to Khushi and showed her the bangles, she thought they were beautiful, he took out her hand and took off her bangles, put on the new set of bangles. He did it so carefully because he didn't want to harm his fragile angel. Khushi showed Anjali, and Anjali said they were beautiful and these would be the ones she would wear for the wedding. Arnav went and bought them while Khushi put on her normal bangles.
'Now it is my turn to say thank you,' whispered Khushi to Arnav. Khushi held his hand, took him into the corner of the shop where it was empty, kissed his lips. He held her waist as always and kissed her. When they pulled away from each other Khushi said,
'Was that thank you OK?'
'Yes it was Khushi. It was the best thank you I have ever got,' said Arnav. They went back to Anjali who had bought the rest of the bangles for other ceremonies. Khushi's marriage was nearing very quickly. She was super excited but nervous about her wedding night.
