umm how old are you? staying in that relationship is not healthy for the gay man or the married woman! why would you stay iin a loveless marriage. let me ask you this: if gaurav was straight and loved another women would you still say this? you get a divorce before anything bad happens-- because in real life, you can't ALWAYS seduce your partner. sometimes the love is actually true no matter if ur an indian woman or american!

For me emotional needs are greater than physical needs too but that does not zero out physical needs! just remember that!

Bringing up these same lame isolated incidents is not enough to generalize that homosexuality is a choice as the vast majority if not all gay people feel that they were born this way. In your first example, the man did not turn gay, perhaps he was always gay, but was tired of hiding it and living a life full of lies, so came out! In your second example, the guy either was never gay or now forcing himself to be straight. These are also perfectly reasonable explanations.

You're probably right with what you say. To be honest whether I accept homosexuality or not (I'm not saying I don't) I would never discriminate against them, and I don't consider them any less of a human than me. Nonetheless whether people want to see it on TV or not I think Maryada is doing a perfect depiction of being gay and what it does.

We are all human beings, gay, black, white, brown. There should not be any discrimination. Some are born different than others, Where in any scriptures of the Five most important religions do they put down Homosexuality? They don't!! Also, Ram and Krishna never even put them down nor had any discriminations about them, and especially India's caste system. On one hand India is proud about the Avatars and about Gandhi's teachings and on the other hypocritical end they advocate discrimination to their own kind with caste systems and homosexuality. Prejudice on any level is very malicious and eats at the society and one's soul.
Also Indians believe in so many Devi Ma's and don't respect their women, they are treated like slaves or raped and baby girls are treated worse than animals or killed. What a very negative portrayal of society with lots of superstition! The Developing World looks onto India as Underdeveloped in their mentality and attitude.
It is about time India changes the attitude. As the saying goes 'As times change so should the attitude"

To be honest, some religions from the top 5 do have a strict view on this..

well that is interesting...I remember to have read the story of Jonathan and David in the bible, and they did seem to be much more than "friends", i recommend you to read again the chapter..especially the part where they are hugging naked in the tent (sorry it is not provocation, it is truly written). But then comes the question who have a problem with homosexuality, religion itself or some men who are pretentious enough to believe that they are the only ones to know what God's will is and to dictate all of us... I am not a religious person, I believe only in human being, But I had a religious education and It is said that the bible can be interpreted in 70 different ways.. No one knows what is its real meaning. So now, some people,, less than a tiny percent of the population, can dictate us how to interpret what we read... because? they are the messengers of God on earth or smth? common! then it is funny because they are also in general the same persons who are forbidding divorce for exemple, the same persons who are asking women to seat in the back of buses, asking women to cover themselves and to walk behind their husband and to look at the floor... sometimes they also burn them alive or stone them to death...this is in religion too? show me where it is written? because I rode the Bible and the Koran and I could not see where all this is written.

TM I am not too well read about the Indian culture but u seem even less informed than me. LGBT themes have existed in Indian culture for years and read this detailed information on wikipedia in your free time and then if possible get over your homophobia.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_themes_in_Hindu_mythology

As long as no one is imposing their opinions onto you I think you are safe. This drama is not imposing gay culture onto you and expecting you to accept homosexuality with open arms, it is an effort to make people more tolerant towards LGBT's and hats off to the cvs for daring to attempt it👏👏👏

People who think this drama should close down becuase it can't watched as it deals with very sensitive issues like adultery, sexual- harassment, I think u r quite young and innocent living with wonderful parents who want to keep you protected and find it too hard to digest reality. A piece of advice don't watch such a drama which you find difficult to relate to there are millions of channels which show millions of other drama at 11:00 pm watch them

When it comes to the bible I would suggest you refer to the very first one, where there has been no alterations to suit society. Then form a objective consensus. Where as if you look at Islam it is stated in the Qur'an clearly:

"We also sent Lut : He said to his people : "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds." Qur'an 7:80-81

If you look at Judaism:

Lev.20,13 And if a man lie with mankind, as with womankind, both of them have committed abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
