Rakhi Sawant is embroiled in controversy which has become a social hot potato....She raised a rumpus about her "friend" forcibly kissing her at his birthday and now she's demanding a public apology from him on national television......There was a very loud altercation on one of the news channels......It was a debate on NDTV india( a hindi news channel), and the panel consisted of Rakhi, a politician who was the Ex-chairman of the censor board(who looked somewhat of an octogenerian😆)an editor of a magazine(I think) and an activist who works for the emancipation of women , a moderator and an audience of around 75-100

The debate in a nutshell........(NO, no one defended the "assualter")

#1)Vulgarity does NOT imply a woman's availability🤢🤢, but sadly when such a woman screams blue murder, she would stand a very slim chance of being empathised with ......Whatever said and done, such polemics by a woman of Rakhi's ilk wouldnt go on to be rabble rousing....

#2)Rakhi was screaming herself silly saying that "she works very hard on her "ACTING"❓❓❓(wait a minute..someone tell me...does Rakhi really "act"???..Music videos=acting???? from when??), that it is(meaning the "aesthetic" boogie😛 ) the director's brainchild and she has to comply and that she is serving the audience only what they yen for😕......

#3)She harped on that she wasnt hauling her assaulter to court to garner publicity..apparently,she what has happened to her can also happen to a girl donned in a salwar(BTW, I believe she wore a "glamourous"( which the audience believed was the euphimistic form of "vulgar")backless top for the event )...and she is setting some kind of an example, and henceforth, a man would think before abusing a woman(😕😕😕)..These were rakhi's words😛

#4)Rakhi confesses that she has no qualms whatsoever about her being deemed as "sexy"...She(ok, this really had me in splits) says that "mein is desh ki beti hoon aur mujhe insaaf dilana aap sab ka phras hai"...meaning I am the daughter of the nation and it becomes the onus of the junta to get me justice".....She also hinted that she has a great fan following❓😆 and that people come in whopping numbers to watch her performance.....

#5)The film industry is no joke...all ACTORS like Rakhi(❓❓) work very hard and plain skin show wouldnt help her reach the zenith..the film industry works harder than every other industry😕(The ex-censor board chairperson's words😕)

#6)Since the audience like the videos(and apparently rakhi's 6 minute video in a film set the wheels in motion😕), they watch it and enjoy it...There is no point in making a big issue out of it..if one cant stand the HEAT(pun intended), one must get out of the kitchen(a ka not watch the videos)

#7)Just because Rakhi dresses in a certain fashion, it doesnt mean that she's insinuating herself into men😕

Your views.........😊

Rakhi is absolutely correct about being an actor. And a damned good one she is too.

Only a superb actor could have delivered all those lines with a straight face.

Well....My opinion: That may have happened to Rakhi and the incident might be true... but she, despite being the victim, is making fuss of herself as if this incident is not insulting to her (inside😕) and turning it into an opportunity for controversy 😕.. I mean if she wants justice.. GO through the legal process only... why to come on TV channels for DEBATES😕.. i mean debate!😕 its strange🤢...debate clearly gives an intention for publicity.. and publicity when she's a victim..that's horrible 🤢

LOL, it was a tad humourous...She was saying that she wouldnt dress the way she does for the videos in normal life...and she was donned in a shirt(which was a brown one with the US ARMY sumbol embossed 😆😆) and a trouser

I am not a big fan of her...actually she is not even an actor, she is dance fly..not in the same category. Whatever happened to her, shouldn't have happened. No one was there and no one knows the truth...
I agree with Abhijeet that doesn't matter if she does half po*no videos...no one has the right to get physical with her. Well she knows better n ow....don't go to MIka's party or avoid men like him

Umnnn.......I wonder if she would cry as loud if she is not given any media coverage and asked to fight it out the legal way, and actually be the annonymous party till the whole case was solved... 🤢

It's true that no one has the right to abuse a girl just because of her profession, no matter what kind. But turning any opportunity into a publicity circus is equally disgusting........

Especially when there is no proof whatsoever.....

I agree with you. I watched Mika's interview as well. Don't know who is right, but he said ," if she wasn't my friend, I wouldn't have invited her," If she had a problem with my friends, she should have come to me and we could have resolved the issue outside the court." He also said at a professional level she is hurting him because now he can't go to international concerts to perform. Don't know if he is being honest or if she is looking for trouble...😕

I think it is nothing but a publicity gimmick. When the controversy first aired on TV, they did not show any 'SMOOCH' (UGH!) as she puts it. The kiss being aired at that time was just a social kiss. and come on, that is common in most circles, not only the glamour set.
After that, some new evidence appeared, which was apparently incriminating, which I have not seen yet.
If Mika kissed her forcibly, it was wrong, If it was just the social smooch, then she should get over it.
If she wants to get "justice" then she should go about it in a dignified way.
Her behaviour on all the news channels is nothing short of Agressive, she starts screaming at anyone who does not agree with her, even if the view is only objective.
I was listening to Radio Mirchi this morning, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy were on, and when asked Rakhi Sawant or Mika, all three of them said Mika. I think that she just wants to be in the public eye. That's all.

AN article......

Rakhi Sawant was sexually assaulted

Rakhi Sawant Kissing controversy is refusing to die down. The hot item girl has now took her case to the National Commission for Women (NCW) with a complaint of sexual assault against bhangra singer Mika.

Sawant, in her complaint that she e-mailed to the Commission yesterday, said Mika "brutally assaulted me and forcibly smooched me," NCW sources told

She said she was lodging the complaint as the Punjabi singer "publically in front of the media insulted me and sexually assaulted me."

The Commission has taken cognizance of the complaint and agreed that prima facie appeared to be a case of sexual assault.

"From what we have seen in the electronic media, it is clear that Mika's behaviour with Rakhi Sawant was wrong. It prima facie appears to be a case of sexual assault," NCW chairperson Girija Vyas said in a statement.

Sawant, who e-mailed her complaint of sexual assault against Mika to NCW on Thursday, will be meeting Vyas on Monday for a personal hearing.

NCW has also sought a report from Mumbai police over the action it has taken on the fir lodged by Sawant in the matter.

"As the matter is in court now, we hope justice will be done," Vyas said.

Sawant, in her complaint to the Commission said Mika 'brutally assaulted me and forcibly smooched me'.

She said she was lodging the complaint as the Punjabi singer 'publically in front of the media insulted me and sexually assaulted me'.

Recounting the alleged incident, Sawant said she visited Mika's birthday party on his invitation and greeted him like a good friend. "But to my surprise, he took advantage of our relationship and forcibly kissed me on my lips twice," she said.

She said she had asked Mika to apologise to her in front of the media but he has refused to do so.

"I need justice. I need to set an example that women cannot be taken for granted," Sawant said.

Coming to Rakhi's rescue..

Taking a strong view of Bollywood starlet Rakhi Sawant's complaint of sexual assault against pop singer Mika, the National Commission for Women (NCW) today sought footage of the party where the alleged incident took place to explore the possibility of action against those who made slight of the "forced kiss".

"We have asked TV channels to send us footage of the party as we want to identify the guests who made fun of the incident. Action should be taken against all those who made slight of it," NCW Chairperson Girija Vyas told reporters here.

"What we have seen on TV has left us stunned. It is clearly a case of sexual assault," she said.

Emphasising that every girl should take training in self-defence to deal with such situations, Vyas said had she been in Sawant's place, "I would have slapped him (Mika) then and there." The Commission, taking cognizance of a complaint submitted by Sawant against Mika, has sought a report from Mumbai police on the action taken on an FIR lodged by the Bollywood performer in the matter.

"It is not a matter of an individual or of Rakhi alone. This is a symbolic case through which we want to make it clear that women cannot be treated as objects," Vyas said.

Sawant has complained to the NCW that she was sexually assaulted by Mika, saying he "forcibly kissed" her at his birthday bash.
