One of the things that was puzzling to me was why Phooli, when she left with the baby did not bother to close the door or lock the door from the outside -- i think that would have been my natural reaction in that moment.
Yes, it would take one minute more -- but in the long run would provide me with some more running time incase my stupid creepy naata inlaws woke up and realized the baby was gone... or even that all the series of doors behind me were wide open.
Instead, she left the outside door (door to the courtyard where she was banging the previous night to be let in) wide open too.
I understand that she was just in a flight mode -- and that this was not some sort of carefully planned through strategic plan she had in mind -- it was just instinct and the opportunity presented itself and she took it -- but still i keep putting myself in such a situation and i honestly think i would have locked the door behind me and then run like the wind with the child.
Here these people just caught up with her within 5 minutes. She hadnt even turned the corner poor thing.
