Don't be surprised if you land up on the set of Sahara One's Sati and find Manasi Salvi gorging on delicious food brought on the set by her mom. The actress reveals that her mom has been visiting the sets of her show everyday for the last three years.
Giving company
"During my first show, Aashrivad, my mom used to accompany me on the sets dutifully every day. She would sit with me in the make-up van and give me company till the very end. I used to stay in Thane, so travelling alone was not permitted for me," says Manasi.
If she were not able to make it to the sets for a day, she would call unit guys and check how Manasi is doing. "She's the most loving and affectionate mom anyone can have. Actually my entire family has been very supportive of my career.
Since my mom would be out the entire day with me, my sister would take care of the household chores and even complete her studies at the same time. My dad, too, has made sure wherever I go, he would always know my whereabouts."
Now mum's relaxed
Now since she's three-shows-old and married (to director Hemant Prabhu), her mom now visits her only on Sundays.
"She's definitely more relaxed now as my husband is also the director of the show, I am working on. These days, she visits me on Sundays with a box of goodies that contain fruits, or something special she has made. In fact, I always look forward to her visits."
Saas packs tiffin
Manasi's daily dabba has now changed hands from her mother to her mother-in-law. "My mother-in-law packs the tiffin for me these days. She's also very caring." After the hoardings for her show Sati went up all over the town, Manasi made a small trip with her mom to check them out.
"We went on a yatra to see the giant hoardings. This is the first time I have been on such big hoardings, so it was very exciting for me and my family."
