Telecom and Information Technology Minister Kapil Sibal has urged social network companies like Facebook, Twitter and Google to screen content and remove offensive material likely to offend religious communities, or morphed pictures of Sonia Gandhi and PM Manmohan Singh. It's stupid. We live in a free democratic country where we are allowed to speak or write what we want. Putting a restriction on such content won't completely stop it. If you delete one profile, they will come back with another. I don't think it will stop. Having said that, there shouldn't be any policing on the internet as it's a free medium.
