Heyya guys,

I am amal. Like most of you guys, I too am a lover of HP and yes, my childhood can easily be described as magical because of one woman, JK Rowling. I was watching HP DH 2 today once again and my parents din't understand why I cried again when I already knew what happened. I guess the answer cannot be expressed in words. But I was giving a try to explaining to them about HP and it went on for more than an hour. So I thought of making this post to discuss why you love HP. Yes the whole series is worth a lifetime. But what in special. Each one is different and what stands out for you in HP, thats what this topic is about. So go ahead with it. :)

Love and Prayers,
Amal

PLS: Can someone tell me how to stop crying because of a fictional stuffs and a world that has less chances of existence. I have been emotional all day.

Honestly, I feel like words cannot express the gratitude I feel towards the Harry Potter series. Its been so many things for me that its hard to describe.
As for your boulder in your heart thing, well I had that too, but only momentarily.
For me, Harry Potter will never be over. Its magic will always be alive in my heart. In the words of Sirius Black, "The ones we love never truly leave us."

No worries! You're defo. not alone, even I tear up whilst reading/watching the more emotional moments in DH 1 and 2. And yeah..just a while back, my bro and me watched DH 2 again..and I was in tears by the end of it all! So yeah...I guess no other fictional book will ever come close to what HP is for me. :S And that too, after so many years of the whole saga ending...it really can never end for us.

OMG, I was feeling this exact same thing while watching DH 2. I too even cried, and my mom just can't understand why.
There's something that tugs at my heart while watching the last 2 installments. Like a beautiful dream that slowly came to an end.
HP took up majority of my childhood, it's hard to forget. I grew up along with it

I cry each and every time I watch DH 2. Especially when I watch Snape's death scene though it is described better in the book.

Beautiful topic Amal dear :) And you are certainly not alone.

Harry Potter, I believe is just not a 'book' for all of us here. Its something most of us have grown up with, its has been a huge part of lives and to let go off something that has a emotional value is not that easy.It has contributed to our lives in some way or the other, and has got its own worth and value.

To desribe something of that sort in words is hard but having said that, HP (Books/Movies) like everyone said, will never be 'over'.Its something that is here to stay forever etched in the hearts and minds of its readers/viewers.As JK Rowling said, 'The stories we love best do live in us forever so whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home'.

HP...a magical word when we hear this word it fills our heart with immense emotion... My bro is a huge fan of HP...he always watches HP in his cell phone..it's evergreen for him...he read all the books and all the movies...he's so addicted that he made an magical wand, reseraction stone, invisible cloak [which is not invisible @ all]...I've never saw him crying @ any moment but when the last scene of HP DH2 occured i saw little tear drops on the corner of his blue eyes..soon he saw me he wiped out the tear from his eyes...i wasn't a huge fan of HP at all but since the day i saw his emotion toward HP I saw all the series and understoood his feelings...HP has a magic to attach us all

"Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home"

When DH2 movie ended I sat there for a few minutes literally had tears in my eyes and I couldnt stop because there will be no more books to look forward to, no more movies to look forward to. HP means the world to me and I cannot explain it why, it just does. My parents and family make fun of my because I'm so attached to it, but it is something only a true Potterhead can understand. One of my biggest wishes is to meet JKR personally and thank her for giving me (and million others) this amazing series
