Aryan's mother, Sitadevi, is trying very hard to get Vaidehi to reject her son's proposal. Sitadevi knows Vaidehi's marriage to Aryan is going to be a nightmare for her.
She is constantly troubled by the aftermath of the
wedding. She knows that Vaidehi's dreams of finding happiness will all be shattered and she is helpless and can do nothing. As a final resort, Sitadevi asks Maya, her friend and companion, to talk to Vaidehi and tell her the truth.
