Trust, Honesty and Lies...

Last night's episode was sort of bizarre at the beginning with Bua Dadi making such a big deal out of the noodles. Who does that?! No one says stuff like that! I bet even orthodox families must've eaten Maggie Noodles at least ONCE in their life! It's impossible for anyone in India not to have tried it! Anyways, my topic isn't about how crazy the Bajpai's are. The second bit of the episode was sweet with Anant trying to apologize in all the ways he could but... idk why, I was very disappointed with Anant.

The lack of support he showed and the way he lied was very unlike his character. I know the CVs wanted to show some cute scene between AnYa and show how Navya is trying to deal with spending time with Anant, Ritz and adapt the new culture that she has to merge with eventually but that doesn't mean they show Anant doing something out of his character.

Anant is always shown as the supportive boyfriend, he always takes the blame for Navya, he always takes care of her! Leaving Navya in such a situation that she wasn't even aware of is just...unbelievable and irresponsible. Anant promised to take care of her and make her happy and support her in everything and just to save himself one round of taunting from Bua Dadi, he totally steps out?! It's not like he's never heard Bua Dadi telling him off! One more wouldn't have made a difference! BE A MAN, ANANT!

Anyways, the fact that he didn't support her just pissed me off like how it pissed her off. The second bit that got me more pissed was that he lied. It just made me remember a scene between them way before. You know when he tells Navya the very first time that he loves her, when he was sick and Navya comes to meet him? After that they have a phone conversation where he asks her if she loves him.

Anant says, "Sach bologi nah? Bharosa kar raha hoon tum pe..." and Navya replies back with a promise she's kept till date, "Main tumhe kabhi bhi jhoot nahi bolongi, Anant"

And then I thought, Anant expects Navya to never lie to him because he TRUSTS her. He puts ALL his trust on her and expects her to tell the truth. So when Anant lied to Navya about her job and then lied to his family as well, I was thinking, "Mate, they trusted you too. And you just took their trust and flushed it down the toilet!" Then when this noodle-fiasco happened, Anant lied AGAIN. Navya seemed pissed at the fact that he lied more than the fact that he didn't support her. He had promised her after the whole job thing that he wouldn't ever lie but he did! And that's just not my Anant! The real Anant sticks to his word!

So I was disappointed by Anant today. And even though what he was doing was realllyyy cute to pacify Navya, it was still disappointing... Anant, my bwoy! Not impressed by today... Navya deserves better!

Wonderful post! I too have been racking my brains and wondering, WHY are we seeing Anant's character being assassinated so brutally? He was the same guy who promised to stand by her through thick and thin, he fought with his entire family to get married/engaged to her, nearly left the house for the same reason! And now for something as petty as a packet of noodles, the guy just lies, to save his own neck? Its funny, he could fight against his entire khandaan for something so major like his wedding, and now he can't even own up? The fact that he lied for such a stupid reason was disgusting, to say the least. I was really pissed off at the writers, CVs, directors and Anant's character. I mean, how much can you murder a character yaar! I'm NOT liking this turn of events in the show! Even if it is to bring the plot forward, do the CVs really have to murder the characters to do the needful? Not IMO at least!

Hey I am agree with you , very well written .Navya cvs are brilliant in murder of any character .I dont now is he the same anant shown in yesterday episode who stands for navya infront is his loonie family , support her during kanpur darma n few days back concern for her and said he will be her side at everytime .If cvs do this do for anya scene i am not agree with all .They made anant stand n take a blame as you said , even then also we get good scenes of ANYA , where navya will thanks to her n all .

Hope atleast now cvs understand that for any track murder of any character sensiblity is not required

Absolutely correct!! The CVs are pretty confused when it comes to Anant's character...they are just moulding it as per the requirements of the plot.. So he's pal me masha, pal me tola Yes, Anant dissappointed me yesterday like never before... The way he acted does not justify the Anant whom we saw raising his voice against his family when he found about his Nimi's engagement... Where did that Anant go? Navya has all her hopes laid on Anant, if he continue behaving this way, then I won't be surprised if she re-considers her decision to marry him!
