Hi MT,
The song has 3 versions by Manhar, Rafi and Hemlata...
The Rafi one is slightly different....

The first stanza is the same as above,The second was the one I posted
the third goes as follows

Tere jamal se roshan ho
Qainaat meri
Meri talash, teri dilkashi rahe baaki
Khuda kare ki yeh deewangi rahe baki
Teri wafa hi meri har khushi ka haasil hai

Very very apt lyrics

Very intellectual u outsmarted our MT how old r u tat u know about Rafi, Manhar and Hemlata. I have only heard of one of tem and tat is Rafi.

😆 Suku, Mein kya koi Einstein hoon, joh mujhe koi outsmart nahin kar sakta? Lolz...My two year old outsmarts me the whole time...Makes a complete Paploo out of me! 😕 😆

Coming back to the song, I thought that the female version was sung by Usha Mangeshkar! Hmmm, isn't Hemlata the same lady who has also sung, "Ankhiyon ke jharokon se..." That's another perfect song for Bani to sing... 😃

Hey, I loved the lyrics that you have put, the one sung by Rafi....

The movie is called, "Aap toh aise nah the?" starring Ranjeeta and Raj Babbbar!

Hindi Songs fromt the 80's are fabulous....Silsila has some beautiful songs.....

Cheers,

MT
