PART 10

Rano after returning home told Geet that RH has gone out for a conference that was held in Pune in the afternoon itself, as it was going to take place for the next 2 days... She told Geet to call him later and tell him about her mishap... Soon even Pinky came from class and got to know about Geet's injury... Pinky was actually laughing at Geet for such an idiotic accident, but least did she know what had happened there then she would have not said this...

Geet later went to her room thinking about the events that were occurring in her life... She didn't know how to sought them... Were they needed to be soughted??? She was in a daze... She thought that she should tell about this to RH, if it was anyway related to any kind of disease that she is able to see or rather know about someone's personal life... and then she realized that all the stuff that was happening to her were one or the other way connected to Maan...

Maan, she thought...Immediately the happenings of the morning came as a flash in front of her eyes... She felt so safe in his arms... Like that place in his arms was meant for her... She felt those few minutes like many hours to her... Even though, what had happened was her stupid mistake but she didn't regret it all... Ofcourse, who will regret falling in the arms of such a handsome n lovely man... Even when he had come to meet her in the hospital, she had felt as if she knew him from a very long time... as if they had been together since they were born...

Then she again came out of Maan's dreamland and started analysing as to why everything was connected to him... Is it my illusion or was it all seriously happening to me, she thought... She was going crazy thinking all this and finally decided that she would talk to RH after he comes back home from his conference... As of now she was only going to tell him about her injury and decided to call him... She picked up her landline to call RH on his private number that was used only by the family members... Geet absentmindedly dialled his number... She was waiting for him to pick up the call... As the call was picked up she was shocked to hear a gilrl's voice... and all the more shocked to what she heard...

Girl- hello, Maan Bhai, aap kaha ho??? Me kabse aapka wait kar rahi hu dinner ke liye... DJ bhi pareshaan ho rahi hai...

For a moment there was a dead silence... It was Anvesha's voice... Geet said it in her mind...

Anvesha??? Whos is she???? Ohh no, I again called at Maan's place... But she then thought, how is that possible??? I just dialled Dad's private no. So how can it connect to her... She thought hard, what was the number she dialled... She was so absent that she didn't realize what numbers she had pressed to call RH and inturn the number turned out to be Khurana's number... Never in her whole life of 24 yrs had she dialled a wrong number... Then how is this possible... How did she connect to KM... Then she heard her voice again and realized that the call was still going on... She composed herself and spoke to her...

Geet- Hello... All she heard was silence... She thought that the call got cut... she said again

Geet – Hello...

Annie- Whose this??? Where did you get this number from??? Where is Maan bhai...???? She started bombarding questions on Geet...

Geet- Anvesha...

Annie- How do you know my name??? Another question...

Geet- is that ur name???

Annie- yes, but how do u know?? And how did u get this number...??? This is the private number of the Khurana Mansion... only family members use this number...

Geet, started searching for reason- Actually... umm... I... haan... I was calling my Dad and it got connected to you...sorry that I tensed you... I don't know how it got through..maybe I have dialled some wrong digits...

Annie calmed down, but something struck her again...

Annie- thats ok...but how do you know my name???

Geet- Lucky guess...!!!! Geet said and banged her hand on her head for such a foolish answer...

Annie- My name is not that common...

Geet, remembered something and said- Ahh, you said that its KM naa... Who doesn't know the Khuranas in Mumbai... Geet heaved a sigh of relief for saying something logical...

Annie- ohh... She said and turned a bit sad...

Geet got a bit worried for her listening to her dull voice...

Geet- What happened, you sound sad and dull??? If you want you can tell me...

Annie thought for a while and said- what is the guarantee that you are not some stalker of my brother... and behind him to dig out money from him...

Geet was baffled listening to Annie's words... But that was true, as she was a stranger and such thoughts can easily come into a young girl's mind... From her voice, Geet thought that she was somehow nearly Pinky's age, maybe younger... She could hear confidence but a little fear too...

Geet- as u wish dear...if u don't want to tell then that is fine... I just thought you need some help to sought out your insecurities... but Geet wanted her to speak so she said further, " but if u want to then I m all ears to u...you can think you are talking to ur brother or sister...

Annie found some genuineness in Geet's voice...

Annie finally spoke- I m a bit nervous actually... She didn't know why she was talking to a stranger but she felt that she should tell her...

Geet- nervous... that word doesn't suit to a Khurana... She said matter of factly...

Annie- How can you be so sure...????

Geet- Looking at a man like Maan Singh Khurana, the epitome of confidence and power, no one will believe you r a Khurana...

Annie was a bit shaken... She knew that her brother was seriously like what the girl said... but she became sceptical with the way the other girl was talking...

Annie- R u sure, u r not a stalker...

Geet- common dear...every cover page of business magazine is filled with his pictures... there is always some or the other news about this man... I don't have to be a stalker for that...

Geet was talking as if she was talking to some of her old friend...

Annie, hearing the praises of her bro, was very happy... and that in itself gave her a little confidence... She felt that the girl was talking very genuinely to her...

Geet- so what is the problem...???

Annie- Actually, there is this guy named Arjun in my collage... He has been following me from the very first day of my college...

Geet stiffened listening to that...

Geet- What??? Then, y didn't you complain to any professor...???? Geet got a little angry...

Annie found it really amusing that the girl was sounding just like her bro... If she would have told him about this, then he would have gone and broken his nose in to pieces... Thats why she had kept quiet...

Annie- It's not the way you think... Actually even I didn't like the way he used to follow me everywhere...but later realised that he is a very nice guy... I like him but I m not able to express it to him... I m afraid of my Bro, not actually afraid but respect his freedom... Not that he would be against it, but I don't like lying to him... he is everything to me... She said in a very emotional way...

Geet realized that Annie was telling her the thing she couldn't even share with her brother...So she had to act very carefully... She can't let her go to a wrong direction... not that falling in love is not good, but Annie seems to be too young to fall in love... maybe she could get hurt very badly at this young age... So Geet decided to advice her in a very diplomatic manner...

Geet- for how long have you both known each other????

Annie- May be a few months, 2or 3, I guess...

Geet- And does he feel the same for you...???? I mean, I know that he follows you everywhere... but maybe there is something else that he is looking for... maybe just friendship...??

Annie thought for a while then said- Actually, you r right... I don't know it very clearly...I even don't know, what is it that I feel for him??? She said very very innocently...

Geet smiled looking at her innocence in what she said... She is so naive and not at all worried what Geet would think about her... Geet felt that she is still a child... maybe a pampered child that doesn't know the outer cruel world...

Geet- so if u r also not sure of what u feel, then take it slow dear... start with just giving simple smiles to each other... make friendship... get to know him well... get to know about his likes and dislikes... let him know you well... but while doing all this, you should start it afresh forgetting how it had started, how you felt for him... or your assumption that he likes you too... First build your friendship well, try to correct each other where you think he is wrong and also let him correct you... gain each others' trust... Friendship is the first step to love... and even if you both don't fall in love, you will have a gr8 friend for u who will always be there for you...and if he says that he loves you directly, then tell him first that you want to know him first then you will decide... tell him that u would like to start it with friendship...

Annie was listening to Geet very intenly... She felt that whatever Geet was talking is just so right... She should not hurry in such stuff... She has a lot of time to know him... She felt happy that she talked with Geet... She felt relieved that she will not upset her brother...

Geet- Hello, u there????

Annie- Thank you so much Di...

Geet got surprised for a second... She called her Di... She felt like she was talking to Pinky only... Geet actually liked it...

Annie- Can I call you Di..??? I don't know your name...

Geet- My name is Geet and yes dear, you can call me Di...

Annie- wow I found out a Di on a wrong number call...hehehe

Geet laughed too, and smiled at her innocence...

Geet- so what r you gonna tell ur bro about this call???

Annie stopped her laughter n thought- ohh, nothing... this our little secret... please take my number... I would love to be connected to you and meet my new found relation... I will also call you again for help in this matter... and also more to come...

Geet- sure dear... I would love to help my little sister... Geet chuckled at what she said...

Annie- Chalo, I need to go now... DJ is waiting for dinner... and I think Maan bhai is home too...

Geet's heart skipped a beat listening to Maan's name...

Geet- ok dear, bye...take care... n they hanged the call...
