in this serial why doesn't the queens put sindoor on their maang.Jijabhai, saibai, soira bai -al are married but no one does that.can i know the reason?

Thats because its not mandatory in Mahrashtrians to apply sindoor. Its mostly compulsory in north indians but its mandatory in Maharashtrians to wear red bindi and green glass bangles after marriage along the pearl and bead Nath (nose ring) worn on the left nostril but with time, many women dont wear the nose ring now but only on special occasions like weddings etc. Also toe rings made of silver are worn.

agree wid u, livehappy in maharashtrians n even south indians applying sindoor is not compulsory but ya de hav 2 wear bindis n silver toe rings.

Hi, am new to the forum.


really a good serial.

One more thing about we Maharashtrian married ladies - the most important thing is the Mangalsutra - that too with black beeds. These black beeds are used only after marriage. You would have seen in many other serials.
