Harry Potter Days at the Staten Island Children's Museum

Leaky's John and I will be at the Staten Island Chldren's Museum's Harry Potter celebrations tomorrow, giving out prizes and having fun; please stop by if you're around! At 1:30 we'll be conducting a Harry Potter discussion; there will be a maze on the East Meadow (in front of the museum), a championship Quidditch game, workshops to make wands and golden snitches.

Admission is $5 per person; children under one and members are admitted free, and if you show up in costume, you might get in free as well.

The Children's Museum is located at Snug Harbor Cultural Center, 1000 Richmond Terrace, just minutes away from the Clove Road exit of the Staten Island Expressway. Call for directions. Fiennes, de la Tour, Dale Theater Clips Available Online

The official website for the Tony Awards has a gallery of video clips of past and present nomineees. The clips include scenes from nominated performances and shows as well as backstage interviews. Of interest to Potter fans will be the interviews wih Jim Dale (narrator, U.S. audiobooks) and Frances de la Tour(Madame Maxime), and the clips from The History Boys (with Ms. de la Tour), The Threepenny Opera (Mr. Dale), Faith Healer with Ralph Fiennes (Voldemort) and Awake and Sing! with Zoe Wanamaker (Madam Hooch).

The Tony Awards ceremony will be broadcast on CBS this Sunday, June 11 at 8:00 p.m. (EDT) on CBS.

Alan Rickman to Star in New Film and Direct in Edinburgh

During the hiatus from Order of the Phoenix filming, Alan Rickman will be keeping busy. He is attached to star in the film The Villa Golitsyn with Kristin Scott Thomas, which begins shooting in France this summer and is slated for a 2007 release. He will also bring "My Name is Rachel Corrie," which he directed and co-wrote, to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. The play will be performed at the Pleasance Courtyard Theatre on Aug 3-13,15-20 and 22-28. Tickets for the Fringe Festival go on sale July 12.

More on Dan Radcliffe "Extras" Appearance

A few days ago there was news on actor Dan Radcliffe's upcoming appearance on the Ricky Gervais show "Extras." Today there are new reports online which give further detail about all the guest stars for this season. Dan Radcliffe (Harry Potter) is now described as playing a character on the show who is a "yob." Other stars set to appear on the comedy series that airs here on HBO include musician Chris Martin of Coldplay, rocker David Bowie, as well as actors Orlando Bloom, and Sir Ian McKellen. The series began filming this week, however no individual episode information is yet available, and we do not yet know when the episode with Dan will air. Thanks to Rose and all who emailed!

Devon and Stan Say Konichiwa

Devon Murray (Seamus Finnigan) and Stanislav Ianevski (Viktor Krum) have been touring Japan, and have sent Leaky some pictures of their visit:

In Fukushima, they visited girl's schooland
experienced a tea ceremony.
Playing the Koto, the Japanese harp-like instrument.
Talking about their filming experiences and personal story.

Visiting the hamburger shop Logkit in Sasebo, Kyushu (Southern island), where they met The BurgerMAMA-san.
Visited a famous local cookie factory in Sasebo and wore the worker's costume.
Devon & Stan on the glass top of a high bridge (43m from the sea level) in Sasebo.

Tomorrow, June 9, Devon and Stan will appear at the Hotel Monterey La Scaur, Osaka, Japan, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. They will then attend a dinner party at the same hotel. There is a fee for autographs and photos.

On June 11, Devon and Stan will make an appearance at RERA Outlet Mall in Chitose, Hokkaido from 1l:00 AM through 6:00PM.
