Rohini wants to employ a maid to look after her child and wants her father in law to cash his fixed deposit. This upsets the whole house. She insinuates that they are old, and do not need money, and in any case they are dependent on them. After the shell shocked family looks at her in surprise, she seems to both the least, what they think, and insists on her idea. Sanket wants to cut her short, but she is vehement. She says, that the monthly installments which her husband puts in his father's account could be stopped, and use this amount to pay the maid. Daksh leaves his dining table and comes to challenge Rohinhi, and she shuts him up saying that he is an outsider, and then his mother too joins her, and Naina takes him out of that place. Sanket too tells his brother that his relationship with him is over, and he need not worry about them. Rohini is anxious to allow Daksh to help, lest he take over the whole house, but Sanket does not seem to understand his wife and her schemes.
As Naina holds her husband's hand and takes him to his room, Kaka starts a running commentary, and makes fun of his house mates. He makes an announcement to the outsiders, if they want to help, they can help him, who is a poor man, and he will be ever so grateful to them. Naina tries to pacify her husband and he cools off after some time. She tells him, that quietly he could deposit the money in his parents account, and he says, he does not like to do behind any one's back.
The maid comes and her name is Kanta. She does not allow any one to do things which she does not approve. She gives them a list of what they should do and what they should not. Ayee reads the list. She does not agree oil massage, and also wants the mother to feed the baby. When Shyamal and Akruti come, she does not allow them in, and says that outsiders are not allowed, for the fear of infection. When Ayee tells her who Akruti is, and she is allowed to carry the child, but after cleaning her hands with antiseptic lotion. All this annoys the family members, but Rohini seems to relish their discomfiture. When Ayee is not allowed to give oil massage, she is sent out of the room, and she leaves in tears.
Outside, as she walks away to her room, Naina tries to stop her and when she ignores her and walks ahead, Naina loudly tells her that she will see to it, that her grand son will not be taken away from her.
Daksh is coughing and Naina goes to bring medicine, and his mother sees from the door, and comes rushing to help him and Naina watches her.

Akruti has seen Naina buying a lot of vegetables in the market, and knows that she is up to something. When she is preparing a dish for Daksh, Akruti gives her instructions on her mobile, and her father hears and passes remarks that she has started now cookery classes.
In the garden, when Naina goes to take the dried clothes, she hears Kanta talking on her mobile, that she is new to the job, and is apprehensive that her employers will find her out. Naina overhears her, and comes to her and pats on h er shoulder and gives her all sorts of misinformation about Rohini, and she believes her.
While at work, Kanta is afraid her mistress will find her out and goes out of her way to be nice to her and her husband, who are unaware of what is going on in her mind. Rohini's behavior confirms Naina's information, and the maid believes what she has heard from NaIna, who watches from the side lines.
Daksh is upset about his work, and comes home tired, and Naina prepares her the dish that gives him allergy, so that she knows that once he gets the stroke, his mother will come to his rescue, and that is why she tries this stunt to bring them together. It almost works.
Next morning, Rohini is at her mother in law complaining about her misery, caused by the anxiety the grand mother shows, and the poor lady, does not know what is happening to her, and this too from a person she has kept on a pedestal, to spite the other one, who she has convinced herself to be against her and her family. She has gone to the extent to boycott her own son and his wife.

After Naina served buttermilk, laced with green chillies, Daksh got an attack of hiccups, as he has been allergic to this substance. Naina knew about it from his cousin Akruti, and they both had hatched this plan, to get the attention of the mother of Daksh, which proved successful. It was night, and she was going to sleep but she heard the loud cough of her son, whom she has mentally disowned, but her heart can not be stopped, and instinctively, she rushes to her sonb who is in the ktichen, and as she enters, Naina, leaves the room, telling Daksh that she will bring him some sugar to relieve his stress. The mother hesitates, but she can not bear to see her son suffer and she comes to the dividing line, Naina watches from sidelines, if she will cross it. Vibha reminds herself, of the rule she has imposed on others, and then she drops a steel tumbler on the ground, which alerts Daksh, and this sudden shock of hearing the sound, snatches him from the allergic attack, and he is relieved. Naina is happy, and Vibha knowing her son has got over the attack, walks back to her bedroom. Naina comes to her husband and embraces him, and lets him know that her plan has succeeded, and she knows that his mother is not angry with him, or bears any resentment. Daksh smells foul play behind Naina's reaaction, and asks her if it was her plan to put green chillies in the butter milk, and she admits that she had to hurt him, in order to get his mother over to him. She says, that it is a price worth paying for reconciling his mother with him. He asks her, if she is only concerned with his mother and her need to accept him, or whether she has any time for him. He feels neglected by both his mother as well as his wife. Naina then tells him to go to bed, and tucks him in his big double bed, while she goes to the bed on the side and sleeps on it, in compliance with a vow she made not to have relations of intimacy with him, until such time, she does not get the blessing from his mother.
When Vibha goes to her bedroom, her husband notices a change in her, and remarks that she had gone to the room of Daksh, and he had heard that she had dropped something. He tells her, "Only you and I know, that Daksh is allergic to green chillies, and only a sudden shock, snatches him out of this attack. You did just that." He lets her know, that for all her show, she can not get over him and he goes to sleep.
Naina wakes up, and tells Daksh to get ready to go to work, and she tells him, that she has to see if the Governess, has been following up on her plans, and Daksh asks her if she is up to some mischief with her too, but she hushes him up, and both go down for breakfast. She seem Kanta, getting the breakfast ready for Rohini and her family. She comes and asks them, if the Master will have coffee or tea. Kaka seeing her anxiety to please them, says, that he would like to have tea, and with lot of sugar. She asks her Master, what he would like to have, and she is very submissive and docile, and Rohini tells her to make coffee for him, and on inquiring, she puts one spoon of sugar in his coffee. Putting the cups and biscuits on a tray, she brings them cautiously to the table, but at the last moment, in a jerk, she spills some coffee on her Master's shirt, and starts profusely apologizing to him, and then she praises the color of his shirt and Kaka shoots a barb at Rohini, saying, "See, how much care she is taking of your husband. You have never praised his shirt in the past". With a smirk on his face, he goes to read his paper, and Sanket leaves for office.
Vibha is knitting something sitting on a garden chair in the open air, in her compound, and the sunlight of the morning sun, bathes her in it. She watches Rohini coming, down the steps, and Naina is also in the garden by herself, keeping a watch over the rest of them. Her mother tells Rohini to bring the child into the sun, which is good for him, as he can have some vitamin D from the morning sun, but she tells her that her governess has given her the list, - which Naina knows is a fake - that she should shelter her son, from the sunlight, and an argument ensures between the mother and the daughter in law, which does not augur well for the mother, and she is disheartened by the reception she gets from her whom she has placed on her head, in order to spite Naina, about whom she has heard so much nagging from this crafty person, she has swallowed all her stores, without any hesitation. Now unwittingly she pays for her stupidity. Seeing that her advice will take her nowhere, the mother leaves the garden, crestfallen and dejected. Naina gets great impetus to complete her project. But in this game, will she lose her husband's affection and attention. Daksh has been trying to get to her, but each attempt of his is met with disappointment, as Naina is engrossed in her plans to get the mother over to her son.
As Daksh enters the house, he sees Naina and his mother face to face, and he does not know what to expect.

I feel like comparing the story to a divided honeycomb, where a muddle-headed queen bee rules, with all the frightened bees on her side of the honeycomb, swarming round her in obeisance, while the princess bee, with her newborn child stings the queen bee so often, the muddle head gets worse. While this happens a princess bee from a strange land who inhabits the other side of the honeycomb, with the estranged son of the Queen Bee, contemplates various strategies to bring the whole honeycomb into one fold but fails due to the obstinacy of the Queen Bee. At the end the husband of the princess bee from the strange land, gets exasperated with her shenanigans, and creates a scene and walks away leaving his wife despondent.
As the story evolves, we see Shyamal the aunt of Rohini going overboard, trying to meet the demands of the household, and in washing the clothes, mixes those of the new born child, enraging the Princess, Rohini. As her daughter notices her squirming with back pain, Shyamal pretends that all is well, but Akruti her daughter does not accept her taking everything lying down. As she goes to see the Princess, the cat of the house, Rohini she is bombarding her aunt, the mother of Akruti. The furor is over her messing up with the clothes of her child. With profuse apologies, the aunt tries to cover up but her daughter jumps to her defense, and retaliates and Rohini tells her to mind her place, and not interfere when grown ups talk. She gives her a typical answer, similar to her father, and mocks her saying that she sees, that she has really grown up. Rohini tries to tell her that she is a mother now, and the Queen Bee with her drooping face, watches the princess and her arrogance, with her inability to take control of the situation. Finally she finds a voice, and tells the princess that she should be more tactful when speaking to her aunt, and the cat turns the tables on her mother in law, and with a fake smile, asks if she can be of some help to her, and the over anxious mother in law, falls on herself, offering her service, and the job is to press her saree, as she needs it when visiting her friend.
When the muddle head Queen goes to press the saree, she sees her grand child crying and forgets about the saree, and goes to cuddle the child, and then picks him, up, as well as the saree, and goes down, and places the saree on the low table, and goes to look after her child oblivious of the job, which she offered to do. In the meantime, the Maid, Kanta comes back, and questions the Queen Bee, why she has taken the child, and the other does the same to the Maid, who tells that she went to buy diapers, and the mother feels upset at the waste of money, but the Maid, who actually is a trainee says, that she has a diploma and knows that it is better to use a diaper, and goes away, to the consternation of the muddle head.
The princess from the other side - Naina, sits non-challantly on her chair on her side and reads the newspaper loudly, for the Maid to hear. The topic of the article is the courses conducted by the university for trainees, to look after children, and granting them diplomas. Kanta, gets alerted by the article, and listens to Naina, and Naina noticing that she has caught a fly in her honey, reads louder, possibly from her own imagination, that it is good to use diapers. Then see reads, that to bond children to their mothers, it is a good idea, to wrap them up in the mother's saree, and allow the children to wet themselves in the saree, as this helps the bonding. Kanta now asks Naina if she can borrow the paper, but when she is about to cross the Line of Control without a visa, she warns her that the house rules do not permit to come over to her side. Further, this paper belongs to her side, and she can always learn from her. Kanta finding the idea good, picks the silk saree, left by the Queen Bee on tha table and wraps the child with it, and cuddles it and pats the child to sleep. At this moment, the Queen Bee arrives and watches the state of her saree, which Naina reminds her, was a gift to her daughter in law, and it is being put to a good use by the Maid, who knows what is good for the child. The Queen Bee is puzzled and looks at this 'stranger' who was once upon her time her bosom buddy.
As Naina is busy with her project of winning over the mother of her husband, he comes from behind, and Naina suddenly notices him, and turns the attention to him, but he is miffed, and goes up to his room, and Naina rushes after him. In the room, he asks her, that in her struggle to unite the family, how she could have forgotten the most important member, who is her own husband, and have left him hanging, and they have had no opportunity to spend some time to themselves, nor have a meal peacefully. He does not wait for her explanation, as he has had a bad day, and come home early, and is hurt that his wife did not notice it in all her plans to win over his mother. He tells her that it is of no use talking to her, and it is better he spends some quality time with his friends.
Naina is lost in the middle of the Clash of the Titans.

Naina was lost in the middle of the Clash of the Titans and finally resolved to set things right. Daksh gets ready the next morning and while searching for something finds a note, and it is a "Sorry" note from Naina, he reads it and crushes it in his hand, and throws it away, forgetting that he is a young lawyer who has been brought up well. When he sees more notes, around, he does the same, and now we have to conclude that he is in a bad mood, and when he turns to the mirror, he sees a long note, and it starts reading it, and a smile comes on his face, as his wife is proposing an amendment plan, to meet at the Juice Bar, and have a dinner together and her plan tickles him, and as he smiles and turns he finds his pretty wife, with ears clipped in her fingers, asking for his forgiveness, and he can not hold on to his anger any more. They agree to meet and make up, and he goes with high expectations.
The day rolls on, and Naina is wondering what to wear for the evening, and she gets in touch with Akruti, who offers her advice to wear jeans with a top, and she likes the idea. They hug over the line of control. Rohini goes to her bedroom and carries her tale to her mother and from which we are given to understand her schooling in the rat race, was done at home, under the aegis of her mother, who must be a worse rat than her daughter. When the child wakes up, she stops talking to her mother and takes up the child and calls Kanta. Vibha comes and sees the child and then Rohini tells her to take the saree and get it pressed. When she goes, the child cries and the mother picks it with the saree and goes down, and leaving the saree on the table, goes to attend the child.
What follows is filled with confusion, as Kanta hands over the child wrapped in a green saree to Vibha, who removes it and gives it to her husband to send it for dry cleaning, and Kaka mocking her of the expense which her daughter in law will find expensive, and her husband tells her to give the saree to him, and he will give it to the dry cleaner.
In the meantime, we presume, that Kanta has taken the child and Rohini is busy in her own self care, and Vibha is busy cooking the meals for the family, and our touring Naina is watching the show from the side lines. Some time, late in the day, she notices Atharva lying on a quilt, and trying to turn himself, and she is anxious that he will not fall down on the floor. She panics and comes to the Line of Control, but does not cross over. She looks around if any one is there who can attend to the child, and finding no one, then uses her telephone to call the house line of the Patwardans. The bell goes on ringing, and Naina waits for some response, but suddenly Vibha hears the bell in the kitchen, and she rushes into the room, with her hands stained with masala. She sees the child unattended, and picks him up and hugs him and is rattled that her maid has left him unattended. She calls her loudly, and Naina is waiting on her side of the territory watching them, and the mother in law, looks angrily at her. When Kanta comes down, she gives her a shout, and she says, that all this was her fault, and she sent her to pick the dry clothes from the terrace. Vibha feels offended, that now a maid, finds fault with her, and hearing the commotion, the rest of the inmates plump in, with their bit of advice. Kaka reminds her of what she has called upon herself, and the great Matron, Rohini comes in rushing. She takes the child from Vibha and sees her hands stained with masala and shouts at her, for her carelessness, and is startled by the idea of what pain her child would have to go through, if he had been stained by the masala, and the mother apologizes profusely and blames Kanta, and Kanta blames the mother. In this Rohini takes the side of Kanta and blames the mother, who quietly submits to her anger.
Naina has an idea how to bring a bickering Hindu Undivided Family together, and that is through hating one member all the others become one. So she wants them all to focus their anger on her, so she devises her plan. She takes Kanta out and when she does, Rohini follows them. Naina knows this, and plays her game on Kanta, asking her in which school she did her Child Care diploma, and Kanta knows that Naina has an idea of her deceit. Naina tells that she has managed to create a rift between Rohini and Vibha and in that she has done half her job, and now knows that she will be sacked, and so she places a wad of notes in her hand, for her services, and tells her that she deserves it, and to take it and go home, when she is asked to do so. In all this hungama, she has forgotten her promise to meet Daksh at the juice shop, where he has already come and is waiting for her.
Night has fallen, and Naina plumps on her chair on her side of the territory, and watches the drama that is going to take place on the enemy territory. Rohini question Kanta and she says, Naina is trying to entrap her. Then she comes out about how she used her saree to wrap the baby and it got soiled. Rohini becomes violent, and Vibha tries to explain to her. Vibha is being questioned by Rohini and Kanta tries to explain to them that it was not her fault. Rohini can not openly say, that she has over heard the conversation between Kanta and Naina. In the blame game, Rohini asks if she met Naina, and Naina tells her that they met twice before.
She fires her, and Kanta tries to defend herself, and finally Rohini does what Naina wanted all along. She fires Kanta, and now Atharva will be back in the grand mother's care. Naina on the other hand is completely oblivious of Daksh and what he is going through in the Juice Shop, and what steps this might have made him take.
In the precap, we find a frantic Naina ringing to Akruti to find out if Daksh is in his room, as he is no where to be found. Father of Daksh tells his wife, that Chintu is no where to be found. Naina is searching for him. Vibha is anxious.. We have to wait and see what effect it will have only in the next episode.

The scene of Rohini firing Kanta is thrust in front of the viewer, and we see the haughty Rohini, and her incredulous behavior. She tries to put the blame on Naina, who watches her from her chair, and Vibha gets impressed.
Kanta leaves, and Naina remembers her promise to Daksh and tries to call him in the restaurant, where he has grown weary of waiting for his wife and his temper has been steadily rising, to a point, when he orders an orange juice and wants to leave, after getting his bill, but in the meantime, he receives Naina's call apologizing, but he ignores her with a curt answer, and then switches his telephone off and walks from the restaurant. They had planned a pleasant evening and a dinner out, but he is hurt, even after his wife tries to explain to him, that something unusual and unexpected happened at home and she was forced to attend to the situation.
Naina rushes to the restaurant and the waiter who recognizes her and tells that her husband has left. Naina calls Akruti but finding that he is not at home, she leaves the conversation half way, and leaves Akruti worried. Her uncle asks what has happened and she tells that Daksh has not come home. The father tells his wife but she pretends that it does not concern her, and tells him to come to bed.
Sanket and Rohini are in bed, and he hears his son crying and tries to wake his wife up, but she gets annoyed at him, and tells him, that she can not manage the child, and that he should get a new Maid, in the morning. Sanket is after all a hen pecked husband, and goes to sleep after calming an agitated child.
Vibha is upset that her son has not come but does not want to show it, but she refuses to have her meals and goes to sleep, but can not get it, as she is worried at the grandchild and his crying. Her husband tells her to rest.
Daksh comes home late, and Naina rushes to meet him, while the rest watch them, and Daksh looks at his parents and is hurt that they too do not care, and goes to bed. Naina is too immature and makes decisions which affect the marital life. She has made the first mistake, of keeping her husband apart from her, trying to start their marital life only after she gets the blessing of his mother, and this is a stupid idea, which will bring heart ache to herself and her husband. The second notion she has is to get all the rest focusing their hatred towards her, with the hope that this will glue the cracked up family together. One wonders in which book she might have read about this idea, but perhaps, she too has seen the other Star Plus serial, Hamari Devrani, where Vrinda too has the same stupid idea, which has enabled them, to drag this serial for nearly three months. We do not know if it is Naina's fault or it it an idea the writer has picked from the other serial. In any case, this situation is not only frustrating the characters within the serial, but also the viewers, who hope for the day, when everything turns to normal.
The melodrama takes place, as Naina finding her husband after embracing her, has gone to sleep on an empty stomach which she realizes when she herself feels hungry and goes to the kitchen to fetch some biscuits. Vibha too has spent sleepless night, and goes down to the kitchen, and finds Naina and takes her anger on her, saying that she has not fed her son. This looks like the mother hen, who has sat on her eggs for the 21 days of incubation, and the chick is about to crack the shell and pop out. Even though the mother hen refuses to admit the filial bond that is tugging at her, she runs away from it, with a sadistic notion of her imagined grievance.
In the precap, in the garden, Rohini snatches her child from Akruti and starts to shout at her, and Vibha intervenes, and tells her that it was Sanket who brought the child down, on his way to the office, and gave him to Akruti. Rohini then starts a monologue on the love bond between the mother and her son, and Vibha gets an uncanny reminder of herself, in her taunts.

A new day dawns, and while Naina is fast asleep on her side bed, Daksh gets up, washes and looks for his clothes in the cupboard. He looks back and watches his wife sleeping. As Daksh puts his glasses, he hears his wife muttering something of a recipe in ther sleep, and not understanding what she is saying he goes for his work. Naina gets up when she hears the door closing, and looks at the clock, it is 6 in the morning. She rushes after him, and asks him why he is leaving so early without even having his breakfast, and he says that there is a hearing in the morning and he has to get the files ready. When she again asks why he does not want to have breakfast, when he has not eaten last night, he says, "It makes no difference" and his mother too is at the door listening to him. When Naina pleads with him, again and again, he tells her, "You do not have to take care of me at all. If I remain hungry for two days, I will not die." Naina rushes after him saying, "Daksh, Daksh" but he does not listen, and his mother looks worried. As Naina comes back, Vibha is still standing there in her own thoughts. Naina runs back to her room, and picks her phone. She stops and says, to herself, "In the past you were never so angry with me, Daksh. You know whay I do these things, and yet without thinking you just left from here. " She sobs and sits on her bed, and resolves not to shed tears, but remain hungry like him, until he tells her to eat.
In the kitchen, Vibha is getting the breakfast ready for her family and ponders on the words of Naina and the reply of Daksh. In the dining room, all are at the table, and getting ready, when they see Sanket coming to the table with the baby in his arms, and they ask of Rohini is, and he tells them that she is sleeping, and when they ask if she is not well, he tells them everything is fine. He tells them that she could not sleep, due to their son crying. Kaka tells him, that they too could not sleep, due to his screams. He tells him, that they had to get up in spite of it, and he uses a Hindi phrase and then to make it clear to his nephew tells him, in slow English. "It is DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE." His mother swivels her head round her neck, and with a broad smile, persuades her son, to have his breakfast. She volunteers to hold the child, and Sanket hesistates, and asks if now her health is fine, as he does not want to go against his wife's instructions. Then the professor saab finds his voice and with a finger pointing at him, explains to him, that his mother brought him up, without any one's help. He adds some information about how his mother could making a crying Chintu, quiet, and his wife looks at him, with her elongated sour face. The mother leaves them and goes, and Sanket feels bad and tries to explain to his father, and he waves his hand at him, to have patience.
We are shown a dismal Vibha walking up and down in her room, at her pitiable state. Her mind wanders and she thinks, whether her Chintu has eaten anything till now. She can not stop herself, and picks the phone and rings him, and when Daksh picks up the call, he looks at it, and says, "A call from home? Hello, Hello" and Vibha has not words and then, Daksh says, :"Naina., if you are thinking about me, do not worry, I am very busy." His mother gets a sting, and she puts the phone down.
At the dining table, the father seeing his wife not yet come down, gets up and tells Sanket that he is going to call her down, and goes up. The child starts crying and Aklruti looks up at him. She goes and takes the child, and he stops crying and Sanket is surprised and pleased as well.
Professor Saab, asks his wife, to whom she was speaking on the phone, and she gives him some excuse, and hides her own sorrow. He takes her down to the breakfast table. The father is not satisfied with her answer, so he presses the redial button, and Daksh picks the call, and tells Naina that he is busy and will speak to her later. The father is surprised. He sees the heart is melting, and is pleased but has to wait.
Daksh completes the work, and then says to himself, "Naina had called me twice, and I completely forgot." He calls Naina and tells her that she called from the land line twice, and says, what was it she wanted to say. She tells him that she did not call, and he tells her not to waste his time. Naina thinks that he is making an excuse to call her, and he gets frustrated and puts the phone down.
When the sun is half way in the sky, Madam Rohini wakes up, and looks in the cradle thinking that the child is sleeping but finds it empty. At first she panics, but then she slumps and says, "He must be with Sanket" and feels relieved. She sees the time on the alarm clock, and says, he must be in the office, and wonders where the child is. She holds her head in frustration, and says, "O God, hope he is not with Ayee !" She rushes to her mother's room and finds the child not there, and she tells that he is in the outer room.
Rohini cursing everyone in the house and calling them mad finds Uncle Sridhar, and asks him, and he makes fun of her and puts his hands in his kurta pocket, and looks for Atharva, and tells her he is not there. She curses him too, and says, why he can not tell her straight, and his wife comes and tells her that the child is with Akruti on the terrace. Naina too is on the terrace and both she and Akruti talk about children, how they are sweet when they are kids and become morose when they are grown up Then the hear Rohini shouting saying "Akruti !" and she snatches the child from her hand and says to her, "How did you dare to bring the child on the terrace?" and Akruti stammers, "He.." Rohini does not wait to listen, and she lectures Akruti, "You should know that without asking me, you can not take my child." Vibha too arrives on the scene, She tells Rohini that it was Sanket who gave the child to Akruti, and since he was so quiet with her, she too did not object. Rohini then tells her mother, how a mother feels when her child is missing from her, (as if Vibha needs a lesson !) She tells her, "It is time to give his feed, I am leaving now" and she goes away. Suddenly Vibha gets over effusive and caresses Akruti, and when she leaves, the mother looks with a disgusting look at Naina. It is a matter for a psychiatrist to find out what causes this dichotomy in the mind of this woman. Perhaps the CVs know better. When Vibha leaves, the writer puts words in the mouth of Naina, which come not from the experience of this newly married girl, but from the writer's personal experience.
Downstairs, Rohini is grumbling that they should have woken her up, and then Vibha comes and scolds her for being rude to Akruti, and she tells the mother, that at least she should have know how a mother would feel, if she lost her child. Then she goes to Kaka and asks for the newspaper which he is reading and he wants to know why she wants it She tells him, that she has put an ad for an Ayaah, He tells her to wait till he finishes the paper.
Rohini goes to her bedroom in a huff, and the child cries and troubles her. Just then she gets a call from Sanket and tells him, that she will speak to him later. Daksh is in his office and gets Naina's call and he asks her why she is calling him repeatedly. He tells him, that she has an idea. He gets angry at her, and tells her, that instead of bothering about others, she should take more care of preserving the delicate relationship that is fraying between them.
In the precap, Rohini is firing at her Kaka, and both exchange some violent words at each other, and when he asks what right she has on the newspaper, whether it is named Rohini Samachar, or Sanket Times, and she says, that they pay for it, so no one should touch the paper before they have finished using it. The whole family, beginning with the Ayee is astounded at the words of this woman, whom she has kept as her crown on her head, or whether she has been kept as a footstool under the feet of the new Patwardan Queen.

Rohini is on the phone with a contact asking for a Maid and sees the child sleeping and picks him up and goes down to see the advertisement she has placed on the newspaper.
In his chair, Kaka Sridhar is reading the paper, and Rohini with the child in her arms, arrogantly asks for the paper and the Kaka ignores her. She becomes more vehement, and then a torrent of words escape the lips of the two combatants, and as the pitch rises in a crescendo, the rest of the family look at the two with gaping mouths. Naina coolly, watches from her side of the Line of Control, the developing melodrama. As Rohini tries to get the paper, Kaka drops the paper and his cup of tea on it, and Rohini gets violent. The tame crowd tries to calm her, but she expects them to control the Kaka, whom they treat with a deference which irritates Rohini. Naina comes to the conclusion that this is the best and weakest link in their tenuous confinement in their own man made prison. As Rohini insults her uncle, he walks off and his wife tries to apologize and he pounces on her. The family goes up. So too goes Rohini to complain to her husband.
When Vibha's husband tells her that Rohini should not have spden like that to his brother, Rohini comes to defend herself, and points that it was his fault for having given him such a long rope and recounts all the incidents which she has been nursing in her chest. Vibha tries to side with Rohini and he shuts her up. Vibha goes and picks the newspaper and tries to make it readable for her daughter in law.
Out in the garden, Kaka is trying to get some loan, and Naina is watching him, and thinks of hitting the hot iron, and picks her phone and speaks to someone, regarding some vacancies, and then she tells Kaka that she needs some staff. He wants her to employ Akruti, but she says it is a small job of a peon. He leaves her to see his daughter.
Later there is a big row in the living room where Akruti comes calling for Naina very angrily, and all the crowd from her side of the Line of Control, huddle together to listen to what the problem is. Akruti yells at Naina and feels insulted that she offers her the job of a peon. Her father sides Naina and tells his daughter that he wants her to work for Naina, as this way he does not have to hear taunts for a two bucks newspaper. Naina tells her friend that her ego is hurt. If it was her, she would not have bothered what job it was, as long as she got some money to float around. Naina pointedly tells her, that by staying on her side of the Line of Control, all she has to hear are taunts and bear humiliation. All she needs to do is cross the line and come to her side. Kaka agrees, while the others feel unhappy that Ayee's tower is shaking at the foundations. Kaka urges his daughter to cross over, and Naina says, she waits for her response. As Akruti raises her step over the white line of partition, the Imperial Diktat is about to be violated, with unexpected developments for the future, with a united House.

Rohini wants to employ a maid to look after her child and wants her father in law to cash his fixed deposit. This upsets the whole house. She insinuates that they are old, and do not need money, and in any case they are dependent on them. After the shell shocked family looks at her in surprise, she seems to both the least, what they think, and insists on her idea. Sanket wants to cut her short, but she is vehement. She says, that the monthly installments which her husband puts in his father's account could be stopped, and use this amount to pay the maid. Daksh leaves his dining table and comes to challenge Rohinhi, and she shuts him up saying that he is an outsider, and then his mother too joins her, and Naina takes him out of that place. Sanket too tells his brother that his relationship with him is over, and he need not worry about them. Rohini is anxious to allow Daksh to help, lest he take over the whole house, but Sanket does not seem to understand his wife and her schemes.
As Naina holds her husband's hand and takes him to his room, Kaka starts a running commentary, and makes fun of his house mates. He makes an announcement to the outsiders, if they want to help, they can help him, who is a poor man, and he will be ever so grateful to them. Naina tries to pacify her husband and he cools off after some time. She tells him, that quietly he could deposit the money in his parents account, and he says, he does not like to do behind any one's back.
The maid comes and her name is Kanta. She does not allow any one to do things which she does not approve. She gives them a list of what they should do and what they should not. Ayee reads the list. She does not agree oil massage, and also wants the mother to feed the baby. When Shyamal and Akruti come, she does not allow them in, and says that outsiders are not allowed, for the fear of infection. When Ayee tells her who Akruti is, and she is allowed to carry the child, but after cleaning her hands with antiseptic lotion. All this annoys the family members, but Rohini seems to relish their discomfiture. When Ayee is not allowed to give oil massage, she is sent out of the room, and she leaves in tears.
Outside, as she walks away to her room, Naina tries to stop her and when she ignores her and walks ahead, Naina loudly tells her that she will see to it, that her grand son will not be taken away from her.
Daksh is coughing and Naina goes to bring medicine, and his mother sees from the door, and comes rushing to help him and Naina watches her.

Akruti has seen Naina buying a lot of vegetables in the market, and knows that she is up to something. When she is preparing a dish for Daksh, Akruti gives her instructions on her mobile, and her father hears and passes remarks that she has started now cookery classes.
In the garden, when Naina goes to take the dried clothes, she hears Kanta talking on her mobile, that she is new to the job, and is apprehensive that her employers will find her out. Naina overhears her, and comes to her and pats on h er shoulder and gives her all sorts of misinformation about Rohini, and she believes her.
While at work, Kanta is afraid her mistress will find her out and goes out of her way to be nice to her and her husband, who are unaware of what is going on in her mind. Rohini's behavior confirms Naina's information, and the maid believes what she has heard from NaIna, who watches from the side lines.
Daksh is upset about his work, and comes home tired, and Naina prepares her the dish that gives him allergy, so that she knows that once he gets the stroke, his mother will come to his rescue, and that is why she tries this stunt to bring them together. It almost works.
Next morning, Rohini is at her mother in law complaining about her misery, caused by the anxiety the grand mother shows, and the poor lady, does not know what is happening to her, and this too from a person she has kept on a pedestal, to spite the other one, who she has convinced herself to be against her and her family. She has gone to the extent to boycott her own son and his wife.

After Naina served buttermilk, laced with green chillies, Daksh got an attack of hiccups, as he has been allergic to this substance. Naina knew about it from his cousin Akruti, and they both had hatched this plan, to get the attention of the mother of Daksh, which proved successful. It was night, and she was going to sleep but she heard the loud cough of her son, whom she has mentally disowned, but her heart can not be stopped, and instinctively, she rushes to her sonb who is in the ktichen, and as she enters, Naina, leaves the room, telling Daksh that she will bring him some sugar to relieve his stress. The mother hesitates, but she can not bear to see her son suffer and she comes to the dividing line, Naina watches from sidelines, if she will cross it. Vibha reminds herself, of the rule she has imposed on others, and then she drops a steel tumbler on the ground, which alerts Daksh, and this sudden shock of hearing the sound, snatches him from the allergic attack, and he is relieved. Naina is happy, and Vibha knowing her son has got over the attack, walks back to her bedroom. Naina comes to her husband and embraces him, and lets him know that her plan has succeeded, and she knows that his mother is not angry with him, or bears any resentment. Daksh smells foul play behind Naina's reaaction, and asks her if it was her plan to put green chillies in the butter milk, and she admits that she had to hurt him, in order to get his mother over to him. She says, that it is a price worth paying for reconciling his mother with him. He asks her, if she is only concerned with his mother and her need to accept him, or whether she has any time for him. He feels neglected by both his mother as well as his wife. Naina then tells him to go to bed, and tucks him in his big double bed, while she goes to the bed on the side and sleeps on it, in compliance with a vow she made not to have relations of intimacy with him, until such time, she does not get the blessing from his mother.
When Vibha goes to her bedroom, her husband notices a change in her, and remarks that she had gone to the room of Daksh, and he had heard that she had dropped something. He tells her, "Only you and I know, that Daksh is allergic to green chillies, and only a sudden shock, snatches him out of this attack. You did just that." He lets her know, that for all her show, she can not get over him and he goes to sleep.
Naina wakes up, and tells Daksh to get ready to go to work, and she tells him, that she has to see if the Governess, has been following up on her plans, and Daksh asks her if she is up to some mischief with her too, but she hushes him up, and both go down for breakfast. She seem Kanta, getting the breakfast ready for Rohini and her family. She comes and asks them, if the Master will have coffee or tea. Kaka seeing her anxiety to please them, says, that he would like to have tea, and with lot of sugar. She asks her Master, what he would like to have, and she is very submissive and docile, and Rohini tells her to make coffee for him, and on inquiring, she puts one spoon of sugar in his coffee. Putting the cups and biscuits on a tray, she brings them cautiously to the table, but at the last moment, in a jerk, she spills some coffee on her Master's shirt, and starts profusely apologizing to him, and then she praises the color of his shirt and Kaka shoots a barb at Rohini, saying, "See, how much care she is taking of your husband. You have never praised his shirt in the past". With a smirk on his face, he goes to read his paper, and Sanket leaves for office.
Vibha is knitting something sitting on a garden chair in the open air, in her compound, and the sunlight of the morning sun, bathes her in it. She watches Rohini coming, down the steps, and Naina is also in the garden by herself, keeping a watch over the rest of them. Her mother tells Rohini to bring the child into the sun, which is good for him, as he can have some vitamin D from the morning sun, but she tells her that her governess has given her the list, - which Naina knows is a fake - that she should shelter her son, from the sunlight, and an argument ensures between the mother and the daughter in law, which does not augur well for the mother, and she is disheartened by the reception she gets from her whom she has placed on her head, in order to spite Naina, about whom she has heard so much nagging from this crafty person, she has swallowed all her stores, without any hesitation. Now unwittingly she pays for her stupidity. Seeing that her advice will take her nowhere, the mother leaves the garden, crestfallen and dejected. Naina gets great impetus to complete her project. But in this game, will she lose her husband's affection and attention. Daksh has been trying to get to her, but each attempt of his is met with disappointment, as Naina is engrossed in her plans to get the mother over to her son.
As Daksh enters the house, he sees Naina and his mother face to face, and he does not know what to expect.

I feel like comparing the story to a divided honeycomb, where a muddle-headed queen bee rules, with all the frightened bees on her side of the honeycomb, swarming round her in obeisance, while the princess bee, with her newborn child stings the queen bee so often, the muddle head gets worse. While this happens a princess bee from a strange land who inhabits the other side of the honeycomb, with the estranged son of the Queen Bee, contemplates various strategies to bring the whole honeycomb into one fold but fails due to the obstinacy of the Queen Bee. At the end the husband of the princess bee from the strange land, gets exasperated with her shenanigans, and creates a scene and walks away leaving his wife despondent.
As the story evolves, we see Shyamal the aunt of Rohini going overboard, trying to meet the demands of the household, and in washing the clothes, mixes those of the new born child, enraging the Princess, Rohini. As her daughter notices her squirming with back pain, Shyamal pretends that all is well, but Akruti her daughter does not accept her taking everything lying down. As she goes to see the Princess, the cat of the house, Rohini she is bombarding her aunt, the mother of Akruti. The furor is over her messing up with the clothes of her child. With profuse apologies, the aunt tries to cover up but her daughter jumps to her defense, and retaliates and Rohini tells her to mind her place, and not interfere when grown ups talk. She gives her a typical answer, similar to her father, and mocks her saying that she sees, that she has really grown up. Rohini tries to tell her that she is a mother now, and the Queen Bee with her drooping face, watches the princess and her arrogance, with her inability to take control of the situation. Finally she finds a voice, and tells the princess that she should be more tactful when speaking to her aunt, and the cat turns the tables on her mother in law, and with a fake smile, asks if she can be of some help to her, and the over anxious mother in law, falls on herself, offering her service, and the job is to press her saree, as she needs it when visiting her friend.
When the muddle head Queen goes to press the saree, she sees her grand child crying and forgets about the saree, and goes to cuddle the child, and then picks him, up, as well as the saree, and goes down, and places the saree on the low table, and goes to look after her child oblivious of the job, which she offered to do. In the meantime, the Maid, Kanta comes back, and questions the Queen Bee, why she has taken the child, and the other does the same to the Maid, who tells that she went to buy diapers, and the mother feels upset at the waste of money, but the Maid, who actually is a trainee says, that she has a diploma and knows that it is better to use a diaper, and goes away, to the consternation of the muddle head.
The princess from the other side - Naina, sits non-challantly on her chair on her side and reads the newspaper loudly, for the Maid to hear. The topic of the article is the courses conducted by the university for trainees, to look after children, and granting them diplomas. Kanta, gets alerted by the article, and listens to Naina, and Naina noticing that she has caught a fly in her honey, reads louder, possibly from her own imagination, that it is good to use diapers. Then see reads, that to bond children to their mothers, it is a good idea, to wrap them up in the mother's saree, and allow the children to wet themselves in the saree, as this helps the bonding. Kanta now asks Naina if she can borrow the paper, but when she is about to cross the Line of Control without a visa, she warns her that the house rules do not permit to come over to her side. Further, this paper belongs to her side, and she can always learn from her. Kanta finding the idea good, picks the silk saree, left by the Queen Bee on tha table and wraps the child with it, and cuddles it and pats the child to sleep. At this moment, the Queen Bee arrives and watches the state of her saree, which Naina reminds her, was a gift to her daughter in law, and it is being put to a good use by the Maid, who knows what is good for the child. The Queen Bee is puzzled and looks at this 'stranger' who was once upon her time her bosom buddy.
As Naina is busy with her project of winning over the mother of her husband, he comes from behind, and Naina suddenly notices him, and turns the attention to him, but he is miffed, and goes up to his room, and Naina rushes after him. In the room, he asks her, that in her struggle to unite the family, how she could have forgotten the most important member, who is her own husband, and have left him hanging, and they have had no opportunity to spend some time to themselves, nor have a meal peacefully. He does not wait for her explanation, as he has had a bad day, and come home early, and is hurt that his wife did not notice it in all her plans to win over his mother. He tells her that it is of no use talking to her, and it is better he spends some quality time with his friends.
Naina is lost in the middle of the Clash of the Titans.

Naina was lost in the middle of the Clash of the Titans and finally resolved to set things right. Daksh gets ready the next morning and while searching for something finds a note, and it is a "Sorry" note from Naina, he reads it and crushes it in his hand, and throws it away, forgetting that he is a young lawyer who has been brought up well. When he sees more notes, around, he does the same, and now we have to conclude that he is in a bad mood, and when he turns to the mirror, he sees a long note, and it starts reading it, and a smile comes on his face, as his wife is proposing an amendment plan, to meet at the Juice Bar, and have a dinner together and her plan tickles him, and as he smiles and turns he finds his pretty wife, with ears clipped in her fingers, asking for his forgiveness, and he can not hold on to his anger any more. They agree to meet and make up, and he goes with high expectations.
The day rolls on, and Naina is wondering what to wear for the evening, and she gets in touch with Akruti, who offers her advice to wear jeans with a top, and she likes the idea. They hug over the line of control. Rohini goes to her bedroom and carries her tale to her mother and from which we are given to understand her schooling in the rat race, was done at home, under the aegis of her mother, who must be a worse rat than her daughter. When the child wakes up, she stops talking to her mother and takes up the child and calls Kanta. Vibha comes and sees the child and then Rohini tells her to take the saree and get it pressed. When she goes, the child cries and the mother picks it with the saree and goes down, and leaving the saree on the table, goes to attend the child.
What follows is filled with confusion, as Kanta hands over the child wrapped in a green saree to Vibha, who removes it and gives it to her husband to send it for dry cleaning, and Kaka mocking her of the expense which her daughter in law will find expensive, and her husband tells her to give the saree to him, and he will give it to the dry cleaner.
In the meantime, we presume, that Kanta has taken the child and Rohini is busy in her own self care, and Vibha is busy cooking the meals for the family, and our touring Naina is watching the show from the side lines. Some time, late in the day, she notices Atharva lying on a quilt, and trying to turn himself, and she is anxious that he will not fall down on the floor. She panics and comes to the Line of Control, but does not cross over. She looks around if any one is there who can attend to the child, and finding no one, then uses her telephone to call the house line of the Patwardans. The bell goes on ringing, and Naina waits for some response, but suddenly Vibha hears the bell in the kitchen, and she rushes into the room, with her hands stained with masala. She sees the child unattended, and picks him up and hugs him and is rattled that her maid has left him unattended. She calls her loudly, and Naina is waiting on her side of the territory watching them, and the mother in law, looks angrily at her. When Kanta comes down, she gives her a shout, and she says, that all this was her fault, and she sent her to pick the dry clothes from the terrace. Vibha feels offended, that now a maid, finds fault with her, and hearing the commotion, the rest of the inmates plump in, with their bit of advice. Kaka reminds her of what she has called upon herself, and the great Matron, Rohini comes in rushing. She takes the child from Vibha and sees her hands stained with masala and shouts at her, for her carelessness, and is startled by the idea of what pain her child would have to go through, if he had been stained by the masala, and the mother apologizes profusely and blames Kanta, and Kanta blames the mother. In this Rohini takes the side of Kanta and blames the mother, who quietly submits to her anger.
Naina has an idea how to bring a bickering Hindu Undivided Family together, and that is through hating one member all the others become one. So she wants them all to focus their anger on her, so she devises her plan. She takes Kanta out and when she does, Rohini follows them. Naina knows this, and plays her game on Kanta, asking her in which school she did her Child Care diploma, and Kanta knows that Naina has an idea of her deceit. Naina tells that she has managed to create a rift between Rohini and Vibha and in that she has done half her job, and now knows that she will be sacked, and so she places a wad of notes in her hand, for her services, and tells her that she deserves it, and to take it and go home, when she is asked to do so. In all this hungama, she has forgotten her promise to meet Daksh at the juice shop, where he has already come and is waiting for her.
Night has fallen, and Naina plumps on her chair on her side of the territory, and watches the drama that is going to take place on the enemy territory. Rohini question Kanta and she says, Naina is trying to entrap her. Then she comes out about how she used her saree to wrap the baby and it got soiled. Rohini becomes violent, and Vibha tries to explain to her. Vibha is being questioned by Rohini and Kanta tries to explain to them that it was not her fault. Rohini can not openly say, that she has over heard the conversation between Kanta and Naina. In the blame game, Rohini asks if she met Naina, and Naina tells her that they met twice before.
She fires her, and Kanta tries to defend herself, and finally Rohini does what Naina wanted all along. She fires Kanta, and now Atharva will be back in the grand mother's care. Naina on the other hand is completely oblivious of Daksh and what he is going through in the Juice Shop, and what steps this might have made him take.
In the precap, we find a frantic Naina ringing to Akruti to find out if Daksh is in his room, as he is no where to be found. Father of Daksh tells his wife, that Chintu is no where to be found. Naina is searching for him. Vibha is anxious.. We have to wait and see what effect it will have only in the next episode.

The scene of Rohini firing Kanta is thrust in front of the viewer, and we see the haughty Rohini, and her incredulous behavior. She tries to put the blame on Naina, who watches her from her chair, and Vibha gets impressed.
Kanta leaves, and Naina remembers her promise to Daksh and tries to call him in the restaurant, where he has grown weary of waiting for his wife and his temper has been steadily rising, to a point, when he orders an orange juice and wants to leave, after getting his bill, but in the meantime, he receives Naina's call apologizing, but he ignores her with a curt answer, and then switches his telephone off and walks from the restaurant. They had planned a pleasant evening and a dinner out, but he is hurt, even after his wife tries to explain to him, that something unusual and unexpected happened at home and she was forced to attend to the situation.
Naina rushes to the restaurant and the waiter who recognizes her and tells that her husband has left. Naina calls Akruti but finding that he is not at home, she leaves the conversation half way, and leaves Akruti worried. Her uncle asks what has happened and she tells that Daksh has not come home. The father tells his wife but she pretends that it does not concern her, and tells him to come to bed.
Sanket and Rohini are in bed, and he hears his son crying and tries to wake his wife up, but she gets annoyed at him, and tells him, that she can not manage the child, and that he should get a new Maid, in the morning. Sanket is after all a hen pecked husband, and goes to sleep after calming an agitated child.
Vibha is upset that her son has not come but does not want to show it, but she refuses to have her meals and goes to sleep, but can not get it, as she is worried at the grandchild and his crying. Her husband tells her to rest.
Daksh comes home late, and Naina rushes to meet him, while the rest watch them, and Daksh looks at his parents and is hurt that they too do not care, and goes to bed. Naina is too immature and makes decisions which affect the marital life. She has made the first mistake, of keeping her husband apart from her, trying to start their marital life only after she gets the blessing of his mother, and this is a stupid idea, which will bring heart ache to herself and her husband. The second notion she has is to get all the rest focusing their hatred towards her, with the hope that this will glue the cracked up family together. One wonders in which book she might have read about this idea, but perhaps, she too has seen the other Star Plus serial, Hamari Devrani, where Vrinda too has the same stupid idea, which has enabled them, to drag this serial for nearly three months. We do not know if it is Naina's fault or it it an idea the writer has picked from the other serial. In any case, this situation is not only frustrating the characters within the serial, but also the viewers, who hope for the day, when everything turns to normal.
The melodrama takes place, as Naina finding her husband after embracing her, has gone to sleep on an empty stomach which she realizes when she herself feels hungry and goes to the kitchen to fetch some biscuits. Vibha too has spent sleepless night, and goes down to the kitchen, and finds Naina and takes her anger on her, saying that she has not fed her son. This looks like the mother hen, who has sat on her eggs for the 21 days of incubation, and the chick is about to crack the shell and pop out. Even though the mother hen refuses to admit the filial bond that is tugging at her, she runs away from it, with a sadistic notion of her imagined grievance.
In the precap, in the garden, Rohini snatches her child from Akruti and starts to shout at her, and Vibha intervenes, and tells her that it was Sanket who brought the child down, on his way to the office, and gave him to Akruti. Rohini then starts a monologue on the love bond between the mother and her son, and Vibha gets an uncanny reminder of herself, in her taunts.

A new day dawns, and while Naina is fast asleep on her side bed, Daksh gets up, washes and looks for his clothes in the cupboard. He looks back and watches his wife sleeping. As Daksh puts his glasses, he hears his wife muttering something of a recipe in ther sleep, and not understanding what she is saying he goes for his work. Naina gets up when she hears the door closing, and looks at the clock, it is 6 in the morning. She rushes after him, and asks him why he is leaving so early without even having his breakfast, and he says that there is a hearing in the morning and he has to get the files ready. When she again asks why he does not want to have breakfast, when he has not eaten last night, he says, "It makes no difference" and his mother too is at the door listening to him. When Naina pleads with him, again and again, he tells her, "You do not have to take care of me at all. If I remain hungry for two days, I will not die." Naina rushes after him saying, "Daksh, Daksh" but he does not listen, and his mother looks worried. As Naina comes back, Vibha is still standing there in her own thoughts. Naina runs back to her room, and picks her phone. She stops and says, to herself, "In the past you were never so angry with me, Daksh. You know whay I do these things, and yet without thinking you just left from here. " She sobs and sits on her bed, and resolves not to shed tears, but remain hungry like him, until he tells her to eat.
In the kitchen, Vibha is getting the breakfast ready for her family and ponders on the words of Naina and the reply of Daksh. In the dining room, all are at the table, and getting ready, when they see Sanket coming to the table with the baby in his arms, and they ask of Rohini is, and he tells them that she is sleeping, and when they ask if she is not well, he tells them everything is fine. He tells them that she could not sleep, due to their son crying. Kaka tells him, that they too could not sleep, due to his screams. He tells him, that they had to get up in spite of it, and he uses a Hindi phrase and then to make it clear to his nephew tells him, in slow English. "It is DISCIPLINE, DISCIPLINE." His mother swivels her head round her neck, and with a broad smile, persuades her son, to have his breakfast. She volunteers to hold the child, and Sanket hesistates, and asks if now her health is fine, as he does not want to go against his wife's instructions. Then the professor saab finds his voice and with a finger pointing at him, explains to him, that his mother brought him up, without any one's help. He adds some information about how his mother could making a crying Chintu, quiet, and his wife looks at him, with her elongated sour face. The mother leaves them and goes, and Sanket feels bad and tries to explain to his father, and he waves his hand at him, to have patience.
We are shown a dismal Vibha walking up and down in her room, at her pitiable state. Her mind wanders and she thinks, whether her Chintu has eaten anything till now. She can not stop herself, and picks the phone and rings him, and when Daksh picks up the call, he looks at it, and says, "A call from home? Hello, Hello" and Vibha has not words and then, Daksh says, :"Naina., if you are thinking about me, do not worry, I am very busy." His mother gets a sting, and she puts the phone down.
At the dining table, the father seeing his wife not yet come down, gets up and tells Sanket that he is going to call her down, and goes up. The child starts crying and Aklruti looks up at him. She goes and takes the child, and he stops crying and Sanket is surprised and pleased as well.
Professor Saab, asks his wife, to whom she was speaking on the phone, and she gives him some excuse, and hides her own sorrow. He takes her down to the breakfast table. The father is not satisfied with her answer, so he presses the redial button, and Daksh picks the call, and tells Naina that he is busy and will speak to her later. The father is surprised. He sees the heart is melting, and is pleased but has to wait.
Daksh completes the work, and then says to himself, "Naina had called me twice, and I completely forgot." He calls Naina and tells her that she called from the land line twice, and says, what was it she wanted to say. She tells him that she did not call, and he tells her not to waste his time. Naina thinks that he is making an excuse to call her, and he gets frustrated and puts the phone down.
When the sun is half way in the sky, Madam Rohini wakes up, and looks in the cradle thinking that the child is sleeping but finds it empty. At first she panics, but then she slumps and says, "He must be with Sanket" and feels relieved. She sees the time on the alarm clock, and says, he must be in the office, and wonders where the child is. She holds her head in frustration, and says, "O God, hope he is not with Ayee !" She rushes to her mother's room and finds the child not there, and she tells that he is in the outer room.
Rohini cursing everyone in the house and calling them mad finds Uncle Sridhar, and asks him, and he makes fun of her and puts his hands in his kurta pocket, and looks for Atharva, and tells her he is not there. She curses him too, and says, why he can not tell her straight, and his wife comes and tells her that the child is with Akruti on the terrace. Naina too is on the terrace and both she and Akruti talk about children, how they are sweet when they are kids and become morose when they are grown up Then the hear Rohini shouting saying "Akruti !" and she snatches the child from her hand and says to her, "How did you dare to bring the child on the terrace?" and Akruti stammers, "He.." Rohini does not wait to listen, and she lectures Akruti, "You should know that without asking me, you can not take my child." Vibha too arrives on the scene, She tells Rohini that it was Sanket who gave the child to Akruti, and since he was so quiet with her, she too did not object. Rohini then tells her mother, how a mother feels when her child is missing from her, (as if Vibha needs a lesson !) She tells her, "It is time to give his feed, I am leaving now" and she goes away. Suddenly Vibha gets over effusive and caresses Akruti, and when she leaves, the mother looks with a disgusting look at Naina. It is a matter for a psychiatrist to find out what causes this dichotomy in the mind of this woman. Perhaps the CVs know better. When Vibha leaves, the writer puts words in the mouth of Naina, which come not from the experience of this newly married girl, but from the writer's personal experience.
Downstairs, Rohini is grumbling that they should have woken her up, and then Vibha comes and scolds her for being rude to Akruti, and she tells the mother, that at least she should have know how a mother would feel, if she lost her child. Then she goes to Kaka and asks for the newspaper which he is reading and he wants to know why she wants it She tells him, that she has put an ad for an Ayaah, He tells her to wait till he finishes the paper.
Rohini goes to her bedroom in a huff, and the child cries and troubles her. Just then she gets a call from Sanket and tells him, that she will speak to him later. Daksh is in his office and gets Naina's call and he asks her why she is calling him repeatedly. He tells him, that she has an idea. He gets angry at her, and tells her, that instead of bothering about others, she should take more care of preserving the delicate relationship that is fraying between them.
In the precap, Rohini is firing at her Kaka, and both exchange some violent words at each other, and when he asks what right she has on the newspaper, whether it is named Rohini Samachar, or Sanket Times, and she says, that they pay for it, so no one should touch the paper before they have finished using it. The whole family, beginning with the Ayee is astounded at the words of this woman, whom she has kept as her crown on her head, or whether she has been kept as a footstool under the feet of the new Patwardan Queen.

Rohini is on the phone with a contact asking for a Maid and sees the child sleeping and picks him up and goes down to see the advertisement she has placed on the newspaper.
In his chair, Kaka Sridhar is reading the paper, and Rohini with the child in her arms, arrogantly asks for the paper and the Kaka ignores her. She becomes more vehement, and then a torrent of words escape the lips of the two combatants, and as the pitch rises in a crescendo, the rest of the family look at the two with gaping mouths. Naina coolly, watches from her side of the Line of Control, the developing melodrama. As Rohini tries to get the paper, Kaka drops the paper and his cup of tea on it, and Rohini gets violent. The tame crowd tries to calm her, but she expects them to control the Kaka, whom they treat with a deference which irritates Rohini. Naina comes to the conclusion that this is the best and weakest link in their tenuous confinement in their own man made prison. As Rohini insults her uncle, he walks off and his wife tries to apologize and he pounces on her. The family goes up. So too goes Rohini to complain to her husband.
When Vibha's husband tells her that Rohini should not have spden like that to his brother, Rohini comes to defend herself, and points that it was his fault for having given him such a long rope and recounts all the incidents which she has been nursing in her chest. Vibha tries to side with Rohini and he shuts her up. Vibha goes and picks the newspaper and tries to make it readable for her daughter in law.
Out in the garden, Kaka is trying to get some loan, and Naina is watching him, and thinks of hitting the hot iron, and picks her phone and speaks to someone, regarding some vacancies, and then she tells Kaka that she needs some staff. He wants her to employ Akruti, but she says it is a small job of a peon. He leaves her to see his daughter.
Later there is a big row in the living room where Akruti comes calling for Naina very angrily, and all the crowd from her side of the Line of Control, huddle together to listen to what the problem is. Akruti yells at Naina and feels insulted that she offers her the job of a peon. Her father sides Naina and tells his daughter that he wants her to work for Naina, as this way he does not have to hear taunts for a two bucks newspaper. Naina tells her friend that her ego is hurt. If it was her, she would not have bothered what job it was, as long as she got some money to float around. Naina pointedly tells her, that by staying on her side of the Line of Control, all she has to hear are taunts and bear humiliation. All she needs to do is cross the line and come to her side. Kaka agrees, while the others feel unhappy that Ayee's tower is shaking at the foundations. Kaka urges his daughter to cross over, and Naina says, she waits for her response. As Akruti raises her step over the white line of partition, the Imperial Diktat is about to be violated, with unexpected developments for the future, with a united House.
