ZEE TV is making some major changes in July. The broadcaster will be screening majority of its soaps on a daily basis oppose to the current Mon-Thu time band format.
The serials that will fall under this initiative at prime time are the popular Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka, Tumhari Disha, Piya Ka Ghar, Reth, Sarrkkar – Rishton Ki Ankahi Kahani and the soon to be launched Paalkhi. This change will also result in a few schedule move arounds. Astitva Ek Prem Kahani and Kareena Kareena will remain as they are.
According to a press release, the channel is going by this new strategy to consolidate its position as market leader in the UK. Commenting on this, Abhijeet Saxena, Business Head, ZEE TV, said, "The decision to extend the serials across five-day a week was based on popular viewer feedback. We continuously strive to provide our viewers with maximum entertainment and the best way to take this forward is to extend our offerings through the week. We are optimistic that this move will help us consolidate and strengthen our current position."
A full schedule with the changes will be revealed in the next few days but do expect quite a different feel to the channel come July!
