As Kaka Sridhar comes down, feeling that he is the first to come down before others, he sees the partition line covered with flowers, and then sees Naina at work. He calls his sister in law, and draws her attention to the decoration, and she with a sullen face, notices that this was done by Naina. She asks her family to get ready, but in the meanwhile two guests arrive and Naina calls them over to her side, to seat them on the sofa, and they cross the flowers by raising their feet, so that they do not disturb the flower arrangement. Vibha asks her sister in law to pay attention to her guests, receives her abject surrender of her ego to help her out. When more guests arrive they notice the difference in the decoration in the two sides, and the blame is put on Vedant. One lady asks Vibha to introduce her to her new daughter in law, but she is tongue tied, and Naina saves the day, by coming forward and wishing her. Some other guests remark, that Vibha has been hurt by h er son, for getting married without her consent, but they being young can not understand the attitude of the parents. When the giving of the gifts starts, Shyamal is the first to give her gift, and Rohini looks at it and makes a sarcastic remark, about her ability to buy a decent gift, and she says, it was made by hand and that she does not want to use it, as it might cause allergy. But Kaki says, that it is cotton and soothing. Kaka gets offended, and Vedant asks his mother why she did not give her an answer. He too is itching to retaliate.
Naina is watching from her side, with a grin on her face trying to show that she too is a part of the celebration. As the grand mother gets all of them down for the puja, the pandit arrives and the ceremony starts. When the name has to be decided Ayee suggests the name "Atharva" and Sanket agrees whole heartedly. Rohini too reluctantly agrees. A friend of hers remarks that it is old fashioned. Like a name of a sage or muni, and Rohini changes her mind. The father proposes taking a lucky dip. All of them write their own choices, starting with the word A. When all have written, Vedant takes the bowl, and then goes to the kitchen, and Naina is waiting for him, and sends him to bring some sweets, and his attention is diverted, and in the meantime, Naina changes the bowl, with the one she has prepared. Ayee comes in and notices Vedant with Naina, and she sends him away and he takes the bowl and goes to the room.
The lucky dip is being taken, and Naina tells Daksh top hurry up. He too comes and stands with Naina, as the others choose the name. Rohini and Sanket pick the name, and it is "Atharva" and she hesitates, and says, "Can we not make the the best of three choices ?" Sanket says that it is not fair to change the rules in the middle. She finally accepts the name and Daksh and Naina have a smile on their face.
As Vedant takes all the gifts to keep them inside, he drops some of the slips on which the names were written, and the father notices that all of them have the same name, and he gets suspicious, and wonders who could have done it. Naina on the other side remarks that the grand mother's wish has come true, and the father senses it is the work of Naina.
Next morning, Rohini comes to the room, where Naina too is talking to some one on the phone. A green water bottles drops out of Rohini's hand and rolls on the floor, crossing the dividing line, and halts at Naina's feet. Rohini wants the bottle, and draws the attention of Naina, by making noises, but Naina ignores her and continues to speak on the phone, and Rohini wants the bottle badly, and she is about to cross the barrier line, when Naina tuns her head and sees her.

After the naming ceremony, one of Rohini's friends passes a remark, seeing how Vibha takes care of the child. She says, that the salaries of servants are high, and one's in laws are a good substitute, which makes life easy, as well as it saves money. She congratulates Rohini at her foresight and decides that she too will call her mother in law to look after the house. It will save her money.
Naina from the other side, watches this girl, and comes to the line and tells her that one should not speak of the love of a grand mother or grand father in this say, by comparing them to servants. Rohini gets offended at Naina advising her friend and comes to the line, and without crossing it, points fingers at Naina and humiliates her in front of her friend, spilling the family secrets, and when her mother in law tries to slow her down, her speed accelerates, and she then kicks off the flowers from the dividing line, to expose the while line of division, and the family is humiliated by her and she openly tells that it is because her mother has given half the house to her son, who has disowned her. The guests raise their eyebrows and look at the dividing line and draw their own conclusions.
In the kitchen, Shyamal, shows indifference to Vibha and when she asks why her behavior has changed, she tells her that she should not worry what others think. In any case, always, she does what she wants, and does not bother about others' feelings, and she leaves her and walks off. Vibha is miffed. Later when she goes to complain to her husband, he too is in his own world, and thinking of what has been happening in the house, and tells his wife that Rohini should not have spoken like that, but the wife defends her and put the blame on Naina, but the husband has his own views which he keeps to himself.
Later the grandmother goes to Rohini's room, when she hears the child crying. On entering the room, she sees her son trying to pacify the child and his wife trying to sleep. Sanket hands over the child to his mother, who tries to pacify the child, but when he does not stop, Sanket picks the toy which Daksh gave, and hands it over to his mother, and the child stops crying when he hears the rattling noise. Vibha says, that it was given by Naina, but Rohini says, why she bothers who gave it. It is sufficient that it keeps him quiet, and she goes to sleep, but her mother tells her that she should take care of the baby and the kitchen work she will handle. Rohini knows that she will do whatever she wants and goes to sleep.
In the bedroom, Daksh and Naina pass playful remarks about how she managed to change the slips in the bowl, and got them to chose the name which his mother chose and they throw a cushion at each other and finally she goes to sleep and Daksh pulls the covering on her tenderly.

They watch Kaka too is having his breakfast on his side, and he reads the day's paper to his sister in law, and passes his usual remarks, in which he compares them to be on Ram's side and Daksh and Naina on Ravan's side. He says they do not have Hanuman to do their job. Naina too adds some pun to his words, and then asks Daksh again about the food, and he praises her, but adds that it does not have the feel of his mother's cooking, and Vibha glances sideways at him.
Next day, Vibha is in the kitchen, frying lady fingers. Naina too is there, but the mother is busy, and she forgets that her vegetable is burning. Naina draws her attention, and the mother turns back and takes care of her cooking, without a word of thanks.

In the morning, Naina is on the telephone talking some business matters, and Rohini seeing that her electric bell has stopped working walks down to the kitchen to fetch some cold water. She opens the refrigerator and takes a green plastic cold water bottle, which slips out of her hand and rolls towards Naina, and stops near her feet. She tries to draw the attention of Naina but Naina ignores her and continues her talk on the mobile, and Rohini tries to cross over the line after looking all around her, but just then Naina turns back her head. Before Naina could say anything, Rohini gets a shout from her mother in law, who has just stepped into the kitchen and gives her upteen reasons, not to cross the line and that it is not good to drink cold water, and gives her a jar of boiled water, and asks her to take it to her room. Rohini calls her up to her room to help her and the mother rushes with her as it is one way she has to spite Naina, and in the bargain, lands into trouble herself
Her husband warns her that she is trying to over do things, and she has a one track mind, which will not deviate from her set goal, and that is to spite Naina by hook or by crook. Rohini has asked her to prepare ladyfingers, and she has promised to make it for her, and when she goes away, Rohini gives her sly smile, thinking that her mother in law is in the palm of her hand and she can twist her whivever way she wants, and will not realize it. Her husband however is measuring both, and is of a bent, which does not want to hurt those whom he loves. Seeing his wife complain of a back ache, he rubs analgesic balm on her waist, and she gets some relief.
She rushes to the kitchen, where Naina has already started her work, and Shyamal is busy with her work. A tired Vibha comes in, picks some ladyfingers, and starts cutting the vegetable, but it is obvious she is showing signs of a breakdown. Naina looks at her with anxiety, but Shyamal then volunteers to help her sister in law, who refuses to accept help. In the meantime, Kaka comes to call Shyamal and tells him that there is no need to help her sister in law, who does not appreciate anything he does for them. He feels they should water those plants which give them flowers, and he needs her help to secure a business from his friend, to whose place he wants to take her, and wants her to come out and get ready. Vibha asks her to go with her husband and she leaves. When the cooking is going on, and the pan is on the fire, Vibha hears the grand child crying and she rushes to see what the matter is without lowering the flame, and she is stuck up with Rohini who takes advantage of her mother in law, and palms more work on her, and she is delayed in coming down to the kitchen. Naina sees that the vegetable is almost burnt, When Vibha comes down, she draws her attention to the vegetable, but she imputes motives for Naina, who has gone to attend a call, and it is Daksh whom she warns of the deteriorating health of his mother. He consoles her and tells her that everything will go on fine, and she should not worry about them.
At meal time, Vibha with her family is eating food, and Rohini makes fuss about the burnt vegetable. Her father tells her to calm herself, and eat some other vegetable. Her mother takes her side, and tells her husband not to speak like that to her daughter in law. He gets annoyed. Naina is on the other table eating her meal quietly. Rohini protests and say, what is the trouble she can not cook something which she likes. She accuses her of using sweet words to win her over, but does not do anything. The mother swallows the bitter words, but her husband can not tolerate these and scolds Rohini.
When the child cries, Vibha rushes up to the room, and Rohini asks her to mind the child and take it to her room, and the pliant woman, rushes away with her child, so that her daughter in law can go to the massage parlor. Her husband finds the behavior of his daughter in law unacceptable. Vibha asks him, to get come cow's milk from the refrigerator, and then she tells him, that it is over, and that he should get it from the market. He calls his son, and tells him, that he should bring it when he comes home, and is told that he will be late. He tries to call Rohini, but her phone is switched off.
Naina seeing his predicament, offers the milk and checking that no one is looking at him, the father surreptitiously, takes the milk and warms it and takes it to the child.
In the precap, we see the grand mother, walks up and down with the child, and falls down in exhaustion, and the husband rushes to her, and just then Daksh too enters, and so too Sanket and Rohini. They all see their mother lying prostrate on the floor, with the child in her hand.

Rohini is being reprimanded by her husband, but she is on her own wavelength. The mother comes and wants to feed the child, as he is restless, and goes down to the kitchen. In the kitchen, the father is desperate, as he has no money to buy milk from the dairy, when Naina offers him, the milk from her share in the refreigerator, and keeps the vessel on the kitchen table, with his empty vessel. When Vibha comes she sees the milk vessels, and is pleased with her husband and tells him to heat the milk and bring it for the child, and the husband nods his head in compliance, and does her bidding.
The mother is head strong, and even when she is suffering from fever, she insists on helping Rohini who takes full advantage of her, to the annoyance of her husband. The mother totters down, and collapses on the chair, and Naina wants to come forward to help her, but the stubborn woman, just looks at her angrily. Naina being from a different background does not understand what influences her mother in law, who swings from moods of extreme love for her grand child, and then the pendulum touches the other exteme, when she merges into hate ! It looks that this is an abnormal psychological phenomenon, that all the others can do is to look on at her, and accept it as an inevitable fact. Kaka is the only person, who stings her and her family, poking fun at them, at their odd behavior.
Naina is desperate and complains to Daksh who tries to reason out with her, about the recent happening, when his mother tottered and fell on the floor with the child, and then everyone rushed to help her, and the crazy daughter in law comes and snatches her child as if she is in danger from a deranged woman, and the way she speaks about them, everyone senses the level this woman can reach in her own egoistic trip, and again, Kaka gives her a fitting reply, which smarts Rohini, and leaves the others dumb founded. Naina promises Daksh that she will find a way to make them see sense, but he has no hopes, but asks her to allow time to take its own course, to mend their minds. Perhaps he knows his kind better than a Bhardwaj from the North.
When the sick Vibha goes to the kitchen, Naina is on the telephone with her client, and she sees that her mother is not fit to do any work. She tells her that even if she does not want to speak to her, at least she can listen to what she has to say, but it is like water on poured on the duck's back, and she takes oil, and starts heating it with some herbs, and her husband comes and reprimands her, to no avail. She takes the heated oil and goes to the bedroom to massage the child and sees Rohini with the child. Rohini tells her that she has made up her mind to keep a full time maid to look after her child, which appears strange to Vibha who can not accept the fact that her precious grand child will get out of her reach, into the hands of a stranger.
In the precap, Naina sees a maid who has come to an interview and warns her to ask her high salary, as these are rich folk. They may say that they can not afford it, but she tells her to insist, and the maid agrees, but then she sees the father looking at her angrily, to whom it appears that she is trying to sabotage the plan. But the fact is Naina still wants Vibha to have the role of the care taker, which the stuipid family can not understand. Perhaps it is a gentic flaw, which has skipped in Daksh, but he too has had moments of looking at Naina's motives with suspicion, at the beginning, and we hope he will not fall into a relapse, to the consternation of all those who love Naina.

Rohini with her baby in her arms is walking up and down, waiting for the applicants for the job of a maid, and starts grumbling about how late they are in coming. Outside, Naina is on a mission, sending shock waves in the applicants, giving them apprehension about the type of work they will be expected to do, and sends three back, and the fourth one, wants the job badly, but Naina tells her to ask for a fat salary and her father watches her, with anger. Later when he is going in, she tells him, why she did it, because she wants Ayee to have the happiness of looking after her grandson. He asks Naina if by stopping the Ayas, whether all the problems of her mother will be solved, and at least he gives her a hearing and then goes inside.
When Vedant asks his mother to prepare something as he is hungry, she tells him, that she is busy cleaning the house, and then he tells her to keep a servant when husband comes, who asks his son, why they need a servant, and Rohini tells him, that necessity calls for answers, but hints that he should ask, if he can afford a servant. She tells them that they should live within their means, and the husband says, that it all is in the way one thinks. One may think he is a king and the other that he is a beggar. He tells his wife to leave her work, and make tea for him, and she goes to the kitchen.
Kanta is the woman who comes to meet Rohini who tells her that her only job will be to look after the child. When she is asked how much salary she wants, the answer is seven thousand rupees, and this shocks the boss, and she takes her number and tells her that she will get back to her. Kaka tells Rohini that if she is prepared to spend so much, Shyamal or Akruti could do the Aya work. He gives back to her the proverb she told them to live within their means, that is to say, one should use a mat that fits their feet, so he tells her that same thing will apply to her, and that her mat will tear into tatters and become a hand-kerchief ! Shyamal brings tea, but Kaka says that he is not in a mood to drink the tea, and then before leaving he lets another barb at Rohini, saying her income is half a rupee, but she her dreams are five times bigger than her income ! Rohini has no reply.
Vibha's husband tells her that no servant has been selected, and she tells him, why would they need a servant, when she can do the work. He admits to her that no one can take care of the child as well as she can. He tells her that she should take care of her own life as well. Vibha says, she is going to look at the child and leaves him. When she goes to Rohini's room, she hears she has put the music loud and when the mother asks to reduce the volume and Rohini refuses, then she offers to take the child, Rohini snatches it from her hand and holds him and tells the mother to go and have rest. Vibha leaves the room very sad, and as she gets out of the room, Naina looks at her with disappointment.
Daksh comes on line and talks to Naina and light heartedly, tells her the weather is getting too hot. They exchange funny words and try to lighten the situation, and Naina feels bad for the mother, and her husband tries to mollify her anxiety. As Naina is speaking to Daksh, she is in the living room, and sees Rohini coming in with her child and so she changes the subject and speaks of a grand sale of 90% on children's clothes, and tempts Rohini to get out to the mall. She falls for her ruse and tells her mother that she has an urgent work to do outside, and hands over the child to her, and the father tells that it is more important to look after her child than her out door work. Ayee comes forward to relieve Rohini, and takes the child and Rohini leaves the house, and gives her mother the happiness of being with her grand child for the next five hours. Vidhyadhar looks on at his wife and her happiness, and is all smiles with joy of being a grand father.
It is late in the evening, and Daksh comes home, and Naina is laying the table, and he asks her why she cut off the telephone and was talking gibberish, and she puts her hand on his mouth, and tells him he need not say more. She shows him the table and it is laid with different dishes, and he asks her if she prepared it all by herself. She says,"Why not. I opened all the packets and served them in the dishes, for my beloved husband" and they smile. She tells him, that the idea of shopping was great. Hardly she spoke about it, Rohini jumped at the idea, and went to the mall. He smiles at her sharp mind.
Rohini reaches home with bags of shopping at 7.45 p.m. and is in high spirits telling her husband of the cheap stuff she got from the shops. She says that there was no sale in the mall, but Sanket is offended that she was away for more than five hours leaving the child with his sick mother, and Rohini does not find it odd at all. His mother comes running with the child and defends her daughter in law. When Sanket continues scolding his wife, she shouts at him, and says it is for this reason she wants to keep a maid, and tells him, what if it costs seven thousand rupees, and her husband is shocked out of complacency and tells her that he can not afford it. He says they will manage by sharing the work, and the Ayee says it is a good idea. But Rohini says, they could break the father's fixed deposit. Everyone stares at Rohini, as if suddenly she has exposed her true character to them. Daksh and Naina too, gape at her with open mouths.
The mother goes to her room crying at the situation she finds herself in. Naina watches her coming, and as the mother crosses her, Naina tells her, "Mother, do not worry. Atharva will never be separated from you. I will see to it.". Her mother can not believe what she hears. Wonder whether by now she has understood the difference between these two young women in her life, if not she is a fool.

Her husband warns her that she is trying to over do things, and she has a one track mind, which will not deviate from her set goal, and that is to spite Naina by hook or by crook. Rohini has asked her to prepare ladyfingers, and she has promised to make it for her, and when she goes away, Rohini gives her sly smile, thinking that her mother in law is in the palm of her hand and she can twist her whivever way she wants, and will not realize it. Her husband however is measuring both, and is of a bent, which does not want to hurt those whom he loves. Seeing his wife complain of a back ache, he rubs analgesic balm on her waist, and she gets some relief.
She rushes to the kitchen, where Naina has already started her work, and Shyamal is busy with her work. A tired Vibha comes in, picks some ladyfingers, and starts cutting the vegetable, but it is obvious she is showing signs of a breakdown. Naina looks at her with anxiety, but Shyamal then volunteers to help her sister in law, who refuses to accept help. In the meantime, Kaka comes to call Shyamal and tells him that there is no need to help her sister in law, who does not appreciate anything he does for them. He feels they should water those plants which give them flowers, and he needs her help to secure a business from his friend, to whose place he wants to take her, and wants her to come out and get ready. Vibha asks her to go with her husband and she leaves. When the cooking is going on, and the pan is on the fire, Vibha hears the grand child crying and she rushes to see what the matter is without lowering the flame, and she is stuck up with Rohini who takes advantage of her mother in law, and palms more work on her, and she is delayed in coming down to the kitchen. Naina sees that the vegetable is almost burnt, When Vibha comes down, she draws her attention to the vegetable, but she imputes motives for Naina, who has gone to attend a call, and it is Daksh whom she warns of the deteriorating health of his mother. He consoles her and tells her that everything will go on fine, and she should not worry about them.
At meal time, Vibha with her family is eating food, and Rohini makes fuss about the burnt vegetable. Her father tells her to calm herself, and eat some other vegetable. Her mother takes her side, and tells her husband not to speak like that to her daughter in law. He gets annoyed. Naina is on the other table eating her meal quietly. Rohini protests and say, what is the trouble she can not cook something which she likes. She accuses her of using sweet words to win her over, but does not do anything. The mother swallows the bitter words, but her husband can not tolerate these and scolds Rohini.
When the child cries, Vibha rushes up to the room, and Rohini asks her to mind the child and take it to her room, and the pliant woman, rushes away with her child, so that her daughter in law can go to the massage parlor. Her husband finds the behavior of his daughter in law unacceptable. Vibha asks him, to get come cow's milk from the refrigerator, and then she tells him, that it is over, and that he should get it from the market. He calls his son, and tells him, that he should bring it when he comes home, and is told that he will be late. He tries to call Rohini, but her phone is switched off.
Naina seeing his predicament, offers the milk and checking that no one is looking at him, the father surreptitiously, takes the milk and warms it and takes it to the child.
In the precap, we see the grand mother, walks up and down with the child, and falls down in exhaustion, and the husband rushes to her, and just then Daksh too enters, and so too Sanket and Rohini. They all see their mother lying prostrate on the floor, with the child in her hand.

Rohini is being reprimanded by her husband, but she is on her own wavelength. The mother comes and wants to feed the child, as he is restless, and goes down to the kitchen. In the kitchen, the father is desperate, as he has no money to buy milk from the dairy, when Naina offers him, the milk from her share in the refreigerator, and keeps the vessel on the kitchen table, with his empty vessel. When Vibha comes she sees the milk vessels, and is pleased with her husband and tells him to heat the milk and bring it for the child, and the husband nods his head in compliance, and does her bidding.
The mother is head strong, and even when she is suffering from fever, she insists on helping Rohini who takes full advantage of her, to the annoyance of her husband. The mother totters down, and collapses on the chair, and Naina wants to come forward to help her, but the stubborn woman, just looks at her angrily. Naina being from a different background does not understand what influences her mother in law, who swings from moods of extreme love for her grand child, and then the pendulum touches the other exteme, when she merges into hate ! It looks that this is an abnormal psychological phenomenon, that all the others can do is to look on at her, and accept it as an inevitable fact. Kaka is the only person, who stings her and her family, poking fun at them, at their odd behavior.
Naina is desperate and complains to Daksh who tries to reason out with her, about the recent happening, when his mother tottered and fell on the floor with the child, and then everyone rushed to help her, and the crazy daughter in law comes and snatches her child as if she is in danger from a deranged woman, and the way she speaks about them, everyone senses the level this woman can reach in her own egoistic trip, and again, Kaka gives her a fitting reply, which smarts Rohini, and leaves the others dumb founded. Naina promises Daksh that she will find a way to make them see sense, but he has no hopes, but asks her to allow time to take its own course, to mend their minds. Perhaps he knows his kind better than a Bhardwaj from the North.
When the sick Vibha goes to the kitchen, Naina is on the telephone with her client, and she sees that her mother is not fit to do any work. She tells her that even if she does not want to speak to her, at least she can listen to what she has to say, but it is like water on poured on the duck's back, and she takes oil, and starts heating it with some herbs, and her husband comes and reprimands her, to no avail. She takes the heated oil and goes to the bedroom to massage the child and sees Rohini with the child. Rohini tells her that she has made up her mind to keep a full time maid to look after her child, which appears strange to Vibha who can not accept the fact that her precious grand child will get out of her reach, into the hands of a stranger.
In the precap, Naina sees a maid who has come to an interview and warns her to ask her high salary, as these are rich folk. They may say that they can not afford it, but she tells her to insist, and the maid agrees, but then she sees the father looking at her angrily, to whom it appears that she is trying to sabotage the plan. But the fact is Naina still wants Vibha to have the role of the care taker, which the stuipid family can not understand. Perhaps it is a gentic flaw, which has skipped in Daksh, but he too has had moments of looking at Naina's motives with suspicion, at the beginning, and we hope he will not fall into a relapse, to the consternation of all those who love Naina.

Rohini with her baby in her arms is walking up and down, waiting for the applicants for the job of a maid, and starts grumbling about how late they are in coming. Outside, Naina is on a mission, sending shock waves in the applicants, giving them apprehension about the type of work they will be expected to do, and sends three back, and the fourth one, wants the job badly, but Naina tells her to ask for a fat salary and her father watches her, with anger. Later when he is going in, she tells him, why she did it, because she wants Ayee to have the happiness of looking after her grandson. He asks Naina if by stopping the Ayas, whether all the problems of her mother will be solved, and at least he gives her a hearing and then goes inside.
When Vedant asks his mother to prepare something as he is hungry, she tells him, that she is busy cleaning the house, and then he tells her to keep a servant when husband comes, who asks his son, why they need a servant, and Rohini tells him, that necessity calls for answers, but hints that he should ask, if he can afford a servant. She tells them that they should live within their means, and the husband says, that it all is in the way one thinks. One may think he is a king and the other that he is a beggar. He tells his wife to leave her work, and make tea for him, and she goes to the kitchen.
Kanta is the woman who comes to meet Rohini who tells her that her only job will be to look after the child. When she is asked how much salary she wants, the answer is seven thousand rupees, and this shocks the boss, and she takes her number and tells her that she will get back to her. Kaka tells Rohini that if she is prepared to spend so much, Shyamal or Akruti could do the Aya work. He gives back to her the proverb she told them to live within their means, that is to say, one should use a mat that fits their feet, so he tells her that same thing will apply to her, and that her mat will tear into tatters and become a hand-kerchief ! Shyamal brings tea, but Kaka says that he is not in a mood to drink the tea, and then before leaving he lets another barb at Rohini, saying her income is half a rupee, but she her dreams are five times bigger than her income ! Rohini has no reply.
Vibha's husband tells her that no servant has been selected, and she tells him, why would they need a servant, when she can do the work. He admits to her that no one can take care of the child as well as she can. He tells her that she should take care of her own life as well. Vibha says, she is going to look at the child and leaves him. When she goes to Rohini's room, she hears she has put the music loud and when the mother asks to reduce the volume and Rohini refuses, then she offers to take the child, Rohini snatches it from her hand and holds him and tells the mother to go and have rest. Vibha leaves the room very sad, and as she gets out of the room, Naina looks at her with disappointment.
Daksh comes on line and talks to Naina and light heartedly, tells her the weather is getting too hot. They exchange funny words and try to lighten the situation, and Naina feels bad for the mother, and her husband tries to mollify her anxiety. As Naina is speaking to Daksh, she is in the living room, and sees Rohini coming in with her child and so she changes the subject and speaks of a grand sale of 90% on children's clothes, and tempts Rohini to get out to the mall. She falls for her ruse and tells her mother that she has an urgent work to do outside, and hands over the child to her, and the father tells that it is more important to look after her child than her out door work. Ayee comes forward to relieve Rohini, and takes the child and Rohini leaves the house, and gives her mother the happiness of being with her grand child for the next five hours. Vidhyadhar looks on at his wife and her happiness, and is all smiles with joy of being a grand father.
It is late in the evening, and Daksh comes home, and Naina is laying the table, and he asks her why she cut off the telephone and was talking gibberish, and she puts her hand on his mouth, and tells him he need not say more. She shows him the table and it is laid with different dishes, and he asks her if she prepared it all by herself. She says,"Why not. I opened all the packets and served them in the dishes, for my beloved husband" and they smile. She tells him, that the idea of shopping was great. Hardly she spoke about it, Rohini jumped at the idea, and went to the mall. He smiles at her sharp mind.
Rohini reaches home with bags of shopping at 7.45 p.m. and is in high spirits telling her husband of the cheap stuff she got from the shops. She says that there was no sale in the mall, but Sanket is offended that she was away for more than five hours leaving the child with his sick mother, and Rohini does not find it odd at all. His mother comes running with the child and defends her daughter in law. When Sanket continues scolding his wife, she shouts at him, and says it is for this reason she wants to keep a maid, and tells him, what if it costs seven thousand rupees, and her husband is shocked out of complacency and tells her that he can not afford it. He says they will manage by sharing the work, and the Ayee says it is a good idea. But Rohini says, they could break the father's fixed deposit. Everyone stares at Rohini, as if suddenly she has exposed her true character to them. Daksh and Naina too, gape at her with open mouths.
The mother goes to her room crying at the situation she finds herself in. Naina watches her coming, and as the mother crosses her, Naina tells her, "Mother, do not worry. Atharva will never be separated from you. I will see to it.". Her mother can not believe what she hears. Wonder whether by now she has understood the difference between these two young women in her life, if not she is a fool.
