He looked at the clock, he had to attended a meeting. He rushed especially since it wasn't his office this time.

"Sorry I'm late." He said to the receptionist.

"The Raizada - AK conference?"

"Yes."

"Actually Mr. Khanna told me to deliver the message to you, the meeting it postponed one hour. But since your already here, his partner is in the conference room preparing. You can go if you like. 2nd floor, room 4b."

"Thank you" Arnav said. He was quite frustrated. Time is money, but these people don't seem to understand. He walked into the room and to his surprise, Khushi was there. She was wearing a dress. Not an Indian dress, a real dress. It wasn't to explicit since it was a formal dress but she still looked beautiful.

"Tum?"

"I prefer 'aap' and Ms. Gupta to you. May I ask what you are doing here? Is there any insults that you forgot 3 years ago?"

Arnav was shocked. "Well Miss. Khushi Kumari Gupta, for your information, I am here for the conference. And I believe the question is why are you here."

"Excellent question. I am the company's 50% partner."

"What?"

"Yes, I know it must be shocking for you as you thought I'd die without you and your help, but luckily all people in this world are not like you-- egoistic and full of himself. After I stopped working for you, I met Aditya. My childhood friend. We were both broken and beat down, then we decided to work together and the result is in front of you, we created one of the biggest clothing brands in the world. But unlike you we don't carry our ego and our pride on top of our heads. We created the AK industries faster than you created the Raizada Industries. And look you and many other companies are coming today to hopefully impress US in hopes of become out partners. But anyways, why dig up the past. I don't care anymore, you're here early, you can rest. I will still be here. Hope my presence doesn't bother you... sir."

Arnav was dumbfounded. He couldn't say anything. When did the sweet Khushi turn into Ms. Gupta?

Arnav got out his laptop. He was sneaking glances at Khushi. She looked like a fairy when she was practicing her presentation and the smart board's light shined on her face.

Just then a man came in. He had a black suit, bluetooth on his ear, and dark glasses. He looked like a business man only more sleek, and very charming. It was Aditya. He failed to notice a mesmerized Arnav in the room. He slid his hands around Khushi's waist and fastened them causing her back to be on his chest.

"Bas baba, ab to kam karna band karo! Ek ghante ka break tha aur tumne us me se aadha ganta kaam me waste kardiya."

Khushi put her hand on his cheek and said, "Kaam karna kabhi waste of time nahi hota." Aditya was about to kiss her neck when she coughed, "Aditya, there are people here."

Aditya looked up. He didn't see anyone at first but when he scanned the room for the second time he noticed a furious Arnav.

Aditya quickly let go of Khushi and blushed. He ran his hands threw his hair and said, "Toh Khushi, woh maine tumhe jo file di thi use padha?" He was desperately trying to make it seem like he and Khushi were having a professional talk.

Khushi laughed, "Ji, Adi." Aditya walked up to Arnav, "Hello, Arnav Singh Raizada, I have heard a lot about you. Sorry for the inconvenience but I had to postpone the meeting. Make yourself comfortable, you can hang out until the meeting." Aditya said. "Oh, and by the way, I'm Aditya. Aditya Khanna and this is my partner, Ms. Khushi Kumari Gupta." He said as he took out his hand. Arnav grabbed his hand and shook it very slowly. "Arnav Singh Raizada." He said as he looked at Khushi.

Khushi was going back to the smart board to practice her presentation yet again. Arnav was impressed Khushi thought of perfection as a requirement. Aditya grabbed Khushi.

"What do you think you're doing?" He said as he started to pull Khushi out.

"Wait Adi, I promise, just 2 more minutes." She pleaded but in vain as Aditya had already pulled her out.

Arnav then pinned her down on the car's bonnet.

"Arnav, tum yeh kya kar rahe ho?" She demanded

Arnav didn't bother listening. He headed straight for her neck. He adorned it with his soft kisses.

"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Raizada." Aditya said.

"It's just Mr. Raizada and his secretary." Arnav corrected.

"OMG! Chamkili?" Pam said.

"That's Ms. Gupta and madam to you." Khushi said with a stern look on her face. Arnav admired this.

"Yeah, yeah whatever. Nice boy you seemed to trap." Pam said looking at how Aditya and Khushi's arms were crossed with each other's.

"Excuse me, I don't appreciate you talking to my fianc like that." Aditya came in as he escorted Khushi to meet the other guests. Arnav glared at Pam. Fianc? Arnav thought. He was really mad.

Arnav went ask Khushi when he found her speaking to a friend.

"Well, yeah. I mean he has every quality I am looking for in a husband. He cannot see anyone insulting me and if anyone does he'll stop them, he is understanding, caring, someone I can be myself around, someone who wouldn't care if I was having a bad hair day, someone who wouldn't mind starting a family with me, someone who respects me, my family, my thoughts and opinions, and most importantly someone who loves me."

Arnav mentally noted this down. He was still furious. He walked up to Khushi and dragged her out.

"What do you think you're doing?" Khushi asked trying to loosen his grip on her.

"Khushi, I need to talk to you!" Arnav exclaimed.

"No, I am not the Khushi who was once your employee. You cannot manhandle me anymore. And wait weren't you the guy that always talked about my aukat and haisiyat. Well then, now I am just as respectable as you, if not more. I do not wish to speak to you, see you, or work with you. It was Adi who picked you."

"Adi, your fianc right?" Arnav said hoping for a 'no'.

"Yes, I am very happy with him."

"What about Di and Nani?"

"What about them? It's not like I'm never going to see them? What's your problem?"

"I don't have one."

"Fine than let me leave." She said twisting her hand desperately. He let her go.

"Wait!" Arnav said.

He didn't want to say this but his heart prompted him to, "What about us?"

Khushi turned around. What had he said? She walked up to him.

"There was no 'us'. We were just enemies forced to bear each other. We still are and we will always be. I remember my life before the AK Industries happened as a bad dream." She said to Arnav very furiously.

Arnav was very hurt. He remembers the day of Diwali when he yelled at Khushi. I must've hurt her so much. I snatched the laughter and joy out of Khushi. He felt so bad. He felt worse about Khushi getting married to someone else. He went back to the party and headed straight for the bar.

"One bear please." He asked the bartender. Arnav didn't drink much. Even when he would be sad and when he drank it was something very light in a very small amount—like wine during dinner. But today he needed alcohol to get through the rest of the night. Khushi saw this, oh how she felt like stopping him but her anger towards Arnav didn't let her go.

Arnav was on his 6th mug of bear waiting for the seventh. He saw Aditya and Khushi dancing. They looked so comfortable in each others' arms. More importantly Khushi didn't mind having Aditya, sorry her Adi's, arms on her waist.

Aditya had received a call and had to go leaving Khushi alone.

Arnav got up. He was fully drunk.

"Who tumhara boyfriend, sorry fianc, woh kaha gaya?" He hicupped. Arnav was barely able to walk. Khushi reluctantly helped him and brought him to a sofa. He place him on it but Arnav grabbed on to her causing her to fall on him.
