PART 9:NAINTARA'S TALE..

Maan stood there shocked.He couldn't believe his own ears.Geet was his bhabi's sister???

She was his saali??

How on earth would that be possible??

He himself had made sure Geet was Sam's sister...

Dev was shocked too...

Maan had taken revenge on Geet for Sam's doings???

He always loved Maan for his thoughts and doings but now he couldn't believe...

Only he knew how much Naintara had to go through after all had happend in her life!!

He snatched the photo from her hand and looked at the girl smiling-

"No...yesa..nahi...hosaktha!"Dev murmured.

Naintara went up to Maan and held him by the collar and said,"She doesn't have any connection with your ex-girlfriend Maan"

"bhabi..."Maan began unsure of what he was to say.

"Dont you dare call me bhabi..You don't have the right"she said spitting venom with each and every word.

Naintara left his collar and turned back to look at the photograph in her husband's hand.

"Geet ke saath mujhe ek bahuth puraana rishta hai"she began her tale.

(FLASHBACK-15 YRS BEFORE-NT:13 GEET:5)

"Geet run don't stay!"tara yelled.

She herself didn't know what had to be do be done.

She went towards the exit of the kitchen trying to get access of a phone or something to call the Fire department.

They had come to their farm house in Mussourie to spend the summer vacations.Their farm house was fully furnished with wood.

Her father was a very famous lawyer and her mom a housewife.Everything was perfect in life a few hours back but now-

Boom!!

Another blast.

Tara felt the whole house burn and along with it herself.She tried to escape but no way.

They were staying in their private estate so there was no means of yelling for help.

Her body was half burnt when she felt her chain go missing.

"mera chain..kahaan hai?"she stated and started to search.

It was a beautiful locket with two hearts-a gift from her badi ma her last birthday.

While one heart was with her the other one adorned her baby sister's neck.She searched and searched not caring how she was burnt and finally she got it!

She heaved a sense of relief when she heard the sound of ambulances rushing before everything went pitch dark...

(FEW HOURS LATER)

Tara felt her whole body pain.She tried hard to open her eyes when she heard a sound,"dheere beta.."

She recognised the voice.The voice of badi ma.It was planned that they would come to Mussorie to meet them.She guessed maybe by the time they had arrived they could have seen the house burning and must have called the ambulance..

The first word that escaped her mouth was"Geet??"

Badi ma shook her head indicating that no one had survived other than her.She hugged badi ma and cried for the fate of her little sister.

A few minutes later the doc came in and said,"Mrs.Pratheepa Kashyap,we've arranged for the plastic surgery.If you could only signhere we'll start with the procedures."

She saw badi ma nod her head and sign.Tara asked for a mirror and after a lot of hesitation badi ma gave it to her.

When she saw her face she shrieked!It was just...horrible!!

Her once pretty face was now burnt so bad.

She felt tears sting her eyes as she was wheeled to the OT.

(1 MONTH LATER)

She was now a little bit back to normal yet not completely recovered from the loss.

Nowadays she sensed badi ma and badi pa were really secretive.She didn't know why. Neither did she care.She saw her badi pa who she now called dad,enter her room with a smile and a boquet of floweres with a 'Get Well Soon' card.

He came and kissed her forehead and said,"Hows my star today?"

"I'm fine dad"she replied with a smile.

After a bit of hesitation she asked,"Have you got any information about Geet?"

"No beti"he said sadly.

He took out a fabric from his pocket and showed it to her.

"This was the only thing they could recover from there"he said sadly.

Tara held the piece of cloth which appeared as if it was torn stuck by a nail.She inhaled sharply knowing she couldn't see her baby sister ever again..

(10 YEARS LATER)

Tara was fuming.Her dad(badi pa) had sent her to a boarding school to be present as their guest of honour as he couldn't come.

She hated it.She was to go on a date with Dev Khurana, neurologist who was nearly 3years older than her.

They had met when dad was in the hospital for his regular checkup and Dev was passing by when he saw her.

She was asking the ward boys the way to the pharmacy and had bumped into Dev who steadied her by her waist.

Both had felt a strange sort of connectionat that time.When dad had suffered from a heart attack,again Dev had met her.

He consoled her and would sit with her for hours holding her hands and assuring that he was there and nothing could go wrong with dad.

After nearly three months he had finally asked her out and dad had spoiled it!!!

She was lost in cursing dad that she bumped into a 15 year old girl and inturn spilling the contents of her glass on her Anarkali.

She looked at her with anger but it all disappeared when he blue green eyes met with her hazel ones..
