@beeangel11 - If you remember Siddharth suggested to take divorce. Divorce between Prem & Roli i suppose. Legally & sanskaron se he is right ...

After they divorce, Prem may have reason to tell Mataji that now he is legally out of the marriage scene with Roli ...

i'm not sure but may be there is a term called "Annulled" -- means to call off a marriage without taking a legal divorce...prem could argue that he was not aware of getting married to roli...so, from that point of view, that marriage was actually never happened...also, roli being a minor ----that could be another option to call the marriage illegal...

This is absolutely correct - if the terms & conditions under which a marriage is performed is illegal, then it can easily and legally be annulled. In this case, if Prem & Roli make a joint case to any court that he had no idea that he was marrying her, while she had no intention of marrying him and was just filling in for her sister, no judge will ask them to give it 6 months.

Given that the CVs have no brains, I don't expect them to get this right. But in reality, did Prem & Roli register their marriage? I doubt it, in which case, their marriage may not even have legal sanction. But whatever the case, if a marriage is annulled, its legal and social implications are different from a divorce. Since the marriage was illegal/null & void to begin w/, a girl whose marriage is annulled is as good as one who never married in the first place, whereas a girl who is divorce is looked @ as tainted - at least in TV land.

According to me they dont even need a divorce because first of all the marriage is illlegal and secondly it was a fraud done and prem did not know that he was marrying roli so he has every right tro say that i do not accept roli as my wife and marry simar. And in this matter even the house people cannot open their mouths and neither the court can take any action. I feel prem should just go against his family and marry simar in front of all the family members and keep their mouth shut.
