oh dev ,u didn't used to talk with this little one very bad.so it means like ruhi used to tag with dev more ,now this hriday will be more with radhika ,oh between ,i loved this name very much,its very lovely.

Part 163: Ruhi .. the face of change and passing time'.

The Bhatt house was filled with noise around with the guest walking across, sitting, chatting, sharing the smile around. And this time the employees from Delhi site also came to visit chandenpur, to see the yard, and the vinery, the factory, and to enjoy the beautiful chandenpur, along with attending the function.

RUhi was running around wearing a blue princess dress, that Lehcu brought for her specially.

"chuchuma, look at my pretty dress"

"um, now only need your prince by your side" Sushma replied

"um, I am going to pari, to show her my dress, ok, , come" Ruhi pulled on Sushma's hand

"I have work dear, will go later." Sushma replied

"no chuchuma , come"

"Chudki, come, let's go"

Ruhi looked at the corner and found smiling Sammy, and she ran towards him.

Sammy: so you like this dress

"um. I want to show to my Pari"

Sammy : see chacha only selected

Ruhi: buva said she brought for Ruhi

Sammy: did she say that? ! um, then she only brought it.

They went to the yard.

Dev was near Radhika, helping her out with caring Hriday. He was clicking as many pics as possible to capture the mom and son duo. Suchi was telling everyone how much Hriday looking similar to dev when he was a baby.

Later that evening the house got empty and everyone settled in front room. Ruhi and Lechu were opening gift wraps, and Ruhi was not seeing much gifts for herself.

Ruhi got up and went and sat with a heavy face

"what happened princess?" Asked sushma

"don't talk to me"

"tell me beta, what is it?" suchi went near

RUhi looking at Suchi: not fair, nobody gave RUhi gift

Suchi: then who brought you this pretty dress

Ruhi: baby got hat too

Suchi: RUhi beta, today everyone came to meet him, so only

RUhi: ha, and baby won't even come to play with RUhi, and Ruhi didn't get any gift.

She sat with crossing her arms at her upper chest and held them tight, with a heavy face.

"beta, Baby is so small, he will come with you later, ok"..Suchi tried to console

"all telling same, but baby not coming" Ruhi stood stern on her stand

The time passed with little arguments and Ruhi's concerns, while Radhika tried to settle Hriday. Radhika was in her deep sleep when Dev stepped in. He smiled seeing her sleeping sound after a long time. She was taking care of Hriday while trying to give Ruhi her word of space. He went to freshen up . Coming back , he opened the window door and stood looking into the star filled night out, he felt good as the gentle breeze caressed his cheek skin.

Hriday made his discomfort to the wet bottom, and caught Dev's attention. He looked at Radhika who is still in deep sleep, and thought not to wake her up, he went and picked Hriday and put him down to change his nappy. He throwed down the dirty one away and was cleaning and drying, while hriday gave a naughty smile. Smiling back Dev tried to pick a new diaper from the stand, standing next to him. While trying to grab it, he felt the warm spray over his front skin, and soon it was rolling down his tummy. The forehead tightened and he looked back , while little Hriday gave a relief smile. Dev looked down at his lower chest down to his wet tummy, and looked back at Hriday, saw the toothless gum smile.

"Thum bhi." He stopped right away seeing Radhika moving in her position, and then lowering his voice to a whisper, coming near his son's ears, he said: "you naughty one, will see you in the morning, now if I say something, ur mamma will wake up and then her sleep will be spoiled for the rest of the night, so u escaped this time, and ha don't tell anyone about it , ok".

Saying that , he looked at Radhika once, and then quickly cleaned him again, and changed to new dry diaper, taking his t-shirt off, he wiped off his skin. He took Hriday in his arms, and went and stood near the window, and Hriday looked into his papa's eyes, while Dev kept his eyes on him. The coolness of the gentle breeze gave him the comfort in his papa's arms, and the natural voice of the night sang the lullaby, As the time ticked away, Hriday closed his eyes to a calm restful night.

Settling Hriday back in his bassinet, Dev once again cleaned himself, and joined Radhika in bed. He looked at her face, and smiled to see her serene look. As if seeing his eyes on her, she wrapped her arms around his chest, with a smile, laying on his back, he grabbed her into his arms. He softly rubbed over her back, as she slept sound in his warmth.

Next day as usual was busy until everyone left and Ruhi sat on the varanda with her sad face.

Sushma: what happened Ruhi beta?

"nobody is there to play with Ruhi" she mumbled

Sushma smiled seeing Dev coming out with a gift for RUhi

"Ruhi beta, look at this".. Dev called out for her loudly

Ruhi raised her eyes, and then ran towards Dev, and Dev lifted her up in his arms.

Rhi: for me!!!!

Dev: um, for my princess, ready to try

"um" she nodded her head in agreement and slip down from his arms. Dev held the new bicycle and Ruhi tried to step in. With a small push she started pedaling.

"she is not even using the one here, and then why to bring another one?" Sushma said in normal way

""that's because it is small for Ruhi, see she is grown big, so she need a bigger one, right RUhi?" Dev reasoned his action.

""ha papa" RUhi supported

"um, um, then get ready to go to school too soon, in two months" Sushma said while walking in.

RUhi: I lov school

Sushma; um, let see

Dev smiled looking at Ruhi and soon RUhi started taking rounds while Dev giving those small push.

Time ticked by , the space got filled with "ngeee ngeee ngee' sound soon

Everyone ran to the front and found Ruhi standing with her scrapes on elbow, and knees

Radhika; are you ok beta

"Ngee ngee ngeee" Ruhi replied

Radhika cleaned her elbow, and knees and then applied Band-Aid. Ruhi continued her act of 'ngee ngee' in front of each new faces that came after the incident, and showed them the band aid. She cried again when Mohan said that he is going to take the bicycle away as it hurt RUhi.

"no, mine mine, " she cried loud. The elders laughed and kept it back in place consoling her.

Time passed by. Lechu and Sammy had a baby boy, and the happy moments continued in their life. Time ticked by, along with the quarrel between the little ones. Ruhi started her school.

Radhika smiled looking at Dev's concerned face while saying 'bye' to Ruhi.

Radhika: dev, what is this?

As they sat back in their new Mahindra Jeep

Dev igniting the engine: what else, how can you smile Radhika, think how she will manage everything, I don't know, and you are smiling

Radhika: I am concerned too, but seeing your face, I can't stop smiling.

Dev: um, don't tease me now.

But then by afternoon Dev showed up with Ruhi back home

Radhika stood there with ? ing eyes, and while trying to hide his face Dev said: teacher called me, and said Ruhi is tired, so"

Radhika didn't question, just took Ruhi's school bag and went in.

It continued for a week, ..

the night was clear with sparkling stars and Dev and RUhi were trying to count them.

Dev: RUhi beta, you like school

Ruhi: Ha papa

Dev: um,

Ruhi: papa, all my friends stay back whole day.

Dev: you are too small na, you need only that much leaning only. and you told me you don't like that teacher when she rolls her eyes na.

Ruhi: Really papa, Meera madam is strict i don't like her.

Dev: did she scare my princess too

Ruhi: um papa, she rolled her eyes at Suma the other day, I told Suma not worry, my papa will ask

Dev: um, let me see her on monday ok.

Ruhi: um, that's my papa.

Dev: don't tell all these to your mamma ok.

Ruhi: ok papa,

Dev: ha my princess, if you have any issue , just tell papa, papa will take care of it, ok.

Ruhi climbing on his chest: my lovely papa. muwaa

Dev: ye hui na bath

Radhika silently retired back to her room leaving the daughter and her papa unnoticed.

The next Monday afternoon when Dev showed up to pick Ruhi, he stopped with a skip of heart beat seeing RAdhika coming out

Controlling her smile, Radhika walked near to puzzled dev, and said : I know teacher maybe calling you today too, so I came early, Ruhi is fine, and she had her lunch too, she ate it completely sitting along with her friends. Meera madam said she is getting better and doing fine, we need to pick her up in the evening only.

Dev's mouth went dry but he managed to say : oh really!

Radhika: ha, now don't worry, I will only pick her up too. Ok

Dev: no , I can do that

Radhika: Don'y worry, I will be fine. Buva is taking care of Hriday, and moreover dadaji bhi heina. She loves my scooty ride too

Dev looked at the red colored scooty where Radhika was directing herself.

Radhika sitting on it: Dev, Thanks for the scooty, I was in doubt how to restart everything, now I am comfortable, don't worry about anything now, even I asked the teacher to call my cell only if they need anything ok.

Dev just nodded his head in agreement.

She smiled and said: chale

Dev sat back in his jeep, and looked at her

Radhika: come to haweli, let's have lunch together

He tucked a smile at the corner, as she drove in front. He followed her slowly. She smiled at the passing lady and with a pause the lady asked 'beta, sundari had six babies this time'

Radhika while driving "ha kaki, I will go in the evening with Ruhi, she loves to see them too"

Kaki smiled showing her betal stained teeth, and as she turned her face, she saw Dev following Radhika. Kaki gave a shy smile and nodded her head

Dev smiled back, and continued his small crawling drive behind Radhika.

Kaki stood there for a second watching them driving away, and continued on her path.
