Rusty is thrown out of the house

She is in search of the happiness she often dreamt of. However, her happiness is shattered and her smile fades away when she realises that her own grandparents refuse to acknowledge and accept her as their granddaughter.
Of course, the other family members cannot even figure out the reason of her visit to India and look down on her with hostility. She is soon seen as a bad influence on her cousin Candy, be it Candy's late night out or even the discovery that Candy has a boyfriend! At the same time, as Rusty continues her struggle to be accepted by the family, her grandfather warms up to her on several occasions.
With a little help and support from him, lonely Rusty slowly and gradually changes her appearance from a pretty blonde maid to a Punjabi khudi. As they start chasing him, Rusty hides him in her room…only to be discovered by the family. An upset Kushal Dadi asks Rusty to leave the house immediately as she cannot let her stay there and ruin the family reputation. As she walks out of the house, she is stopped by her father - Randheer Singh Deol, who returns from London. She then makes a promise to her father, that she will make the family accept her - in three days' time. But does destiny have other plans for her? Will Rusty keep up to the promise made to her father?
