Short
The wedding preparations are on. Rajbeer notices the spark between Pankaj and Meeta ;) Dhruv and Ishu talk about Rajbeer and Preeto - how happy and changed they seem till yesterday and wonders what could have gone wrong. Dolly suggests a diet for Meeta so that they find a guy for her at the wedding more easily. Both Preeto and Rajbeer arrange for a cook, and decide that in the future they'll have to work as a team to make the wedding as good as possible.
Detailed
Everyone's planning for the wedding. Beeji and their father's making the invitation list, and Beeji says she wants to invite all her relatives as she's waited for this day for so long. Rajbeer suggests that they have the lunch at their house (the sangeet will happen there, and the wedding at the gurdwara). Preeto asks who'll make the food, and Gagandeep says they'll arrange for a cook, after checking with Rajbeer if he'll fit into their budget. Rajbeer assures everything will be done. Preeto and mamaji decide to go and check with the decorators and Rajbeer says he and Pankaj will go check the gurdwara.
Pankaj and Meeta are upstairs, preparing for bed sheets, duvets etc. Meeta tries to get some covers down from the cupboard, and Pankaj worringly tells her to be careful and not to fall at him if she does fall. Meeta manages to take down the covers but fall in the process. Pankaj asks her if she's okay etc, but Meeta just laughs telling him it looks like the umbrella's been opened the wrong way. Rajbeer comes in and see both smiling and laughing together. Pankaj doesn't notice Rajbeer's there until Meeta mentions it to him. Rajbeer notices Pankaj's behaviour around Meeta, especially when she fixes his glasses before they leave.
Dhruv and Ishu talk on the phone about how something must have happened between Preeto and Rajbeer for them to be behaving so weird. They talk about how happy they were to see Preeto and Rajbeer changing for the better. But in a way it's better to have happened now then someone getting more hurt later on. Dhruv tells Ishu to cheer up and be happy about their wedding.. Preeto walks in and listens to Ishu talking to Dhruv, to which Ishu ends the call fast. Preeto offers to sleep with Meeta so that Ishu can talk to Dhruv peacefully. Ishu says she has to get up early, so she should sleep anyways. Preeto says she too should sleep as she has to meet someone tomorrow. Ishu asks if that someone's Rajbeer, but Preeto says she's going to meet the cook. Ishu again mentions Rajbeer, asking if he'll go with her, but Preeto denies saying neither one of them are eachother's assistant. She goes to talk about how Ishu's feeling before the wedding, if she's nervous or excited. Preeto starts talking about when they were younger and arranged the marriage of dolls. Ishu gets a little emotional thinking back, and about how much they have to do for her real wedding. Preeto says she's doing it for her loved ones, and how much she'll miss Ishu after the wedding. Ishu says she'll miss everyone too. Preeto tries to stop her from crying by telling her she should be happy these days. She puts Ishu to sleep, and prays to God to keep her family happy always. She might have neglected her family being in love, but promises to be there for them now, and hopes God watches over them too. (PS: I didn't like how Preeto mentioned falling in love as a big mistake, and that she would never think of it again. But you probably know my views on that already..)
The next day Neelam comes to visit them (and take Ishu to the jeweller). She asks if the clothes for shagun are ready, and if she can see them. She thinks they'll look really cheap, but actually likes the clothes. She asks if they can put a golden coin along with every suit as it's a tradition they have. Ishu comes and they both leave. Beeji worries about the golden coins, but Preeto assures her it'll work out.
Preeto leaves, and sees Rajbeer fixing some decoration outside. He offers to drive her, but she says she'll manage. He asks if she's getting anything that might be difficult for her to bring on her luna, and what exactly she's going for. She asks why he's asking so much - it's a wedding so there's hundred things to do. Rajbeer says he just asked in case he could be of any help. While they're talking the tent falls down on them, and they have a small moment. Both takes it off and Preeto yells at the persons for not doing their job well enough.
Dolly talks to Beeji about how half of the proposals happen at other wedding, and suggests that they give Meeta nice clothes etc and find a guy for her at Ishu's wedding itself. Dolly also suggests how to make Meeta reduce weight. Rajbeer overhears everything, and goes and sits down with them. Dolly continues talking, and Rajbeer interferes by saying he doesn't think starvation to reduce weight is good for your health (Bless Rajbeer! As a nutrition student, I must say I'm happy to hear someone not supporting that, gives out the right message to the audience, and some relief to me that not "everyone's" on a diet in India, regardless of which. I don't see why they're focusing so much on her weight though, she doesn't look that fat 🤔). Dolly asks if the health damages caused on the parents for not finding a guy for their daughter is any better. Meeta won't loose anything by not eating a few days. Beeji calls Meeta and tell her she'll only eat two roti's a day (and then you won't have the energy to help much for the preparations, then you'll faint, and we'll spend some of the money we've got left for the doctor to come and see you. Yayy!) Dolly adds a glass of kerala juice. Meeta gets angry and leaves.
Beeji, Rajbeer and Meeta talks to a cook. He tries to increase the pay by saying he needs to pay all those working for him as well. Meeta says they'll help him, that way she'll get to learn things from him too. Rajbeer adds that if they like his work, he'll get the contract for his wedding as well. The cook agrees, and starts working. Preeto comes home, and asks who the guy is. At finding out they've already hired a cook, she asked how they decided on one when she's already paid advance to another one. Rajbeer says he arranged for him, and Preeto tells him she should have been informed at least. Rajbeer says she too could have told him, especially when he asked. Beeji tells Preeto to say no to the cook she brought.
Preeto goes to the terrace, and Rajbeer follows. She tells him she's spending every coin very carefully, but he's making them spending more then needed. They both talk about being more open when doing something so that the preparations goes as smoothly as possible. Talking to eachother after what happened might be a little awkward, but they're still friends. Even if their relation didn't work out, they should see to it that Ishu and Dhruv's marriage's a success, and for that they have to work as a team. Rajbeer puts his hand forward, and Preeto hesitatingly accepts.
Overall a good/ok episode. Think we'll get some nice scenes next week :)
- Sorry for all the mistakes. It's quite late here now, and my eyes aren't cooperating with me.
