Appy(Farhina)-I haven't completed my 10th standard

A school dropout, who has not even completed her class 10, is a nightmare for any parent.

More so when this happens with someone who belongs to a family of teachers. That's what Farhina Parvez, who plays Appy in Siddharth Tewary's Navya, experienced. Farhina came to Mumbai against her parents' wishes.

"They were upset with me because I had not completed my studies. I did not even finish secondary school. Since my entire family is well-educated, it was only after I promised to continue my education that they let me pursue my acting dream," says the young girl.

Farhina's aim is to finish school and move on to higher studies, while continuing to act. "My parents are my inspiration. They stay with me for some time in the year and help me with my studies whenever possible. I try to study when I get some free time on the sets," she says. Happy with her decision to be in the glam world, she says, "I want to prove to people that the glamour industry is not as bad as they think it to be."
