Part 4
After the punishment is over everyone wishes Geet a very happy birthday and gives her presents... Everyone has breakfast together... Maan and Geet leave for the wonderful day ahead...
Geet: So Maan whats in store for the day today...??? Whats the surprise???
Maan: Madam surprise agar bata dunga to whats the surprise then... Wait for sometime... The day has just started...
Geet: As u say sir... I am all ready for the fun...
Maan: I can tell u one thing as of now... I have a got u the same number of gifts as ur age and they are at different places... Now its upto u to solve the clues I or others give u and reach to ur gifts... So ready for the fun???
Geet (gets really excited): Yup Maan... U r too good... I am all soo excited abt everything... So the first gift is the bike that u got for urself and the second is this red dress... Oops I forgot to tell u... Its just fabulous... I loved it... and thankfully I don't have to share it with u... (Laughs out loud)
Maan: Yeah Geet... U have become smarter this birthday... Aakhir kiski dost ho tum...
Both start laughing and then leave on the bike for the further surprises...
Maan drives through the city where Geet keeps herself engrossed in the view of the city... She had always wanted to tour the city on a bike and it was like a dream come true for her...
Geet: Maan tumko pata hai na its so dreamy to be on a bike touring the city... Whats the next destination???
Maan stops the bike on the road side and answers...
Maan: Mishti, destination ki choice meri hogi ye tumne ho kaha tha... Now don't argue abt it and try guessing ur next gift... Actually two gifts...
Geet: Alright sir... Gimme hints...
Maan: Apart from new dresses u wanted these things as well from some time but actually couldn't ask dad for it... One of it u broke sometime back and the other one u would need it wen u go on a bike ride like this today and in future...
Geet (gets excited): I can guess the first one very easily Maan... Its my sunglasses... Ohhh myyy God...!!! U got me a pair of sunglasses... Jaldi do... I need them in this scorching heat...
Maan: Madam, thoda wait karo... Pehle next gift to guess karo...
Geet: Hmmm... So what do I need during my bike rides??? Hmmm... (thinking)... Maan do u mean a helmet???
Maan: Nahi dumbo... That's what we have already got with a bike... U would obviously need it during the bike rides but incase u dnt want to wear the helmet for sometime... Or lets say u need it wen u go for shopping...
Geet: Then it must be a handbag... That was easy Maan...
Maan: Nopes... Try harder princess... (smiles at her and winks)
Geet: A wallet...???
Maan: Nahi...
Geet: Phir kya hai batao na...
Maan: Well... Let me give u one more hint... Well... Wait... Lemme think... Hmmm... So I would say it's the thing u loved at first sight when u visited the Shopper's Stop last...
Geet (stomping her feet): That was last month Maan... I don't even remember what I liked... How can I??? U know I love shopping and go on a shopping tour almost every weekend... How m I supposed to remember what I loved at first sight a month back... (She keeps continuously speaking even without waiting for Maan to respond and Maan keeps there standing with his arms folded across his chest listening to his continuously speaking Mishti... )
Geet: Wait... I guess I remember... I loved a scarf and that too of red colour which would go perfect along with this dress... Maan tell me na u got me that scarf... I had so wanted to buy that at the time I saw it but didn't have a matching dress along with which I could wear that... Please tell me you got that for me... OMG I now see y u got me this dress... It just matches perfectly with this dress... I would shout and say all over again... U r my bestest buddy... My besttt friend... (She jumps around getting so excited)...
Geet: Maan, now speaks sumthing... Say na was I correct in guessing...
Maan: Mishti, do one thing... First take a deep breath in and a deep breath out... U need to relax girl... Itna excited hone wali to koi baat nhi hai... and the answer to ur question is yes... U have correctly guessed ur gifts and u get them... They r hidden sumwhere here itself near the bike... Go and get it...
Geet: This is unfair... Yahan to door door tak kuch nhi hai... Y r u spoiling the fun... Nahi dena hai gift to mat do... (She makes a pouted face)...
Maan: Mishti yaar, ye to mujhe kehna chahiye... U r spoiling the fun... Tumne hi kaha yahan door door tak kuch nhi hai... Shayad gift yahin kahin ho...???
Geet: Hmmm... Shayad bike mein ho... Gimme the keys sir...
Maan: Mere saath reh reh kar smart ho gayi ho tum... (Both start laughing out loud and Maan gives her the gifts kept in the bike...)
Geet is super happy receiving her gifts...
Geet: Maan whats the destination???
Maan: If I don't tell u now, u would eat my brain right??? So well lets go to India Gate first.. That's ur favourite place in Delhi to visit right... Then further we'll move to the place where u will get ur other gifts...
Geet: Yup... It has been so long we have had been to India Gate... I just love the calm and the serene environment there...
Maan: Haan haan jaanta hoon... Tumhe ek taraf to disco wagairah shor waali kagah pasand hain but at the same time u prefer quiet calm places when u want to be away from the crowd...
They reach India gate and spend some time roaming around in the gardens and enjoying the quiet surroundings...
Geet: Maan this is the great beginning to the day... I will remember the day lifetime...
Maan: It was my duty to make the day special for my Mishti... Abhi to bas shuruaat hai... Aage aage dekho hota hai kya (and winks at her)...
Geet: I would love to spend the whole day here itself... Mujhe kahin nahi jaana...
Maan: Geet think before u speak... U might regret it later... We can come back anytime u want... Chalo enough of this stuff now... Time to the other round of gifts... There is a box sumwhere in this garden which consists of ur gifts... I am sitting here... U go and find it out for urself...
Geet: Maan ye to galat hai... Tum bhi chalo ne mere saath... Kyat um mujhe aise akele chhod kar yahan baithoge.??? (makes a cute baby face)... Kya tumhe pata nahi hai... "Akeli ladki khuli teejori ki tarah hoti hai"... (suppresses her smile making a cute face)
Maan: Mishti, enough of ur filmy drama... Main yahin baitha hoon and the box is not very far u can easily find it...
Geet makes a straight face and goes around in search of a box whereas Maan finds himself a place under a tree... When Geet moves a few steps ahead, he signals someone to keep the box under the same tree he chose to sit under...
Geet roams around the garden for sometime and comes back a bit tired and worn out and sees Maan having a power nap enjoying music on his earphones...
Geet (shouting): Maan... What r u doing??? I am tired of searching for my gift and u r njoying and relaxing over here... U have no courtesy for ur frnd here who is dead tired becoz of ur surprise..
Maan is unaware of the things happening around because of the loud music and gets awake startled when he is hit by someone hard on his head...
Maan: Kaun hai jisne Maan Singh Khurana par haath uthane ki koshish ki??? Uski to...
Geet: Haan Maan Singh Khurana... Main hoon Geet Handa jisne aapke saath aisa kiya... U are such a stupid, idiot, donkey, monkey and everything else I cant think of now...
Maan: Intelligent, Handsome, Smart, Loving, Caring...
Geet: Shut up and stop boasting abt urself... Where's ur stupid gift?? Cant u see I am tired of searching for my gift and u... u r njoying and relaxing over here... U have no courtesy for ur frnd here who is dead tired becoz of ur surprise..
Maan: Geet dear, itni mehnat karne ki kya zaroorat thi... The gift is very close to u...
Geet: Maan not more of ur tricks now... (Sits down thud on the ground)... I am not going anywhere now... U will get me the gift here itself and I am not moving anywhere without the gift...
Maan: U don't have to move anywhere Mishti... Just move ur head... (smiles)
Geet (just then notices a box wrapped in a beautiful gift wrap behind her): U ullu (owl)... Tum bata nhi sakte the this is the gift and I kept searching for it for sooo long... Now let me see what u have in it...
Maan: Sure madame... As it is I never asked u to work so hard... U could have first seen the place arnd u before moving and searching the entire area...
Geet opens the gift box and finds the posters of her favourite actors Shahrukh Khan and Shahid Kapoor and a box of DVDs containing all her favourite movies...
Geet screams seeing them and hugs Maan...
Geet: This one is the best of all... I can watch all my favourite movies anytime I want and I dnt have to bug u up to get them for me from the market...
Maan: Now u must understand y I got them for u... I just wanted to save myself from ur movie demands at odd hours...
Geet: That's rude Maan... But today u r forgiven... I am so happy... I can put these posters all around in my room and dream abt them the whole day... (already getting lost in her dream world)
Maan gets a phone call and he starts talking seriously about something over the phone when Geet is still in her dream world with SRK and Shahid...
Maan (brings her back to the reality): Mishti, abhi dream world mein nahi please... Baad mein... I have to go somewhere... Dad has got some work which only I can do... Please let me drop u home and then go to the place I am supposed to go...
Geet: But Maan u said u would spend the entire day with me... U r ditching me now... (makes a sad face)
Maan: Mishti u know na... I cant make u sad ever and especially when its ur birthday... But please try and understand... I will be back in two hours and then the fun time will resume for sure... Pakka I promise... Just give me two hours...
Geet: Alright... Chalo drop me home... I will rest for sometime and then we'll have fun...
Maan drops Geet home and leaves on the condition that he will be back in two hours...

Sorry for the delay again but Diwali had been extremely busy for me with my family... But I had loads of fun and have to be back at university tomorrow... So have lots to catch up...
