Shafi-Mammmotty-James Albert team is titled 'Venicile Vyapari'.It has nothing to do with William Shakespeare's famous play 'The Merchant of Venice'.But in this film Mammootty will play a trader based on Alappuzha which is called 'Venice of the East'.
This is Shafi's Fourth Mammootty Film after Thommanum Makkalum,Mayavi and Chattambinadu. This is the fourth Film of James Albert after Classmates,Cycle and Ividam Swargamanu. Also This is the First Film of James albert with Shafi and Mammootty.
The Film will be an interesting one since it unites one of the best Commercial Film Directors of Malayalam with one of the Best Writers in Malayalam.
The story revolves around a murder mystery happened in 1980s. Pavithran (Mammootty) was once a police constable. He lost his parents in his childhood. He enters police force by chance as it is not his ambition. So he resigns this job and starts coir business at Alapuzha. Ammu (Kavya) is the leader of the coir workers. Pavithran loves Ammu, but does not reveal his love. Tamil and Telugu film actress Poonam Bajwa is also doing an important role in this film. She is reprising the role of Lakshmi, a bank manager.

Orkut Oru Ormakoot is a Malayalam film written and directed by Manoj Vinod.The film is launching new bunch of actors which includes Joe Sibi Malayil (son of famous director Sibi Malayil), Ben Lalu Alex (son of actor Lalu Alex), Anu Mohan (Grandson of actor Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair), Vishnu Raghav and Arjun Ashokan (son of actor Harishree Ashokan). Rima Kallingal is doing the female lead.

Anoop Menon is turning hero with Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom PO, which is directed by Kumar Nanda.
Mullassery Madhavankutty Nemom PO, plots about a government employee Madhavankutty who forced by certain typical circumstances dares to dream big time. The highlight of the subject is that the dream is something which every common man can relate to.
The film includes a song composed by late Ravindran and written by Gireesh Puthenchery. The song Paathi Maayum Chandrika.. rendered by Yesudas has been included in the movie as a tribute to these two geniuses. Former Miss Kerala Runner Up Sonal Devraj is the heroine. The other cast includes Innocent,Bala, Nishant Sagar, Mamukoya, Suraj Venjarammoodu, Janardhanan,Esther Anil, Kalpana, KPAC Lalitha.

Dileep would play the lead role in Mr. Marumakan. Tamil actor K.Bagyarag enters in to Malayalam Film industry with the film Mr. Marumakan. K.Bhagyaraj in Mr. Marumakan is playing the father-in-law of Dileep.
Sanusha, the child artiste who made an impact through K K Rajeev Kumar's hit serial 'Orma' has turned heroine through "Mr.Marumakan".
Tamil actress Kushboo will play the role of wife of K.Bhagyaraj in the film Mr.Marumakan. The hit pair UdayKrishna-Sibi.K.Thomas is penning the screenplay of Mr.Marumakan.
The movie outline:
Ashok Raj (Dileep) is the son of Rajagopalan Thampy (Nedumudi Venu), whose family is based in Ottappalam. Although Ashok Raj is a lawyer, his interest lies in reviving a defunct drama troupe called Bharatha Kalakshetram, which used to be run by his family.
He is directing a drama titled Dasavatharam for the troupe and is also the lead actor in the play. Ashok Raj even changes his name to Ashok Chakravarthy as he thinks it has much more punch as a name for an artiste. His elder brother Babu Raj (Biju Menon), who runs a company, is now in a financial mess.
Balasubrahmanyam (Bhagyaraj) is a bank officer who has come to initiate legal proceedings against Babu Raj to get him to repay the loan that he had taken to start his venture. As it turns out, Balasubrahmanyam is now estranged from his wife the haughty Raja Mallika (Khushboo) and daughter Raja Lakshmi (Sanusha). Raja Mallika hails from a wealthy family and is the daughter of the even haughtier Raja Kokila (Sheela), the boss of Raja's group of companies. The trio believe that a woman can survive easily, without the help of a man. The entry of Ashok Raj into their lives forces them to revise their opinions. On the parallel, we are shown a romance story between Ashok Raj and Raja Lakshmi.

NAYIKA is the story of Gracy (Sharada) a leading star until she suddenly disappeared from the silver screen. Now, Aleena (Mamta) has come to do a documentary on her life. Aleena unravels the mystery surrounding Gracy\'s life and her sudden disappearance from the silver screen. Jayaram dons the role of a prominent hero of those times and Padmapriya stars as the younger version of Gracy. Siddique also has a major role in the film, playing the character of Stephen Muthalali, the owner of a prominent film studio. Sharada, Sabitha Jayaraj, KPAC Lalitha are also in the cast. The movie is produced by Thomas Benjamin. Deedi Damodaran is the script writer. Sreekumaran Thampy\'s lines have been composed by M. K. Arjunan. A remixed version of the golden oldie \'Kasthuri Manakkunnallo..\'from the 1975 film Picnic has been included in the film.
