* They met on the sets of the daily soap Kasautii Zindagi Kii, where they had to play the role of husband and wife.

* The first time they spoke, Manish told her that he was a big fan of hers and was really looking forward to working with her. He also said that he did a lot of rehearsals but did only one take. She said she did the same thing but on that very day she took a lot of takes, which kind of broke the ice between them.

* Manish used to rob food from Poonam's tiffin without her knowledge even after she used share her food with everyone on the sets.

* It was Manish's mother who initiated the proposal as she liked Poonam in the very first meeting. She forced him to think about marrying Poonam. His mom then got Poonam's mom involved also and ultimately they agreed.

* Their first date was at Barista (Bandra), where Poonam ordered a lot and Manish didn't have the money to pay for. So he ultimately made up a story and asked her to pay for it.

* Their courtship lasted for six months after which they decided to get married.

* He formally proposed marriage to her at the Siddhivinayak Temple.

* They fought a lot during their courtship period because of her love for animals .

* Got married on October 21, 2002 in Delhi.

* They did not go for a honeymoon due to prior shooting commitments. But managed to get a couple of days of after a few months and went to Goa.

* Her first Karwa Chauth was after a few days after their wedding. But as Manish was shooting for Kisme Kitna Hai Dum.. she had to break her fast the next day.

* She says that as their marriage was like a typical arranged marriage she took about a year to actually fall in love with him.

* She was shooting till her 9th month of pregnancy. And resumed worked after nine months after she delivered Arya.

* They do not have a lot of friends, as they prefer spending quality time with themselves and family.

* For them the most memorable experience is the birth of their son. Manish usually can't stand the sight of blood, so she used to confirm with him if he really wanted to be there when she would deliver. But when the time came, Poonam was nervous and losing it while Manish was very strong.

He kept encouraging her and was very supportive and kept telling her to go for a normal delivery because Poonam couldn't stand the pain. During the entire episode she actually glanced at him and asked "Manish is this really you?" because she could not believe that he was handling the situation so well. He shot the whole delivery with his handicam. The birth of their son is a memory, which is very dear to them.

* They met on the sets of Antakshri when Rajeshwari was hosting it. They didn't speak but only said bye to each other.

* They then met at Richa Sharma's birthday party where they danced together throughout the night. Varun asked her for her mobile number and then called back after a few weeks. They didn't really keep in touch but kept meeting on and off. Said they
used to always start from where they left.

* They once met on the sets of Astitva where Rajeshwari had come to host her show Tide Khel. Varun was very surprised to see her. She says that he kept on talking and wouldn't give her a chance to speak on her show so she just told him "shut up or I'll kiss you". And then when in the make up room he was singing and she heard him she told him not to sing so well or she would fall in love with him.

* They got married on November 24, 2004

* She can't think of anything she would like to change about him as she has learnt to deal with it, so can't really pin point anything.

* They don't really get to spend enough time with each other, so every moment they spend together is a memory in itself at the moment.

* She says that he does not communicate at all, zero communication. Says she can communicate with any object (living, non-living) whereas he does not communicate at all.

* Once during their courtship Archana threw a surprise birthday party for him. She played along the whole week acting that they would just go out for dinner or something and that it was no big deal. On the other hand Parmeet was a little irritated with the fact that Archana was not interested in making some kind of arrangements for the Day.

On his birthday, she made him drive half way through to a restaurant and then said that she had forgotten her purse so needed to go back for the same. Parmeet said that he would pay the bill and if she wants she can pay him later.

She did not agree and asked him to drive back to the house. Somehow she got him to come upstairs to her house for the same. When he opened the door he was very surprised to see 50 of their closest friends all there at Archana's terrace
