From last chapter - we saw ArHi coming back to Delhi after realizing their love for eachother and having a ride on the truck.. they shared very emotional and loving moment with each other..
Chapter 5
It was around 8 in the morning and every one in the Raizada family was on the breakfast table, enjoying the delicious breakfast served by Anjali. Arnav was waiting impatiently for Khushi to come. He was looking at the door again and again, which didn't go unnoticed by Anjali.
Anjali - kya huya chhote? khaana kyun nahi kha rahe? ~she asked with a confused look~ aur aap baar baar yun darwaaze ki taraf kyu dekh rahe hain?
Everyone looked at Arnav waiting for an answer.
Arnav - Di.. itne svaal ek saath kaise pooch leti hain aap ~in his usual tone~ and i am not waiting for anyone..
Anjali - arre.. humne kabb kaha ke aap kisi ka intezaar kar rahe hain... aap bhi na chhote... baat baat par naraaz ho jaate hain humse ~she said frowning a little~
Arnav - Di please..
Just then he felt as if everything had stopped.. the people around him had become statues.. jai parkash walking towards the kitchen had just stopped right there with a plate in his hand.. mami ji had stopped setting her hair style.. nani had stopped in between carrying lakshmi in her arms.. all he could feel was her presence.. a breeze of air, filled with love, had hit her.. he looked towards the door instantly.. and then with a bang.. Khushi stepped in..
She felt his eyes at her.. she looked towards the table and noticed him staring at her with his brown eyes.. but there was something else in them.. it wasn't the way he usually looks at her.. she remembered their moments together from yesterday and blushed deep crimson.. Arnav noticed it.. He smirked, knowing what had caused her to blush..
Anjali's voice break their eye lock..
Anjali - arre Khushi ji .. aap aa gayi? ~she said smiling at Khushi~
Arnav - ofcourse Di.. aapke saamne khari hai toh aa hi gayi hai.. cant you see her? I hope uski bhoot nahi hai
Anjali - uff Arnav.. can you stop picking on me and finish your breakfast?
Mami ji - woh kya hai na anjali... arnav bitwa ko subah subah woh phatti saree ki shakal dekhni nahi psand na.. thats why he is annoyed ~said in her usual annoying tone~
Arnav thought.. tsk tsk tsk mami ji.. you are so wrong.. now you dont know that my morning starts with her.. my day ends with her.. she is the first thought of my freshen up mind in the morning and she is the last one to come in front of my eyes when i lay down my bed looking forward to dream about her..
Khushi by then had come to the table and had wished everyone good morning. She looked at Arnav and looked down, avoiding another eye lock.
Arnav got up and started to leave but then left his cell phone purposely on the table. He said bye to everyone and left, smiling at himself.
Anjali - uff chhote bhi na.. apna cell phone yahin bhool gaye.. khushi ji.. can you please go after him and hand him his phone.. please ~said anjali with a hopeful look~
Khushi - What? me??? why me??
Nani ji - arre bitiya.. de aayiye na.. ismein kaunsi barhi baat hai..
Khushi went upto Anjali and Anjali handed her Arnav's phone. Khushi started walking towards the door, thinking about Arnav as what would he say and how would she face her new Arnav.
Arnav was walking slowly outside as he knew somehow that she would come to hand him his phone. He was looking back at the door waiting to see his angel's face. He went upto his car and started waiting for her. Khushi came from behind.
Khushi - Arnav ji.. ~she whispered~
Arnav promptly turned and saw her, but decided to give her a hard time.
Arnav - hmm kya hai?? ~with fake anger in his voice~
Khushi was taken back. What the?? Why is he being so indifferent? Why is he mad now? What have I done? Hey Devi Mayiya.. sadbudhi dena inko..
Khushi - aapka phone.. ~she held the phone in front of him and asked him to take it through her eyes~
Arnav - okey.. ~he took the phone from her hands. rubbing his fingers on her palm slightly~
Khushi shivered at his touch and looked down.. Arnav started to leave.. Khushi noticed it and looked at Arnav's back with disappointment. Yes, she was annoyed. She was annoyed because Arnav did not even say anything to her. He did not even ask her how she was. For a moment, it seemed to her that everything that had happened yesterday was a dream, there was no reality in it. She thought that Arnav was just joking yesterday.
Tears started to well up in her eyes to the level that his back was blurry now. Arnav turned around to see disappointed and shocked khushi but noticed that his khushi was on verge of crying. He went closer to her and hugged her tightly. He slid his hands around her skinny waist and held onto her tightly. Khushi realized that he was pulling her legs before and she responded hugging his back while putting her head on his chest. Arnav tightened his hold on her and closed his eyes, resting his chin on her head. Khushi sniffed and cuddled with him a little.
Arnav - jaan..
Khushi ~gasped hearing "jaan" from him~ mmm..
Arnav - I didn't mean to ignore you at all sweetheart.. was just teasing you a little.
Khushi - I dont like it when you do that..
Arnav - sorry jaan.. aage se kabhi aisa nahi hoga.. promise.. ~he said patting his hands on her back~
khushi - ~came out of his embrace looking at his chest~ abhi aap jayiye.. derr ho rahi hai..
Arnav - as my Khushi says.. ~he held her hands and gave her a promising look, turned towards his car and opened the car door, just then he turned around~ not so easily.
He gave a very quick peck on her cheek, which caused Khushi tremble. She couldn't understand what had just happened.
She looked up, only to see Arnav's smirking face inside the car and saying "bye".. she could only see his lips moving saying bye to her.. her ears had stopped working after he gave her the peck.. she touched her cheek and smiled, looking at his car leaving. Arnav looked at her in rear view mirrors touching her cheek and smiled. Khushi went in hurriedly to continue on with training Lavanya.
It was around 4 and Arnav was missing Khushi so much. He was unable to pay attention to his work. All his meetings with his clients did not reach upto his expectations as he couldn't understand anything, all he knew was that he longed to be with her, to look at her sweet face, to hold her hands, to assure her that he was there, for her , always.
He cancelled all his meetings and conferences and left the office very early. He was waiting eagerly to see her at home. He reached home around quarter past 4 and entered the door. Khushi looked towards the door from the kitchen while teaching La the names of various vegetables. Lavanya asked her where is she lost. She made up an excuse and started to talk to La again, still feeling him around her.
Arnav looked into the hall but didn't see her there. He asked Jai parkash as where Khushi was. Jai parkash told him that she was in the kitchen. Arnav went into the kitchen only to see her holding a carrot in her hand while munching on it. Her back was towards him so she didn't notice him.
La - arre ASR. I mean Arnav ji.. aap yahaan? itni jaldi?
Khushi, hearing his name, turned abruptly towards him dropping her carrot and hurting her feet a little.
Arnav - ~laughed a little inside on her~ haan kyun? koi problem hai? nahi aa sakta yahaan?
La - nahi. i didn't mean that.. do you need anything?
Arnav - ~an idea occurred to him~ Yeah.. i need jalebis. RIGHT NOW.
Both La and Khushi looked at him with their jaws dropped. WHAT? ASR and demanding Jalebis? and that RIGHT NOW? They both looked at eachother.
Khushi - lavanya ji.. pinch me.. i am dreaming.. i am.. i am dreaming..
la - ~pinched her~
Khushi - oouchhh.. nahi hum sapna nahi dekh rahe..
Arnav was looking at them with a confused look. Yeah he had asked for jalebis but so what? he is a human being and he has full right to eat jalebis any time.
Arnav - Make them right now.. ~and left the kitchen.~
La - chamkeeli.. make jalebis for him.. please please please.. i dont want him to get mad at me.. please.. will you?
Khushi - ~was still in shock. Arnav and jalebis?? she thought.~ haan woh.. haan Lavanya ji.. hum bna dete hain.
Khushi was still confused but she started making the jalebis and in about half an hour, she had prepared bunch of sugar free jalebis. Just then La's phone rang and she left the kitchen, informing Khushi to give those jalebis to ASR asap that it was an important call. Khushi put some jalebis in the plate and headed towards his room. Her heart was beating faster than usual. She remembered their hug from the morning and then Arnav giving her a peck and blushed once again.
She knocked on the door but getting no response.. entered into his room. Just then Arnav walked out of his restroom after a shower. He was only wearing a vest and his PJs. His hair was wet and Khushi could smell his cologne from far away. She kept looking at her Arnav and admiring him, holding a plate full of jalebis. Arnav noticed her staring at him and realized what she was staring at. He smirked and called her name.
Arnav - Khushi..
Khushi - hmmm ~didnt stop staring at him~
Arnav - ~went towards Khushi and shaked her by her shoulders~ Khushiii...
Khushi - ji woh.. ji aap? i mean aapke liye main aayi hoon.. mera matlab jalebis aayi hain.. nahi nahi... mera matlab aapke liye main jalebiyan laayi hoon... ~she started stumbling~
Arnav - ~smiled at her and took the plate out of her hands.~
Arnav - jaao .. kha loonga main.. ~and started eating one~
Khushi - ~was still there.. looking at him, not knowing what she was doing~
Arnav - yeh toh bilkul pheeki hain khushi..
khushi - ~went towards Arnav and took the jalebi he was munching on in her hand and took a bite forgetting that it was sugar free~ Haan yeh toh pheeki hain khushi.. i mean yeah..
Just then Arnav took his jalebi back and ate the whole jalebi at once.
Khushi looked at him surprised.
Arnav - abb meethi ho gayi.. ~winked at her~
Khushi realized what he meant and blushed deep crimson. Arnav asked her to feed him and she did like an obedient child. Arnav enjoyed Khushi feeding him and his time with her. Khushi left after few minutes to finish off with other chores.
It was around 8 and Khushi was in Arnav's car on her way back to home. Anjali had asked Arnav to drop Khushi at her home and Arnav instantly agreed, waiting to spend some more time with his Khushi. They both RM and headed towards Khushi's home. Arnav had opened the door for her and had done her seat belt for her. Khushi was enjoying being Arnav around her. Arnav looked at her and turned on the CD player. Waada Raha song from the movie Khaki was playing. (CLICK ME)(listen to the song.. its beautiful).
They both looked at eachother and Arnav held her hand tightly. She put another hand on their hands and smiled at him. They didn't say anything, all talking was done through their eyes. They reached outside her bhua's house. She looked at him and smiled deeply from her heart. Arnav brought her hands closer to his face and kissed them. Khushi kissed him on his forehead and wished him Good Night. She started to leave but Arnav held onto her dupatta. She looked back at him and asked him what is it?
Arnav - you will be the first person tomorrow that I will see and I will be the first one that you will see when you open your beautiful eyes.
Khushi - kya? jayiye aap.. sapne dekhna band kijiye.. ~she went down from the car and asked him to leave again~
Arnav - you will see jaan.. i promise~he winked again and left from there~
khushi smiled at him and went inside the house wondering what he was upto now.
