You are mind blowing... you are so much into this... unbelievable... 😆
I dont think poor Arnav has anything to do in this conspiracy.😳.. ye sab us accountant ki kartoot hai isliye girls us accountant ko... pakdo .. maaro... peeto... 😆

I am not yet able to digest that they paid her as AR employee... Didnt she resign already... ? Is it not kind of a household NANNY type of the job for which they should have paid her in cash ? and even if cheque as it is big amount... there is no question of TAX deduction from their side... It is Khushi's job to file the Tax return and pay the govt at the end of the year... and she was very much right in asking if she cud pay the tax later... !!
That's why I say... CVs have done this just to develop some story and progress the realization part... but it is an absolutely NON-CREATIVE idea from CREATIVES(are they?!?!😆)
Diya and few others pointed out that Dabba thing is done in some places ... I did not know about it... and I also never felt it like begging or something... but it just ...just... looked C.R.A.P.... 😃

Cheers,
Monsi

P.S. It just struck me that Khushi should not have been made to pay any tax at all and even if she had to pay, it would not be Rs.3000 per month but Rs.500 per month. Here is why:
Khushi will not be in the taxable bracket unless she is under employment for more than six months because income up to Rs.1,80,000 per annum is exempt from tax. As the financial year will be over by March 2012 and she received her first pay cheque in mid-October, her salary should rightfully be tax exempt even if we assume she does nothing but tutor La for the next six months.
Even if we were to assume that she was employed since September and hence would draw 7 months salary, even then only income in excess of Rs.1,80,000 (i.e, Rs.30,000) should be taxed at the rate of 10 per cent (i.e. Rs.3000). This would then have to be divided by the remaining 6 months which should make it around Rs.500 per month.
Arnav has tricked her by deducting more than was required. If she is thrown out of the job before the year ends then even this amount need not be paid.
Poor Khushi. As though her troubles are not enough she now has to file for refund of excess tax paid!

I was just joking there. Since so much emphasis was made on the TDS in yesterday's episode, I thought things should be made clear for people who will be wondering if they too will have to pay tax based on the warped logic of the show!

If she is under the rolls of AR concern then they would deduct tax at source because I presume they are a registered company going by the meetings ASR holds with his shareholders. See here too he is clever. If she is engaged as a houshold nanny he would have to pay from his own income. If she is shown under AR rolls it would be from the company income. So basically AR has two redundant staff - La who is busy playing house and not really working for the company and Khushi who is helping her play house. ASR is not an upright businessman after all, making his company bear his personal expenses and also happily deducting excess tax from his employees. I'm sure those donations he gives to the hospital are also to claim some tax rebates.

At least they are still only non-creatives. hope they dont turn destructive!

Did not like that scene either.

opti: OMG, That is one super calculation. I would be genuinely surprised if that much thought went into it when the writers wrote that scene. Kudos to your post just the same.

No, I just looked up the latest tax slabs as I wasn't sure what was the present limit for tax exemption. The rest I worked out. After all I am also a salaried employee who is subjected to TDS.

As usual the CVs will come up with half baked ideas without checking the facts. If they cant handle technical details why introduce them in the first place?

You are really good at it Opti.. and i mean it 👍🏼 What you said is right..and companies do such things... but here in this show... brainless CVs did this only to compel ASR to pay her hospital bills... which never occurred to him the way his mind is working these days at the turtle speed 😊
Khushi is always right!

There there... I see an ARDENT Khushi fan...😉 Actually Sanaya acted really well in that scene.. her embarassment in asking about the rest of 3k... her discomfort in getting the cheque whereas she thot it wud be cash... awkwardness in front of Arnav after the Hug... so all in all epi belonged to Sanaya I say 👏

I know Monsi, just letting out my frustration at their incompetence.
