Finally an update after a week. Sorry it took so long. but got caught up with one shot idea by Kathie Barnes hehehe so couldn't help but put my ideas in there as well 😆😆
"mom lets go for a picnic today?" Geet looks at Ayush shocked while Maan coughed on his food. There was still some awkward moment between them since the incident in the morning. Geet never looked at him straight in the eyes after that. Both had stayed in the same position staring at each other until Ayush came out of the bathroom. Geet had immediately stood up and went to the kitchen under the pretense of some work. Ever since their awkward moment few minutes back both avoided looking at each other. Maan was sitting right next to Ayush while Geet sat across from them eating quietly. Geet looks here and there thinking what to say to Ayush about the picnic idea and why she can't go but she came up with nothing. Maan understood her dilemma.
Maan: Ayush I forgot to tell you that I have an important meeting later.
Ayush (pouts while Geet looks at him knowing he is lying): Why is it really important?
Maan: yeah. Sorry. We will do picnic some other time
Ayush: But its Sunday. Everything is usually closed on Sundays
Maan: I know but not my company. You know your papa owns it so there is a lot of work.
Ayush: okay. How about we do picnic tomorrow?
Geet: Ayush you have school tomorrow.
Ayush: I could take a day off.
Geet: Nice try but no.
Ayush: But Annie said she is going with her parents. Why can't I go? (Both Maan and Geet look at each other and quickly turns her head away)
Maan: How about you go with Annie?
Ayush (gets down from the chair) No forget it. I am going to play in my room. (Both watched Ayush leave quietly with a sad face. Geet and Maan look at each other but Geet broke the content and began clearing up the table. She goes to the kitchen putting the dirty dishes in the sink to get more from the table when Maan stands right in front of her carrying the plates. She takes the plates from his hands and begin cleaning the dishes. Maan stands behind Geet thinking of what to say.
Maan (he clears his throat): Geet about what Ayush said. (He waited for her response but got none instead. She just stood there washing the dishes as if he is not here...Maan moves closer from behind. Geet stops washing the dishes when she feels him close to her.) Geet...about the picnic that Ayush is talking about. What do you think we should do? (he again waits for her response but again she stayed quiet washing the dishes. He brings his hands, from behind, over hers stopping her from washing the dishes. She turns her head to the side as Maan makes her drop the dishes from her hands and turns her around. She still refuses to look at him.) I am talking to you Geet. Please I am trying. (He whispers in her left ear...she struggles against his grip to lossen his hold but he only holds her hands tighter...)
Geet (looks at him angrily) Let go of my hands!
Maan (pulls her closer with their bodies touching skin to skin) No. What will you do? Just listen to what I have to say.
Geet: NO. Just because I let you come near Ayush doesn't mean that you have any rights on me. (She manages to get her hands out of his grip due to soapy hands and walks to the corner of the kitchen. Maan strides after her with anger and turns her around. He holds her by the shoulders. Geet winces in pain. Maan shakes her)
Maan: Then why did you? Why did you even bother to tell Ayush who I really am?
Geet: For Dadima. That's it. I am not a cold hearted person like you to let someone die just because of an ego.
Maan (lets go of her...) Fine. (he turns around) I really tried Geet. I tried to make you see that I really have changed. I am not asking for any forgiveness but for one small chance to let me show you. I know you think I will hurt Ayush just like I hurted you. (she looks at him shocked) You don't have to tell me. I could see it in your eyes. You don't think I noticed? (he turns around to look at her) it hurts right here (he points to his heart) that you would think I would do that to him. You think I am a cold hearted person? Then fine. I know no matter what I say this won't change your perception of me. (He leaves the house...Geet stood against the counter crying with his last words before leaving. She was so confused. She just couldn't bring herself to be near him or look or talk to him. It was so hard. No one can understand her problem...

"Mom where is dad? Why isn't he here for a picnic?" Geet looks at him as they both walks to the picnic area. Maan's family had decided to the picnic together since the day was nice. Of course Maan wasn't there. He left after their argument without calling once. She started doubting herself if what she said was right or not. There was a guilt running inside her. Something she couldn't understand. Ayush left her hand as Annie and him played together. Geet sat with NT, Dev and Dadima feeling awkward. All didn't know what to say. Dadima still couldn't bring herself to talk to Geet properly or even look into her eyes. NT and Geet have somewhat became friends but their friendship only remained with hello or goodbyes. They would often run into each other while dropping the kids off to school but just could not get themselves to say anything to each other without bringing up the past. It was very hard to move on. How can they forget what happened?
Ayush: Annie
Annie: Yeah
Ayush: What do your dad do if your mom is mad at him? (Annie stops on the teeter-totter and looks at him)
Annie: What do you mean?
Ayush: Well I think that mom is mad at dad. So what should my dad do so that mom is not mad at him anymore?
Annie (thinks) hmmm okay when my mom is mad at my dad then my dad usually brings flowers for my mom the next day.
Ayush: Okay then what?
Annie: Then if my mom is still not impressed then he brings her chocolates. They are her favorites.
Ayush: hmm okay. That is a great idea but I have a problem
Annie: what?
Ayush: Both live separately. What should I do?
Annie: hmmm. Idea! We should bring them together.
Ayush: how?
Annie: come here. (Annie whispers the plan in his ears. At the end both give hi-five to each other...)

Dadima: Geet beta (She looks at her while Dev and NT had left to go around the park)
Geet (smiles) Ji Dadima
Dadima: Have you thought about the future?
Geet: What do you mean?
Dadima: How long will this situation go on? With Maan moving out and Ayush going back and fourth between you guys. Don't you think he will ask questions sooner or later?
Geet: I don't know Dadima. Its just hard for me to decide anything.
Dadima: I know but Ayush is a kid and he doesn't know what happened or what he is saying in his innocent talks.
Geet: I know...but...(before she could say anything Ayush and Annie comes up to them. Ayush sits near Dadima while Annie with Geet...)
Annie; Dadima where is Chachu? How come he didn't come? (Dadima was about to answer)
Maan: Chachu is right here. (He comes from behind. Dadima looks at him with tears while he avoids looking at her. Geet turns her head around and looks at Ayush...Annie gets up and hugs him...) How could I miss picnic with you?
Annie: Yay! (Maan comes and sits near Geet while Ayush sits in his lap...)
Ayush: Papa I am glad you came. I wanted to have sleep over with Annie. (Maan looks at Geet...for the answer...she smiles)
Geet: sure...
Ayush: I told you Annie that mumma will say yes. You lost. (She sticks out her tongue at him)
Annie: Chachu come lets go play.
Maan: umm no. I just came here for little bit. I am about to leave now.
Annie (pouts) why?
Maan (holds her nose) I have work thats why bumblebee. Next time I promise. (He kisses both on the cheek before leaving..)
