Finally, Finally, Mr. Jai Walia, the one with an Ego as huge as the Himalayas, had the grace, the shame and the courage to not only apologize to Bani, but actually look miserable with remorse. Jai comes straight to Bani and without as much as a preamble, just goes off like a child apologizing to his Mother, "Mujhe Maaf kar do Bani." Then as Bani keeps looking at Jai without any apparent expression on her face, Jai miserably turns his face the other side and says with great emotion in his voice, "Please mujhe aise mat dekho Bani, mein tumhare saat nazar milane ke kaabil bhi nahin raha."
If you guys have noticed, this is the first time Jai has actually apologized to anyone since the serial has begun.....and I simply loved his apology. No fancy words, no twisting around, no fumbling with his voice, just a direct, heart-felt and truly repentant apology....Jai knew that all that he has said can never be taken back, the only way to redeem himself was to just go and talk to Bani once.
Bani's reaction did surprise me a little bit, she didn't say that she has forgiven Jai, but just tells him that she could have told about Anu to him beforehand, but as a woman herself, she knows what a girl's honor is and how much it hurts the family to know that something of this sort has happened with the girl.
Jai then says that he didn't know what possessed him when she told him that she was pregnant with someone else's child, "After all you are my wife, dammit." Wow....now that was something, we were all eager to listen.....Bani was stunned but mostly it was Jai, who couldn't believe what he has just said! Bani then came to Jai and looks at him with affection and very respectfully tells him that as long as I am your wife, I will never let your honor down.....As far as I can see, Jai will go to hell and back to make sure that Bani always remains his wife now.....š
And how cute was Jai missing Bani in his room......what an irony....a few days ago it was Bani undergoing the same agony and now it was Jai prancing up and down wondering why is it taking her so long to come to the room.
A good beginning......atleast from Jai's point of view! Bani is confusing me now, she looks very downcast and given up on the relationship and yes, Jai's sudden softness towards her is actually scaring her off more. Cool down Jai, one baby step at a time....Don't make her run away from you!š
Jai is totally on his way falling in love with Bani but it is going to take a lot of effort on his part to win back Bani's lost trust, self-esteem and the courage to love again.......
