They did not show the first year of college .

They started the show with the middle of 2nd year college . They started with Anant joining the college midway.

The entire plus point for Navya to attend the picnic was "this is her 2nd year and next year is her last and she will not get to go coz she has to study.".

Before Kanpur was 2nd year finals and now in a month end of 3rd year
