I used to live in Lucknow and my parents restricted us from watching television for long hours.

However, the two shows I was hooked to were Khandaan and Air Hostess. The former was excellent in terms of weaving family and business relationships into the storyline, which was definitely a projection ahead of its times in those days. And Air Hostess also inspired those who were keen on pursuing a career in the same field. The shows of that era were different and mostly weekly. There were few shows and fewer channels. So one could follow all the shows with dedication. Today's scenario has changed. We have a remote in our hands and are spoilt for choice and option.
