I agree with him!

It should be reserved to the people from the services...Some of the names on the Bharat Ratna achievers list are ridiculous to say the least...

There should be special awards recognizing the contribution of arts and cinema...

Off course he does deserve it but liked he is humble about it. For me Big B is one of the best actor ever in India. His movies and roles are classic says mine dad and he also thinks he is best actor in India ever. He deserve every praise he gets about his works and contribution to art.

I think if any actor, Amitabh Bachan is well deserved.

I do have to say, I've seen two sides of him. One is this humble dignified man. The other side is insecure, proud, and immature. That side comes out through his blogs.

I will not say whether he deserves or not. But there is something that always bothered me over years when Nelson Mandela was awarded Bharat Ratna. Till now, I have not been able to digest that. How can a Foreigner be a Bharat Ratna. No offense to mr. Mandela, but i am sure in 1990, there were a lot of really good Indian's who would have been ideal candidate.

It clearly was against the "name " of the award itself.
