Sushma saw their little talk as she passed thru near their door. She paused for a second, in her eyes it was little Radhika who was listening to those stories, and the teller was herself. Tears filled, and she wiped it off with a smile on her face. She walked near to the varanda.
"Dev, it is too late beta, go to bed"
Dev jerked hearing Buva's voice, with a smile: ha buva, did Ruhi sleep?
Sushma with a smile: she is so tired, but listening to her dadi's story.
Dev: so mom got in her trap. No wonder she didn't come to me for story tonight.

Radhika jerked in fear and then cornered her eyes to found Dev 's profile closer to her neck

The cold wind circled around , the darkness gave way to the sparkling moonlight. The earth was resting under the velvety sky above. Radhika's eyes once again fell into that moonlight darkness. Radhika jerked as his voice mumbled near her ears again

Radhika: I don't know, I felt like I missed something in this darkness all the time. I missed seeing those stars, missed seeing those changing circles of that moon, missed seeing the light shaded dark clouds moving in bundle, missed feeling this chandenpur wind, it was all around me, but , now I am feeling them back. They were near me, but I missed feeling them. How many times I wished to be one of them,
She continued in trance: I wanted to be that sparkling star near the moon, I wanted to slide on that smiley moon, I wanted to fly with this wind, I wanted to float like those clouds,

Radhika feeling the lose hold, turned around and rested her head in his chest, and said: I loved watching the darkness, and I used to hear a strange man's voice as I look at it so deep. I asked dadi many times, who is he? Where is he? Why he singing at this time when everybody getting to sleep. But his voice used to come late night, I was trying to hear it tonight, I felt like I missed that too for long. All this time dadi helped me to find answers, when the thunder and storm hit the ground, she used to say the sky is trying to satisfy the thirst of this land.
Again she tightened he arms around him, ...holding her more loser, he just smiled along with a tear drop that rolled down without his intention, and finally his throat moved to her silence
"I was waiting to hear it from you Radhika, for long". Loosening his arms around her he pushed her slightly back to see her eyes, and holding her chin up, he said: you don't know anything Radhika, for the past few years, I was searching this Radhika inside you, who gets lost in the midst of darkness, who gets lost in the beauty of nature, whose eyes were only dreaming about me, I wished to hold you in that moment, where the search and the stare ends in me. By then Radhika went and sat on the bed with a book in her hand while Dev went to freshen up.
As he came out he just turned the lights off, Radhika looked at him. Getting onto the bed, he took the book away from her , and looking into her eyes he said: tonight is meant for just you and me..
Saying that he turned the bed lamp off and took her into his hold saying: and I just want to hear your beating heart next to mine.
