The wind generating Duppatta smugly flies and falls at Arnav's feet The good lad that Arnav is , he averts his eyes from a shying Khushi, ..Khushi waits a few second , turns around and looks askance at him ...Understanding her silent plea, Arnav quietly lifts the duppatta and hands it over to Khushi, still steadfastly averting his eyes...Khushi looks at his back,puzzled at the different layer's of this enigmatic man, A man she is growing to respect & Like !!
Now comes My favourite part ;
The constantly dueling duo finally deign to sit on the cot , while Arnav sits on disgruntled not even touching his food, Khushi is busy wolfing her's down..Looking at the uneaten plate, Khushi tells Arnav to eat, Arnav says wearily that he does not like spicy food and contents himself swigging on the Lassi.. But can contentment reign long when Khushi is there, No Sirrah !!..Khushi inadvertently blurts out that she is the cause of all this debacle , the series of unfortunate accidents happening from the morning...Arnav is electrocuted on hearing this, The tiredness vanishes to be replaced by a blazing anger ..A blazing anger held in check due to the presence of stranger..
To me this was a very significant thing cux ASR has never bothered about his environs when he wanted to rip, he ripped her off whenever he wanted to but today ,it's another story
... He slowly removes the gargantuan glass and there dazzling everyone is a SPLENDID Moustache, A MOUSTACHE ROYALE !! A Moustache to beat any moustache...The DW tells Khushi to wipe, A petrified Khushi hesitantly wipes the Moustache , Arnav gives a quick glance at the owners , keeps quiet, allows her to wipe while his eyes are shooting sparks ... As soon as the owners leave, and arnav confirms their departure by giving a side long glance , he swaps her hands away and hisses in anger demanding to know the truth, When Khushi confesses that she did this so that ASR n La could share some private moemnts.. Arnav sees RED !!
... I was instantly reminded of the color sequence in Teej track Khushi steps back when Arnav tries to wipe some color particles obstructing her vision.. she backed off then he allowed her to do so now .. He did not bawl her out on her idiocy but waited for the strangers to depart before hauling her over the coals, he waited and heard her explanation pretty quietly but grew furious when Khushi mentioned the unmentionable name...He prolly would not have got into such a towering rage had she simply said that she was just getting even but he really does not like the idea of La and him together ,,when will he acknowledge it ??
Seething in anger, he gets up leaving his plate untouched.. Arnav is hopping mad at Khushi, justifiably so but even in that anger, he does not forget her plight, he hands her some cash, orders her to get a taxi and leave, he himself takes a satchel and proceeds towards Nainital .. But Khushi will not standby, With guilty conscience working overtime, her own compassionate and caring nature coming to the fore.. Khushi hares behind Arnav , demands to know how will he proceed to Nainatal, Arnav bites out that it is none of her concern and waits expectantly for her rejoinder for he knows that KKG is not the type of girl to obey blindly but is a lil spitfire herself ...and she does not disappoint . she states from an understanding born of experience that Arnav has a tendency to react and not think in anger , points out that He neither has a active phone, car and that there is a transport strike and to top that he had fainted and also did not have any breakfast...Arnav listens to this litany in amazement, his eyes gleaming in in pleasure , his face reflecting an unknown joy , a Joy on knowing that there is a soul apart from his sister who cares for him , who worries about him..there is a hint of gratitude [not much , just a hint] , his eyes soften unconsciously, a smile almost makes itself visible well almost but all this is swamped by his ego when she orders him to sit on the cot.. Arnav raises his eyebrows at this command [ Barun was brilliant here] dares her and does what ASR always does at an emotional moment,,he runs away but this time he will not and cannot run far !!
