if all the moms were like Ahem's mom, then all the daughters in law will be so happy.
Every husband will be guided by his mom how to be a good husband. No more complaints.
No mor husband neglecting wife.
i was watching some early episodes like everyone's trip to switzerland and back.
How lovely to watch Kokila correct Ahem the way he was treating Gopi.
very beautifully shown by writers of the serial. it is mom's responsibility to teach her son how to treat his wife.
just like how she teaches rest of the stuff like education, making friends, taking care of ones self.

Yes both gopi and ahem are lucky to have kokilla with them to show them how to treat each other although at first she was no angel cos she encouraged his behaviour and made sure that they didn't forge a closeness in their relationship but I have to admit when she realised her mistake and made it her mission to get her son to accept her vahu there was just no stopping her. I love the fact that she loves gopi so much that she will neva accept anybody else as her vahu cos she feels gopi is the modi family lucky charm , and is proud to call gopi her dil as she is sure ahem will be just as proud to call her his wife.

Yes I agree it's the mother of the man's responsibility to teach her son how to treat women, so Koki is trying now, but before she wasn't like that and sometimes she crosses over into bad Koki also, recently on loosing Saas Bahu competition the force feeding of Gopi...but all in all she's trying her best to be a good saas to Gopi.

I think Hetal is ideal, Rashi doesn't do any work, when Rashi has to do work in the Kitchen comes too and does the work whilst Rashi just sits and watches her, she tells her to rest in the afternoons, she lets her spend any money she wants and encourages her son to give Rashi whatever she wants too. So she's ideal, she does the work and treats the dil like a queen...and she defends her too, what more can you ask for.

kokila has changed now. in the begining most of the problems between aham and gopi was created by her possessiveness of her son. only when she realized that gopi will not turn her son's love from her, kokila accepted gopi. till the sanduk track she always supported aham and his desires. only after the lecture her mother gave, she has began to bring them together.in that case hetal is better, but not for rashi but for normal girls. she is kind, does not bully and advises her son when necessary and mostly doesnt interfere in his personal life.

Just until ahem falls for gopi and starts depending on her for everything then mommy dearest would go ballistic again. If her goal was to be a good MIL then she would have accepted anita but she wants control over her son and DIL.

I so agree...the way for a mother to make sure her son is happy, is to have a wonderful relationship with the daughter-in-law and make sure the daughter-in-law is happy...this makes for a happy son. My mom was a wonderful mother-in-law and she taught this to me...and my sister-in-law also follows her advice...so we are all happy!!!!!
