"Yeh Gopi Vahu peta nahi kaha chali gayi," muttered an irritated Kokila as she tried in vain to search for her daughter-in-law.
"Kya huwa Mom? Aap pareshan lag rahi hain? (What happened Mom? You looked worried?)" asked a concerned Aham when he saw his mother's forehead crease with worry.
"Aham Dikra, dekho na yeh Gopi Vahu mil nahi rahi aur sab us ka pooch rahe hain (Ahm Dikra,I can't find Gopi Vahu and everyone's asking for her)" Kokila explained her worry to her darling son.
After assuring his Mom that he would look for her and not to worry, Aham set out to search for his wife. Hid eyes scanned the area but there was no sign of Gopi. Aham then walked behind the tents expecting her to be there. Or rather, he had a feeling she would be there.
Sure enough when he walked out he saw his wife struggling with something on her back. He assumed that she was probably scratching it. He called out to her only to have her look at him anxiously. Her eyes widened in worry and then she started looking everywhere but him. This got Aham wondering what was up with his wife for she still had her hands on her back. Nevertheless he could not deny that his wife looked breathtakingly beautiful today in this pink outfit which totally enhanced her beauty.
Aham was soon brought out of his reverie when he suddenly heard traditional music blasting from the tents. He saw that Gopi was still worried about something and she still had her hand on her back.
In his usual stern voice, Aham said,"Gopi, jaldi chalo, Mom bhula rahi hai (Gopi, come fast, Mom is calling)" and saw Gopi get more uncomfortable.
"Jee...woh...(Umm...that...)" was all Gopi mumbled worriedly.
"Kya jee woh?! Jaldi chalo (What?! Come fast)" said Aham and started advancing towards Gopi and was shocked that Gopi moved back.
Aham stared at Gopi with his incredulous eyes. She still had her hand on her back.
"Gopi," growled Aham.
Without wasting a second, when Gopi heard how angry her husband was, she quickly said,"Ahamji, meri cholli phat gayi hai (AhamjiN my blouse is torn)" and looked away waiting for her unpredictable husband's reaction.
So what would Aham do? His wife's blouse is torn! He can't possibly let her into the function like that! Share your ideas!
