Satish Kaushik who successfully remade Bala's 'Sethu', as 'Tere Naam' starring the B-town hot favourite Salman Khan, now is ready to remake another Tamil blockbuster

The filmmaker has taken the copyrights of the movie 'Pithamagan' which was also directed by Bala. This Vikram and Surya starrer Tamil flick was a big hit down south and Kaushik is very excited about taking the copyrights for the same.

Says Satish, "I had seen Pithamagan at the big screen in 2003. I was moved by the story and especially the character played by Vikram. Ever since then I have wanted to remake it and now I finally can!"

Bollywood heavyweight producers Boney and Vashu along with Sanjay Dutt where also keen for the remake but Satish grabbed the deal beating all.

'Pithamagan' has been a hot property for Bollywood since its release because of the strong storyline. Vikram had won a National Award for this movie and Surya became a blockbuster star after this movie.

If sources are to be believed, Kaushik wants to either cast actor Saif Ali Khan or Hrithik Roshan for the character Vikram played in the Tamil version.

Y is bollywood hell bent doin remakes frm south movies...this is getting ridiculous !!!!

uk-dhakaboy Hrithik said he didnt love the idea or the remake but you dont know in general i want another film to come between Agneepath and krrish because the gab between the two is just too big and this will be abad decesion . tomnjerry2

Its people fault and mistake .When they say enough is enough no one will do the remake things again but the audience right now became very happy to see these kind of films and thats the problem

Looks like its currently the trend to remake movies from the south and between Hrithik and Saif, Hrithik will suit the role more 😊

i guess hrithik is reading scripts of imtiaz ali and vishal B hrithik wont go dat way...prolly if he finishes krrish early he can sneek a movie inbetween lyk znmd which needs little time 2 shoot n prepare...

Yeah there are other industries they can look at too. Why only South? 😛

vishalinie the film has two lead vikram and surya and from the source will be Hrithik and saif but the interestiong role is for vikram because its autistic role who turn to be aman who want to revenge .I dont know anything about the film but just search about the story right now .
