It's like you share my thoughts, but you have much more courage to put them into words and post them here!!! 😆

You're bang-on about the storytelling part; I've always considered the CV's perspective...successfully writing a daily soap and trying to appease multiple audiences...it's not easy.

But what gets me the most is: They're the CREATIVES. They have CREATIVE LIBERTY. So...honestly, it's up to them what they wanna show, right?

When J.K. Rowling was writing Harry Potter, I don't think she asked potential fans if her characters were being OTT or OOC. Cuz, well, they're HER characters. She wanted to make them that way.

In the same manner, these CVs are the creators. So who are we to firmly say that Khushi can't be silly? Or that Arnav can't be rude?? Those are important aspects of the characters, and the CVs set those out on the onset. The CVs are creating their brainchild, not the audience's.

I mean, in the US, shows are fully shot and then aired in seasons. They develop the full story long before, and then throw it up for the audience to like or dislike. Due to the system in India, CVs can't do that. I'm sure that if they could, they'd do a great job. Then people wouldn't even have a reason to complain, because the product can't be changed anyways.

But since that can't happen, their work is harder. So I respect them for that, and I can understand if some episodes aren't up to par, or if there are bloopers and plot inconsistencies. For IPKKND, they're never a constant...they're clear indications of a bad day at work, or technical difficulties, but it never seems like the CVs are intentionally botching up stuff on a daily basis.

Overall, I'm super pleased with IPKKND till now. The story's development is well paced, the characters are fascinating, and the social issues they bring up are valid and interesting. I don't want them to replace a perfectly great story (with human flaws abound) with anything else. 😃
