Two Children Joined the Majority
in the Coal Mines

'Mom, today teacher will not come. I will take a stroll nearby with dad.' and Sayan went out. It was dusk. The sound of conch echoed from the neearby house.. Birds flew across the sky. Dad was roaming around over the fields nearby the house. It was not a field, a unclosed coal mine, filled up with ash. The little girl Bristy from the near by house was playing nearby. She was also accompanied by her father.
Sayan's grandma had turned on the cartoon channel. Grandson has demanded to watch it after he returns back. Bristy's grandpa was also holding the glass of milk , waiting for his granddaughter to return and gulp it down.

Suddenly there was a loud noise. "Fell! Fell! They Fell!" Who fell? where? Nobody knows...But all the doors and windows of the nearby houses flung open. The sound was coming from the mine. Everyone ran out to see what it was. The mothers came out too. They didn't know what actually happened. The mine has gone down. Both the fathers and Sayan and Bristy have fallen down the depths of mine, estimated 60 feet down.
To other people, the mine seemed same as before, but little did they know that meanwhile all this time, the ashes were choking the father's and kid's mouth and nose. The black ash had clouded them and they were being taken deeper and deeper. The fathers wanted to shout out to their children to say if they are all right...and maybe the children wanted to shout out help. But their voice choked midway.
Next early morning, from the depths of the mine, their lifeless bodies were taken out. Tarak Bandopadhyay and Tapan Bandopadhyay, and their children.
The village of Paraskol in the Andaler Kajora mines. These kind of incidents were quite common there. The kids were in class 1 , in the same school.

The question is, it's not the first time that the people there are suffering from this kind of problems. But for how long? Isn't it the government's responsibility to dutifully fill the coal mines after extracting the coals?

Thanx so much For sharing Murphy..this is truly very sad. My heart goes out to all those who have lost loved ones and friends in this situation..

this indeed is the Government's responsibility to dutifully fill the coal mines so it doesn't cause any harm to the residents who live nearby...the government needs to take action and solve this situation before it takes any more lives..!!

Just shows thatnour greed knows no bounds. Those persons who operated the mines and abandoned them should be jailed.

It's not actually not only the fault of the people who operated , but also of Government. They are supposed to check whether it's properly closed or not, but it seems that they are not actually interested in these. And due to corruption, even if they are jailed, they will be bailed out soon.
