At the outset, let me apologize to my hasty imagination, and conclusions, more out of anxiety of losing a beautiful character like Naina, from the serial. Glad, the actress is still in, and will hearten the viewers with her performance today. Our disappointment, with the recent trend the track has taken, with constant exposure to negativity, may change from now on. It does not look, like the team, has lost its bearing, and are keeping the standards they set for themselves, at the start. Hope they will give us many hours of enjoyable viewing.
The story opens with Sonakshi, trying to impress Daksh, and gets the opposite from him, and after upbraiding her on her disgusting behavior, he tells her that he never loved her, is not loving her, and will not love her any time in future. She is shocked, as he leaves in anger. Her parents are upset at the way he left, and want to know from her if he caused any paid to her, but she tells them, that he came to say sorry for his behavior, and when the father asks why he did not acknowledge him, she tells him, that may be he was ashamed of himself, they being his future in laws. Joshi and his wife are not fully convinced, and the mother with her raised and sorrowful eyes, wonders what her daughter is up to.
On his way back, Daksh finds Naina, getting ready to leave, and puts her bags in the taxi. Daksh again makes an attempt to keep Naina back, and hopes her to change her mind. Though the parting is painful, she asks him for a commitment, and places his hand on her head, and makes him promise that he will not try to follow her. Accept the fact that destiny was not with them, and did not want them to be together, in spite of their love for each other. She tells him, that she will always love him, and he will be in her heart, wherever she is. Daksh has no power over her adamant decision to leave, which she considers is necessary, as a mother has a unique place in one's life, and her blessing is absolutely needed for any success in one's life. So, she tells him, not to do anything which may cause him to lose this blessing. As the taxi leaves, Daksh is forlorn and enters the house.
He is walking up and down in his room, as everything he sees reminds him of this girl, who came in his life and has now made a lasting impression, and left her mark which he will never be able to forget. Tears well up in his eyes, as he recollects all the beautiful things that happened in their short life together. Akruti comes into his room, and hugs him and with sobs tells him that she could not persuade Naina, and assures him of her goodness, and that she will definitely call him, and they could always be in touch. It is late, so she tells him, to go to sleep and take his rest, and leaves his room.
❤️As he is about to retire, his eyes fall on a letter lying on the table. He picks it up and opens the envelope and reads the letter. A two page letter from Naina. It is so beautiful, and emotional, that Daksh's eyes start to water. She recounts how with her pranks she made his life miserable, and changed him from Karela Patwardan to Daksh Patwardan. He smiles. When he finishes the first page, he places the other one on top of the first and reads it aloud that the viewers too can hear what he is reading. She tells him, how she has taken with her the love globe he bought for her. She will take it by her right, as it was meant for her. She will keep his love in her heart, and even though destiny has made them stay apart, their love will never fade. She ends you with a triple "I love you" and ends with her name. Daksh is overwhelmed with emotion, and utters in deep sorrow, "I love you too, Naina" and his voice falters, as he says this aloud. Would that some of you could open a new topic: "Naina's Love Letter" and transcribe the whole letter on this forum. It is a classic.❤️
Mr and Mrs Patwardhan are in their bedroom, and she is doing her knitting and is gloomy, and thinks of how Naina told her that she loves her son, and that she did not mean to hurt her, but in her self pity, she has not way to heal her wound. Her husband suspects that she is upset, and tries to persuade her, but she tells him that all is fine, and they go to sleep.
Naina gets out of the taxi, and at a bus stand, she is sitting on the bench, and her past goes in her mind, as a slide show, and pains her very much even to think about these things, the cruel words of Rohini pierce her heart, and the wind blows the leaves from the trees, and the haunting music, keeps us on pins and needles, to see this pitiable sight of a girl, thrown out for no fault of hers, but due to the machinations of evil people in their midst, who are harbored by well meaning people who trust anyone for the drop of a hat. The cultural divide is obvious. Naina comes from a background of nobility, and tolerance, and the people of this crowded city, are busy with day to day living, and have a peculiar tendency which says, "You are either with me, or against me." Perceived injuries end of in intolerant decisions of intolerance, and there is no one who can pursue a logical conversation with such people, and Naina happens to be caught up in this vicious circle.
When the viewer is almost giving up hope, a bright star appears in the horizon. We see Anjali busy with her painting and a complete different environment is ushered, where culture and dignity reigns. Anjali hears the door bell ring, and she calls her maid Radha, to open the door. On the persistent ringing, Anjali gets up and goes to the door, and then Radha also is there, and when Anjali asks her why she did not open the door, she tells her, "Look there, who has come ?" Anjali looks up, and her eyes light up to see a sorrowful Naina standing in front of her. Both Radha and Anjali notice that something is wrong and they try to get it out of Naina, but she as usual, brushes their anxiety aside, and tells them that she is tired after a long journey and is very hungry. Radha rushes to prepare her meal, and comes back and asks, "Naina, would you like your favorite Darjeeling tea?" Naina replies, "I have stopped drinking tea. I drink coffee now." Anjali looks surprised. When Radha is gone Anjali tries to dig out from Naina and starts asking her, "How are all in Bombay ? How is Patwardhan ji, and Vibha ji. And that -- what is her name, --yes, Akruti ! How is she ?" Naina gives her a blank reply, "Fine." Anjali senses something has gone wrong. She tells her, "You did a good thing to take a break, and come home. You should always take breaks and relax."
The morning arrives, and Daksh as usual is sitting alone at the dining table. The doting mother rushes back and forth from the kitchen table to the dining table, and places a mug of coffee on his table and tells him, she will bring his breakfast. She brings a plate of beaten rice, and serves him. Daksh does not look up, but takes the mug and raises it to his mouth, and as he takes the first sip, he looks to his side, and sees a smiling Naina, and he is pleased and drinks the coffee. Again when he looks at Naina, she is not there, and he feels depressed.
In the precap, we see on Sonakshi's insistence, her father and mother have come to their house to discuss about the wedding. Daksh is with his mother, and Mr Joshi opens his salvo by saying, "It was good of you Daksh, to say sorry to Sonakshi." In a jiffy, Daksh lets go his composure, and asks, "Mr. Joshi, which apology are you speaking about ? To whom did I say, 'sorry'. What are you talking about ?"
Joshi is confused, and looks at his daughter. They had told him, that she is a liar from head to toe, and her mother never trusted her. What could she do, in front of the goods train, like her husband, more a bully than a lawyer. Tomorrow is Friday, and hope it will be a winding episode, or may be start of a new journey into mine fields of negativity.
