When television rating points (TRPs) of a serial drop, one way of trying to increase it is by introducing newer tracks and more characters.

That's exactly what Star Plus' show Pratigya is doing now. After Abhishek Rawat, now it is the turn of Akanksha Juneja to enter the show. The actress will play Pratigya's childhood friend. At the moment in the serial, the protagonists Krishna and Pratigya are gearing up to go to Mumbai. That's where they will meet Nilima (Akanksha). Whether Nilima's role will go on for long is not certain. That would depend on how audiences accept the track. In the past, this serial has attempted to open up new tracks but some of them did not click. Let's see how this one works.
