Does Khushi know English or not then?

In the episode where Arnav dictated a letter or something, she was able to type it up because of her phone's recorder, when he asked her she said he was talking fast and so the recorder helped but she didn't know, I'm confused, if she didn't know, how did she type... so does she know or not?

I think she knows English, it's very common language every where, maybe the word boyfriend is not know to her or she didn't came across this!

When it comes to English.. who knows what is the "correct" accent.. I live in Chicago and work in IT and hear gazillion different accents..on a daily basis.. desi.. videshi.. real brit , scottishm irish, jamaican, mideastern, ebonics ..boston, NY, mid west, southern american..valley girl accent..u name it..we have someone speaking with that accent where I work and live 😆😆 It is all good.. and so ok..that I can't even take any posts about anyone's accent seriously 😃...

I find the question itself so funny 😆 since somehow the way the Khushi pronounced "boyfriend" started the quest for Khushi's English vocabulary 😆 My personal opinion was ,it was an exaggerated OTT act by Khushi ...

My name is Divya 😆 and no worries.. I didn't really think you meant to post that way. I did get what you mean about how ASR talks. Since I am originally from Delhi.. ..and well..we can loosely use the word accent here.. I think it is more Dilli waala Barun's accent .. so many of my friends speak the same way

I used to think that I had a good command over written and oral ..for English..but Boy.. when you interact with people outside your country..that's when you realize ..there is no such thing as how the word "boyfriend" should be pronounced..😆

I still get amazed at some of the brit dialects..because we grew up listening to BBC type of english and somehow that became the "propah" way of speaking.. It is so NOT !!!! 😆

She knows english.. but can't speak it fluently I think... plus she's shown to have a good accent as well like she pronounced husband as'hus-band' she stressed the word 'band' a lot.

I agree with @sunaina02😊 I think the directors are just making Khushi speak with what is considered a stereotypical UP type of accent

English as a language has changed so much and used so differently now a days..that it is hard to have a scale to judge what's considered "knowing" English. As long as one can communicate ..doesn't matter which words they emphasize..
