The Indian Television Academy Awards, also known as the (ITA Awards) is an annual event organised by the Indian Television Academy.[1] The awards are presented in various categories, including popular programming (music, news, entertainment, sports, travel, lifestyle and fashion), best television channel in various categories, technical awards, and best performance awards.
The first Indian Television Academy Awards were held in Mumbai on 30 November 2001 while the ITA was flagged off on 18 July 2001 and the 11th Awards took place on the 25th of Sep at YRF Studios..The ITA was founded by Anu Ranjan -The President of The ITA and Shashi Ranjan-The Convenor of The ITA..The ITA is the only TV Award in India which is cross all channels and has now completed its 11th year..They have been annually telecast in all GEC channels namely Star Plus..Zee..Sony TV..They are the highest rated awards on Indian Television..
