Who is this guy? Why was he a guest judge?
If he can be brought on as a guest judge, why not my gardener? Why not you? Why not grab random people off the street and make them guest judges too?

I think he is KK's friend. I remember once KK mentioning that he likes two MD - one is Ram and the other is Rehman. I think that's the guy he talked about.

What does not makes sense here is Although Ram and KK might be the best of friends they both had different opinion on Niladri's singing..
KK did not have anything negative to say or even guidance...Where Ram gave all input so I am lost...
If they were best of friends and in cahoot with ea other than they both would have had similar take abt Niladri...
I could be totally wrong here..

I understand that Ram has become unpopular because of how he provided feedback to Niladri. But need we ridicule and deride him thus? He is a music director. Maybe he's not quite as successful, as others, but I do like his songs from the movie 'Khakee'. And I think its good to have a musician as a guest rather than a movie star because this is a musical show.

Yes, if he can make little kids cry, he can some handle some ridicule himself too.

All he had to say was "Niladri aap ne accha gaaya lekin aur accha ho sakta thaa agar lufz aur saaf hotay"

Done. You give the feedback and you don't sound like a jackass, and the kid doesn't start crying.

Ok. I agree with you on the bolded part. But I don't believe in an eye for an eye philispophy.

I just have issues with calling him Pampat etc...(whatever that means).

KK did not want to win the wrath of the audience and realised that Ram had gone off track so just tried to divert attention. Ram gave KK his first break

I only had a chance to watch the segment online yesterday and I was shocked to see it. But I have not quite figured out why discussions about almost negative things on the show quite often end up getting linked with KK somehow.

From what I have seen, I feel that KK sometimes goes over the board in his enthusiasm and uses language difficult for children to understand. But I have not seen him being unkind to any child.

Perhaps there is something which I do not get. But this does make me wonder (just wondering aloud, not an argument. )
