Shahi creates bolder Colours
Colors is getting bolder and taking on more socially-relevant themes. Producer Rajan Shahi of Bidaai and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai fame whose last show for Colors was Swarg, is now ready with his second show for the channel.
Titled Havan, it revolves around a godman and deals with his relationships in the family and outside. In keeping with the channel's policy of issue-based realistic programming, Havan is said to be a hard-hitting show. Narendra Jha plays the lead role of the godman in the show, while Shubhangi Atre plays his loyal disciple and supporter. Kunal Verma and a young girl play the younger leads in the show, which is expected to go on air in the first week of September. Besides Havan, Rajan is also making two more shows for Sony and Star One. The Sony show is a mature love story with a hospital backdrop featuring Mohnish Behl, Kritika Kamran and Rukhsaar. The Star One show is a youth-based story set in a family.
